Ever think of those veterans in mass media like Audie Murphy or Lee Marvin from an older era? Mike's first guest on Veteran Et Cetera is Rudy Reyes.
What is unique about Rudy? How did he develop his own script instead of being a complete pawn to the veteran culture vultures in Hollywood?
In veteran culture Rudy Reyes became that legendary mass media veteran for this present era and is a legendary Recon Marine and Sniper best captured in the HBO Series Generation Kill. Since Rudy played himself in the series, he has founded Force Blue, a non profit organization made up of a team of elite vets and scientists who scuba dive and save coral reefs around the world.
In this episode Rudy gives a deep part of himself for listeners. In this warrior counter narrative Rudy, the key host of the global TV series SAS Who Dares Wins, recently shared with British news media the dark realities of veteran readjustment after the military. Rudy's contributions to Veteran Readjustment Culture are immense. Follow Rudy on Instagram @Real Rudy Reyes.
