The word judge has many different meanings to it that we tend to throw around. Some negative and some positive but none the less we tend to judge everyone or everything we come in contact with. Jesus teaches us the right way to view life and at Venture we want to do just that. Tune in this week to learn about Jesus' view on judgement.

Worrying is a common response to situations in life but Jesus makes a point to say that there is a better way to live. By our own strength we are still human but by seeking Jesus first in life He promises that all of our needs will be met. Trusting God and not worrying about life is tough but Jesus brings peace and joy through seeking Him first.

Thinking of how quick our lives come and go there are many things we seek after that in the end are meaningless. Jesus talks about storing up treasures in heaven and how important it is to follow Him versus living for ourselves.

Christianity is all about following Christ with our lives by loving God and loving others like Jesus did. In order to love God back we need to have constant relationship Him even more so than our best friends and spouses. That leads to the often thought of how do we approach God? How do I talk to him? How to I follow Him? By diving into the words of Jesus Himself, we answer these questions.

Jesus is the beautiful contrast to the world. He contrasts the world by always responding with love and grace instead of hate and revenge. He calls us to do the very same thing. Every week in this series we are breaking down pieces of Jesus' most famous sermon, "The Sermon on The Mount." This week we learn about humility and forgiveness through the powerful words of Jesus.

Lying affects the world we live in every day. It is extremely easy to tell a fib to cover our backs or more often cover our friend's back. This week we learn about the truth that Jesus tells in "The Sermon On The Mount" that have to deal with lying and backing out of commitments. Though the truth is harder to tell sometimes and some commitments are even harder to maintain, building a strong Christ like character and telling the truth always like Jesus is the greatest way to live our lives.

Throughout this sermon series we are teaching through a famous passage of the Bible called "The Sermon On The Mount." Throughout this whole passage Jesus preaches the truth about different topics and questions we all have sometime or another. This specific week we come to a portion where Jesus talks about adultery, divorce, and sex. We want to warn you that some of the portions of this may be PG-13. But, we promise to try our absolute best to speak only the truths that are in the Bible. No matter what your marital status is you don't want to miss out on this week's message.

Jesus was topical often when teaching to His disciples or in crowds. Anger is definitely one of those topics. With statements that grind against what the norm is for our culture Jesus states the truth and nothing but to bring us close to Him and learn how to deal with anger. Anger can consume us. So, tune in this week to hear how Jesus is the answer.
