The Silver Threads band are combining with the Merredin community choir tomorrow night for a concert that will make for a wonderful evening. Retired musos from around the state who have banned together in providing some great music.

Fast 5, a games of the future. The WA general manager of community netball Liz Booth fills us in on this up and coming game and the first match premiered in the country with Beverly Netball Club in our region which is awesome! :) 

James gives a review of how the Dogs Day Out went at Bernard Park over the weekend and some great Basketball games were happening both for the Night Hoops competition and the Wheatbelt Aboriginal Health Service that put on a great day tournament as well.

I chat with cast member Chris Carter/Jimmy the Scot this morning about the upcoming Quairading Curtain Raisers production of 'Highland Fling' with tomorrow being opening night :) 

Today is John Lithgows' birthday so we discuss the 1987 film Harry and the Hendersons. The genre of fantasy/buddy it is more of a comedy adventure with a few well directed messages woven in between the silliness and often tender moments.

Starring; John Lithgow, Melinda Dillon, Margaret Langrick and Joshua Rudoy as the Henderson family.

The Henderson's, returning from a hunting/camping vacation literally run into a Sasquatch with their family station wagon. Believing the body to be a great scientific discovery they take it home with them. Great plan, but it isn't dead. At first terrified by it they soon learn that Harry, as they call him, is a kind and sensitive soul as well as somewhat quirky. 

As they grow fonder of him they soon release that keeping him is placing him in danger from fanatic yeti hunters, played brilliantly by David Sachet, and employ the help and wisdom of the great Don Ameche, who is kinda a curator of the Sasquatch legend.
