VEMORii

What happens when a concert culture journalist gets backstage at one of the most legendary venues in America and starts wondering if she’s seeing too much?

On a backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry, I found myself caught between wanting to see everything and wondering whether pulling back the curtain takes away some of the mystery that makes live music so powerful. Then I stepped onto that famous wooden circle and the story became unexpectedly personal.

My parents had been in this same room decades before me, young and dating, long before I existed. Suddenly, I wasn’t only standing inside country music history. I was standing inside a piece of my own.

An audio field note about the Grand Ole Opry, the strange privilege of going backstage, and how one venue can collapse time across artists, fans and generations.

Meet the hosts of Concert CHAT: A new talk show reviewing the venues, culture, and performance from a car right after the encore.

Watch the Video Version of Our Interview here.

In this kickoff conversation, we share how Kyle and Tim met, the parallel creative journeys that brought us together, and some behind-the-scenes stories from making our pilot season.

From Tim's work creating Judge Travis, a scripted audio sitcom set in a courtroom, to Kyle's years documenting music venues, concert culture, and the fan experience, we discuss the creative ambitions and experiences that shaped Concert CHAT.

We also introduce VEMORii, the platform behind Concert CHAT, and why we believe the future of concert culture starts with better storytelling, trusted context, and putting fans at the center of the experience. I matched with the frontman of a band I used to sing my heart out to, one of our most prolific songwriters. A brief romance unfolded, then ended without a single word. Here’s what I learned about the duality of musicians and the heartbreak of mistaking his lyrics for the person I thought he was.
