He uses his own story to inspire other veterans. He knows first-hand how hard it is to find your individuality and passion of the brotherhood and sisterhood that you once held while serving.   Chris Hoffmann is the CEO and founder of VET Training and Coaching. Becoming a Man   Chris Hoffmann was born and raised in the in the suburbs of St. Louis in the town of St. Charles. Prior to joining the Marines, Chris was a guy seeking masculinity. His youth was spent trying to prove his masculinity to the world.   Chris found his purpose and sense of work ethic through playing baseball in school. He came to a crossroads at 18. Did he chase his dream as a professional baseball player or join the Marine Corps and escape from his small town and see the world?   When the recruiter told him he could play baseball in the Marines, quickly Chris made up his mind. Hard Lessons Learned The first key Chris discovered after about a year in Marine Corps. He got the job he wanted, he was driving big trucks as Motor T Operator. He was in MOS school and he had a 3 day liberty.   “We think the process should go a certain and envision it but it goes the way it’s supposed to” - Chris Hoffmann   Chris was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood about 2 hours from his home town. He took some of his buddies home with him to show them around. On the last night, he wound up getting a DUI while on liberty. His path through the Marines came crashing down immediately. He was reclassed to a combat cook.   To hear the rest of Chris’ lessons learned and how he can help you, download and listen to the entire episode Chris Hoffmann VET Training and Coaching. Tune in and learn how you can connect with others and achieve the success you want!   The Networking Expert   Alana Muller is a Networking speaker, workshop facilitator, coach and author of the book, Coffee Lunch Coffee: A Practical Field Guide for Master Networking and a companion blog, CoffeeLunchCoffee.com.   Her accessible, relevant, immediately actionable approach to professional Networking for those interested in connecting with others, getting involved in their community, seeking to advance their career or looking to build social relationships has helped thousands of people formulate a strategic mindset around Networking while creating a game plan to get out there and connect.   Journey to Success   Alana proudly hails from Kansas City, and highly appreciates the military. When she was born, her dad was drafted to Germany. She lived there with her parents in an army base.   In college, she studied as a Math major who was very much interested in numbers and in analyzing things. Alana recalls her experience from an annual retreat at the University of Chicago. The first was her former UC classmate, who also got recruited out of college to a big company. After few years, however, she decided to quit to begin her own business.   The second speaker talked about networks. From them, Alana realized one thing: the attendees consisted of people who wanted to become entrepreneurs and  the speakers were the only ones in the retreat who were living up to that career.   To hear how you can Take Your Networking to the Next Level with Alana Muller Author of Coffee Lunch Coffee, download and listen to the entire episode. He has just published his first book, “Faded Jeans to Army Greens - A Story of Army Life from Basic to Desert Storm”.   A Heart to Serve   Mike grew up in Colorado. Although he was just an average student that time, he was very good in completing responsibilities. He did well in his work at a fast food restaurant.   Ever since he was young, he always wanted to give back to his country. As Operation Desert Storm was building up, Mike was called back to serve. • Post, Buy, Sell Exclusively for the Military Community with Resupply Active Duty Army Paul Tocci
149: Resupply: Post, Buy, Sell Exclusively for the Military Community

A West Point graduate, Paul started ReSupply within the entrepreneurial program at the academy. Before ReSupply, Paul was a Division 1 lacrosse player, and CEO of a real estate development company (LITS Development). He is a native of Sudbury, MA.

    Paul The Young Entrepreneur

Paul had his first job at his father’s landscape company. He was just 10 years old when he started working in a mechanic shop. He fixed junk equipment from his dad’s company, and resold it on Craigslist. Paul was always into business from such an early age.

For 3 years, he worked on a sales equipment company that he started. His items included landscape equipment, golf carts, industrial equipment, and construction supplies. Afterwards, he worked for his uncle at a construction for 1 year.

He took after his dad and uncle’s entrepreneurial footsteps, and learned about the whole business process. Every year from 15 years old until he graduated from West Point, Paul worked on real estate where he would buy a complex, rent it out, and purchase another one.

    Business at West Point

Paul entered West Point as a lacrosse player. That’s where he found a new opportunity for selling. He couldn’t play and continue with his business at the same time, however. So, he decided to start a new one at the academy by selling textbooks.

He got another business opportunity by the end of his sophomore year, when he was invited to work for a fashion company. Paul spent about a year and a half in the fashion industry, until he went on an exchange opportunity at a Spanish academy.

    ReSupply for Military Personnel

By the time he returned to West Point, he took up a business course where he got the opportunity to compete for $25,000. He had a company, but didn’t know how to create an application that would allow him to run his business.

He sought for advice from a variety of people. Paul eventually won 1st place in the regionals, but still didn’t have the cash prize. So, he went on to compete at the state level.

Within 10 days, he launched his application which posted over $70,000 worth of value. It also generated almost 40,000 transactions, and spread across military installations. From that, Paul saw the need for similar stuffs in military equipment.

Scams teemed the marketplace, and there was no reliable platform available. That’s when ReSupply was formed— the safest place to buy, sell, and trade exclusively within your military community.

To hear about the safest military marketplace, download and listen to Resupply: Post, Buy, Sell Exclusively for the Military Community. If you enjoyed the show, leave us a rating and review. We love hearing from you!
