One week ago today, voters across America were casting their votes in the mid-term election. Many were predicting a -red wave-. It turned out to be a -purple trickle.---As of this broadcast, the Senate has 49 Republicans and 50 Democrats with the December Georgia runoff still hanging in the balance. Either way, Chuck Schumer will continue as majority leader. In the House, projections show 13 seats left in play with Republicans holding 217 seats to the Democrats 205.--Then there's the election for governor of Arizona where now it appears that Katie Hobbs has won over Kari Lake.--This was the brief review given by Jim before his introduction of guest Robert Knight. Robert is a former Los Angeles Times news editor and columnist for the Washington Times and contributes to other publications as well. Robert has held senior positions in a number of pro-family organizations. He has written several books including The Coming Communist Wave- What Happens If the Left Captures All Three Branches of Government, Liberty on the Brink, and the brand new- Crooked- What Really Happened in the 2020 Election and How to Stop the Fraud. --Jim then sought comment from Robert concerning H.R.8404 that the U.S. Senate will soon be voting on. H.R.8404 -Mat Staver from Liberty Counsel calls it, the oxymoronic Respect for Marriage Act- previously passed the House 267-156. 47 Republicans joined the 220 Democrats to pass the legislation.

We're certainly in a spiritual battle today. It's not against flesh and blood but it's against principalities and powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places. Whether you realize it or not, as it pertains to this battle, the youth of this generation have a big target painted on their backs. --How do we fend off such conflict- Is victory possible- --Joining Jim in-studio to provide some answers was Carl Kerby. Jim began this broadcast by asking a question. Have you ever seen two pictures side by side and a question next to them that asks what the difference is- It may mention that there are 10 differences and you need to find them. At first glance the pictures may look identical but upon further examination you begin to see obvious differences while others are a bit more obscure. As you take more time to study the pictures, before long, you begin to see an increasing number of differences.--This program compared two -pictures- for listeners to consider. One was that of biblical Christianity and the other was Roman Catholicism. Some would say the -pictures- are the same but the guest says otherwise. He concludes that the pictures are actually quite different. --Joining Jim in-studio was Mike Gendron. Mike is the founder and director of Proclaiming the Gospel Ministry. Mike was a devout Roman Catholic for over 3 decades and was taught to rely upon the authority of the church above all else. He searched the Scriptures and was amazed to find that what he read in Scripture contradicted the teaching and tradition of the church he had been a part of for so long. He trusted Jesus as his Savior and now the Bible has become his sole authority in all matters of faith. Mike is the author of the books, Preparing for Eternity and Contending for the Gospel and has produced numerous videos with warnings concerning false teachings vs. the truth of the Scriptures.

This edition of Crosstalk began with some post election news items. These included---The latest seat count for Republicans and Democrats as final congressional races continue to be called...Hundreds or even thousands of ballots disappear in Mercer County New Jersey...The Senate race in Georgia between Raphael Warnock and GOP challenger Herschel Walker heads to a December 6th runoff...3 states added abortion provisions to their state constitutions while 2 states voted down measures that would restrict abortion...Two lesbian governors were elected...Minnesota has elected its first transgender state lawmaker in the House...Five states vote in favor of legalizing recreational marijuana...82 Muslims elected into office...and more.--Jim then read the following from historian William Federer----On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, World War I ended. Though the armistice was signed at 5am on November 11th 1918, the fighting continued until 11am killing nearly 11,000 more men.---This kicked off the veterans appreciation portion of this program that also featured a poem from Charles Michael Province, words from President Dwight Eisenhower, and listeners as they called in with special words of appreciation in honor of all veterans.

