This week Anna Grace is joined by guest host, Taylor McGowan. We cover the shows you need to know from London and Milan Fashion Week FW23. While the overall vibe of most of the runway shows were drab (think brown, sellable workwear- boring!), a few managed to catch our eye. 

Some heritage fashion brands are bringing in young designers to breathe new life into these old houses. Daniel Lee makes his debut at Burberry- spoiler alert, we love it! Over at Roberto Cavalli, Fausto Puglisi delivered all of the Cavalli essentials- sex appeal, animal print and denim. Plus, did Filippo Grazioli at Missoni just make the must have dress of the season?

One of the best part about London Fashion Week is that is always shines a light on smaller, less known designers. Johanna Prav delivered a forward thinking, utilitarian collection for the modern woman who bikes to work. LFW also showcased several Ukrainian designers, like Frolov who recently dressed Beyonce for the Atlantis hotel in Dubai's secret opening event.

New York Fashion Week baby! We stuck with our tried and true formula of each picking three shows, and it was a wild ride! From spiritual encounters with butterflies to fruits, designers drew inspiration from more and more creative places. Some kept a traditional muse (Christian Cowan and Judy Garland), while others found inspiration in more vague concepts (Rodarte discovered the magic of fairies in their collection). We had some favorites pop up (Michael Kors, Area)  along with some others that just struck a cord this season (Prabal Gurung)! Don't miss it!

This week we sit down with Timothy Chernyaev better known as @relaxitsonlyfashion on TikTok. Timothy started out his career as an intern at Women’s Wear Daily then went on to work for W Magazine and Vogue Russia in New York, before making the jump to freelance writer and stylist.

After moving to LA, Timothy styled celebrities like Ariana Grande, The 1975, and Chloe and Halle when the pair was just starting out. You know we’ve been dying to ask a celebrity stylist all the details when it comes to red carpets, and Timothy’s insights were maybe not what we were expecting… sometimes a celebrity just needs to feel good in a outfit to get through an event & not every look has to be a huge fashion moment- even Beyoncé can pair it back when needed.

But you probably know Timothy for his runway show recaps on TikTok. Timothy is known for his calm demeanor and deadpan honesty, but once we got talking about his fantastic outfits from this week we felt like we really got to see just how passionate and knowledgable he is about building relationships with clients and peers alike. He's truly as relaxed about fashion as his handle would imply, so put your headphones in and enjoy!

Award show seasons was officially kicked off last week with The Golden Globes! We talk about the ~vibes~ of this award show traditionally and how it impacts celebrities' red carpet style, and what those celebrities wore! 

Fashion month is still a couple weeks away, but the menswear shows have officially kicked off and one in particular that stood out to us was DSquared2! From embellished denim to trucker hats to ignoring gender norms, this show proved that the mid 2000s are surely poised for a come back after the Y2K takeover from the past few years.
