Today John, Ana, and Steve are joined by Greg to discuss Vegan Rock! 9. Vegan Rock! is a concert/bake sale/fundraiser that is taking place on June 8th at The Boat (158 Augusta Avenue, Toronto). Talented veg musicians, friends, and the smells of baked goods, all mingling at a Kensington bar, mean it is not a night to be missed. The co-hosts also talk about TVA Reads, important books (Save the Humans! and Drawdown), upcoming veg festivals, and debate which ingredients in their kitchens they can’t live without. Vegan Rock! 9 is graciously sponsored by Green Zebra Kitchen, Mama Vegan, Sick on Sin, Tori’s Bakeshop, Truth Belts, Vegan Stokes Cheeses, and Vegetarian Haven. Listen now!

Today we are hosting a Worldwide Vegan Bake sale at the TVA Resource Centre and it’s a great time to do a flashback to the recent 9th Annual Totally Fabulous Vegan Bake Off. In this special edition on-site podcast Ana interviews bakers, volunteers, a TVA board member and the organizer extraordinaire Natalie Stephenson.
Today Ana, Sarah, Angeline and John try to debunk the notion that you can’t eat healthy on a budget. John has gotten really angry in the past over the idea that eating healthy is more expensive than eating poorly, and the ladies calmly address this issue, which resulted in John not getting too worked up and throwing objects in a fit of rage.
Today John, Lisa, and Jeanette had the opportunity to talk with Chef Susur Lee. The discussion centres around the vegetarian menu promotion, Garden to Table, which is taking place at Bent Restaurant. The menu is vegetarian, but vegans are welcome to make their dietary preferences known and accommodations will be made. Garden to Table runs from March 30th to April 15th; however, the popularity of the event is so high that there is discussion of adding a third week.
Today Sarah, Steve and Ana talk to Josh LaJaunie, a plant based ultra runner from Southern Louisiana. Josh won last year’s Runner’s World cover search and can seen on the December 2016 issue. We asked Josh about his weight loss journey, running and making the change to a plant based lifestyle. You can find more information about Josh on his website joshlajaunie.com
