With the new rise in production of super hero movies every viewer loves to see the Hulk destroy everything in his path. Unfortunately for him he wishes he didn't have to keep his anger at bay every single moment of the day. Many of us have an inner hulk. Whether it is anger or another struggle we hulk out on when it gets triggered. Jesus combats our darkness with light. A well that will never run dry. Learn this week about the promises of Jesus and how He never fails at bringing hope to a hopeless world.

One of the most famous line of super hero movies has got to be the Batman movies. From the late 60's to today there have been consistent desire for batman movies and shows. This week we dive into Bruce Wayne's life story, aka. Batman, as a launching point to get into the Bible. Bruce had a lot of pain to deal with including the death of His family, loneliness, a corrupt city, and many more. Bruce handled his pain the wrong way, this morning we teach about how Jesus wants us to handle our pain and the peace that He brings through life with Him.

Every year Venture Church does a past year recap and state of where we are as a church body. This Sunday is just that plus more. Instead of just looking back to see what God has done through our church, we want to look towards the future of what we hope to accomplish for the Kingdom of God. This week we are using Captain America, who was once a nobody but became a "Super Soldier." Through Christ we are given a fresh start in life but also the gift of the Holy Spirit, the power of Christ in us and around us. God brings us back to life in so many ways and you do not want to miss out this week as we learn about how awesome the Holy Spirit is.

This Sunday we left the walls behind and went to Hugh Macrae park for our Sunday morning service. You may hear crickets and some wind but we finish up the book of Jonah with a great ending. If you've been following this series or this is your first time tuning it, it is a great encouragement to not give up and continue pressing on in life towards Jesus.

Jonah has been through a lot in the past two chapters. Running away from God did not do what He hoped, but instead brought him to the inevitable, still having the same call that God began with. Many of us see or hear signs from God but we don't know what they are. Sometimes we even just completely deny those signs. We hope you listen in to the second chance that Jesus has to offer. No matter what you've done or how far you've run God wants you to know that He loves you and He wants to redeem you and give you unspeakable joy.

This week we continue on in Chapter two through the book of Jonah. This story has ups and downs like no other and there are many life lessons we can learn throughout. Whether you've heard this story or just jumping in, take a dive into week 2 of "Jonah, A Man On The Run."

The book of Jonah is a small book in the bible with incredible power. The story of Jonah is relatable on many levels and is great story to read about the power of God, the providence He brings, and the safety that arrives when we seek and follow Him.
