Vegans Talking Shit has its first guest ever as The Tofu Trio welcomes their friend and fellow vegan Virginia Le Fay. There are a couple of big milestones in this episode of Vegans Talking Shit. For one thing, this is the first episode recorded via Zoom, as Jon and Vanessa are enjoying a winter break in Chicago. In part one of a two-part episode, The Tofu Trio discusses the occasional hostility between ethical vegans and health vegans. A few days after attending the Vegan Block Party event in Ft. Lauderdale, The Tofu Trio sat down to record an episode about vegan events. At least, that was the plan. In this episode, Vanessa talks about earning her first "hater" on YouTube, Joey talks about his father's movie, "The Miami Affair," and there's a discussion about the dangers of IcyHot pain relief cream. Also, the greatness of the movie "Good Will Hunting" is discussed, Joey plays sound effects at Jon’s expense (yet again), and Vanessa laughs hysterically when her beloved husband needs a break to relieve an excruciating leg cramp. The three of them eventually settle down long enough to actually get into the topic at hand, but they quickly realize that very few people outside of South Florida would care about any of it.
