Venture Church

This week we have a special guest from Papua New Guinea, Brian Paris. He serves with Pioneer Bible Translators, an organization that strives to translate the Bible into languages that don't have readable versions yet. He shares several breathtaking stories and challenges with our Church that we would love for you to be challenged and encouraged by. Tune in this week to hear about the amazing things God is doing in Papua New Guinea.

Harry Potter is nothing without his friends. Yes he's very natural when it comes to learning spells and enchantments, but his friends are part of the victory at the end of the series along with Harry. There are similarities between the community found in this series and also the community found in the Bible. Tune in this week to learn some very important principles about community and why we need each other.

Every week during this series we use an epic movie as a launching pad to dive into the Bible. We kick off the series with one of the most epic movie series ever, "Star Wars." Through today's message we learn more about the Spirit of God and the war inside each and every one of us.

A lot has happened since Moses encountered God on Mount Sinai. Moses is continuing his life living for the glory of the Lord. There are years of wandering and years of battle, but yet Moses remains faithful to the Lord. Moses' character shines brightly through the mess they are in in these final chapters we have of his life. If you need encouragement and to know more about God through the Bible this message is for you.

The 10 Commandments are there for a reason and the reason is love. God loves us too much for us to live life in a degrading way to our souls and our bodies. He gave us Jesus and the 10 commandments to help with that and bring Him glory. You don't want to miss out on the truth behind the last 6 and how vital it is to understand their power in our lives.

Ever wondered why rules exist throughout the Bible? Why does God have commandments for people to follow? The main point is that God loves us more than we realize because He knows what's best for us. If the Ten Commandments have been something hard to swallow at times, tune in this week to see the truth behind it's purpose.

We tend to be a people that are very happy in the mountain tops but then flip to extremely sad in the vallys. We forget who is really in control through both the highs and the lows. The people in in the Bible are the exact same. We see just how faitfhul God is to His people and how He will never fail us even when we fail Him.

Here we are at the part of Moses' story that brings us the title of this book, Exodus. We arrive at the most famous part of the story when God is performing nation wide miracles. Amazing things that even Pixar in all their video production glory couldn't even begin to recreate on screen. Finally by the end of the story Pharoh relents and a huge change happens when the people of Israel are set free.

We continue on with week two of this series through the book of Exodus. Last week we read about Moses hearing the voice of God and witnessing His power through a burning bush. We pick up to when God performs some even more incredible miracles before Moses heads out to Egypt. There is an applicable point that we learn from this story that you don't want to miss. Tune in this week for week two through the life of Moses.

Over the next several weeks we will be following the life of Moses through the book of Exodus. This week we start with a bit of back story on where we are in history in the Bible. We also cover the first three chapters of Exodus and share a powerful truth about God and His power. This series is filled with miracles and moments that will blow your mind in how incredible the God of Abraham is. Tune in this week as we share the first big challenge Moses has had to face and how God uses him through it.
