Every year at Venture we celebrate the birth of Jesus with a unique service to glorify Him and teach. This year we had an interactive service that was a narrative of the story fo Jesus and how important His light is in our lives. Chris shares a snippet on how valuable light is in our lives and that Jesus is the only true light in this world.

As we wrap up this series we can't help but see that God had a plan to send Jesus to the world long before He came. We see a plethora of prophecies of Jesus coming to earth that are so detailed it will blow your mind. This week we look at a handful of those prophecies and see just how good God is with his plans, plans, plans.

We cover one classic story from the life of Daniel today. Daniel in the lion's den is a famous story and for many reasons. We can find a heaping amount of wisdom from Daniel's reactions to trials in life. This week especially we have three applicable life traits that we can learn from Daniel's story. Tune in this weke to learn those and find strength in the Lord when all hope is lost.

The story of Daniel take a slight turn as we learn about the outcome of not holding fast to God. Learning that He is in control is tough but passages like the one we read today will help see that God has a different perspective to work all things out for the good of those who love Him. 

The beauty of Jesus is that forgiveness is near. Closer than you think. It doesn't come at a price other than surrender to God and His way of living. Confronting sin can be a scary thing, because we know how hard those troubles are and we may think that God doesn't want that. Truly, God wants every bit of us. He wants to take that darkness and turn it into wonderful light that can change lives. Tune in this week as we continue to learn through Daniel and his experiences with confronting sin.

What do you do when you reach the end of you? This week we dive into the second chapter of the book of Daniel and we find that there is a moment that it very well could've been the end of Daniel's life, but his response is one that we should mimic in times of despair. This whole series we will go through the life of Daniel. Daniel was known for many things and one the one thing we learn from this week is how he stood out from everyone else. He always stayed faithful to what God wanted no matter how bad the consequences. Following the Lord is worth it all and we learn how to do that through Daniel this week.