Here's a selection of election-related news items that Jim covered-----Poll workers at a key voting location in Arizona's Maricopa County announced this morning that voting machines at a polling station in Anthem were not working.----A Georgia judge Monday agreed to have the ballot return deadline extended for about 1,000 Cobb County absentee voters who did not have their requested mail ballots sent out by election officials.----As voters across Mercer County, New Jersey, head to the polls to cast their ballots, officials have announced their voting machines had gone down due to a -county-wide system outage.- Authorities informed residents that they could still vote via standard ballot and insert their ballot into the emergency slot into the machine. The question is- What happens after that-----After President Joe Biden attacked state election reforms and asserted that democracy is on the ballot, his administration's Justice Department announced Monday that it would be sending election observers to 24 states.----The state of Florida is pushing back against federal government monitoring inside polling places saying it violates state law.----Cyber security units from the National Guard activated in 14 U.S. states to help counter any threats to election officials' networks ahead of, during, and following the mid-term election.----President Joe Biden spoke at a rally in support of Governor Kathy Hochul of New York on Sunday. Jim presented an audio clip from the president where he said, -Give me two more Democrats in the Senate, and we keep control of the House, we're going to codify Roe v. Wade in January and make it the law of the land.-

He began this broadcast by communicating his thoughts on LGBTQ issues, abortion, Biden grants in support of atheism, and more.--From there, Jim moved into numerous stories making news around the world-----Procedures that involve handing out chemicals to children and doing body mutilation surgeries have cost taxpayers in Pennsylvania nearly 17 million dollars in recent years.----Parents who oppose transgender ideology or irreversible drugs and surgeries for kids may lose custody of their children in the near future. ----Saudi Arabia has shared intelligence with the U.S. that Iran is planning to launch a series of attacks in the region in an effort to distract from domestic protests.----A shocking new report from the British government details that the violent persecution of Christian minority populations continues unabated in Iran.----Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid congratulated Benjamin Netanyahu on his election win.----Social media giants essentially granted government officials the ability to censor and suppress speech in the name of fighting misinformation by providing them direct access to flag posts in an open line of communication with senior executives.----The number of U.S. Navy sailors released from service for refusing the COVID shot nearing 2,000.----President Biden falsely claims that his son Beau died in Iraq.----President Biden claims he spoke with the man who invented insulin. The problem is that this man died before President Biden was born.----A diesel fuel crisis threatens to take the U.S. to the brink of collapse.

The upcoming election will determine the control of Congress, many state legislatures, and governorships. However, a key issue that will be impacted by this election is the matter of abortion. This tie-in to the election is crucial because after the Supreme Court released the Dobbs decision and Roe was overturned, President Biden communicated that Roe is on the ballot. --Returning to Crosstalk to shed light on this issue was Brad Mattes. Brad is the president of Life Issues Institute which was founded in 1991. Brad is the host of Life Issues, a daily radio commentary and has produced numerous radio specials standing for life.--Ever since the Supreme Court abortion draft was leaked on May 2nd, there've been blasts of outrage, anger, arson, threats, destruction and vandalism. On June 24th when the decision was released, the outrage increased. --Since all that took place, there's been good news. Brad noted that since the Dobbs decision, over 10,000 babies have been spared from having their lives taken by the abortion industry.--Brad believes that President Biden is weaponizing the Department of Justice and FBI in order to silence and intimidate pro-life American patriots. The following contrast proves his point well. --Since the leaked document, there have been over 160 acts of domestic terrorism against pro-life entities. This includes fire-bombing and vandalism, yet there hasn't been one single arrest or charge to date.--On the other side of the ledger, on August 31st of last year in Kalamazoo, Michigan, someone set a few fires at the Planned Parenthood clinic. Only 4 days after that occurred, the person responsible was in custody and charged with arson.

As we get ever closer to the November election, one of the things on the minds of many is the topic of election integrity, the threat of voter fraud and the stealing of elections. There are matters taking place around the nation including court rulings that favor election integrity while others cast doubts on it.--So can we vote with confidence in this upcoming election- Hopefully moving forward things will be better. Nonetheless, the guest on this edition of Crosstalk has studied the 2020 election and he discovered evidence of fraud, unconstitutional election law rigging, and other disturbing aspects that appeared designed to take things to a predetermined result.--The guest we're referring to is Robert Knight. Many times on Crosstalk we've described how children are being targeted in our secular culture. Included in that are those influences that are seeking to lure children away from biblical morality, questioning right vs. wrong or even trying to alienate children away from their parents.
