She is a full time artist from Chennai, and she also undertakes freelance projects. Her works involve practicing art, doing customized works and applying for awards.

As a self-learning artist, She had had a flair for art since her childhood. She found the drawings in the record notebooks very interesting that none of her record notebook drawings went without a little decoration or shading. She tried to pursue B.A. Fine Arts, but was not quite determined. Art is an addiction. Whether she studied it or not, it was vested within me as a dormant form. It is not dormant anymore, and none of my days are elapsing without a practice sketch.

Dr .Himaja had her Arangetram in Jan 1983 after 7 years of training from Smt.Sudharani Raghupathy. The Arangetram was followed by a number of performances under the auspices of renowned Sabhas and institutions in Chennai and Various towns of Tamilnadu and Andhrapradesh like Madurai, Coimbatore, Salem, Pondicherry, Nellore and Gudur totaling to more than 100 solo Performances. She has also participated in many Dance festivals. Her programmes have been telecast in the National programme for Music and Dance by the Delhi Doordarshan and also by the Bombay Doordarshan and Madras Doordarshan. The audience response for these performances have been extremely appreciative.

Swapna Sundar is a lawyer with a degree in Political Science. After a Masters in Law from the Brussels School of International Studies, and a stint as a teaching assistant at the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK, where she supported lectures in British Constitutional Law, she returned to  Chennai to found and manage IP DOME IP Strategy Advisors, a multi-disciplinary firm working on International strategies for IP Monetisation.

In addition to several publications in newspapers and academic journals, Swapna is the author of several books and textbooks. She is currently practicing law and teaching courses relating to Law and Technology at NALSAR University, Asian College of Journalism, National Institute of Fashion Technology and is guest faculty for IPR at several institutions including VIT and Symbiosis University.
