This episode's guest is Shawn Robare. He has previously been a guest to chat about his passion for The Monster Squad as well as his appearance in the documentary Wolfmans Got Nards. In addition to that, Shawn also co-hosts (co-co-hosts?) Cult Film Club. A podcast where the three hosts celebrate films that they have always loved. You can also find Shawn's website Branded In The 80s. Which is full of meticulous nostalgia. He is also just an all around gem and we are excited to have him return.

The Seventh Curse (1986) is directed by Lam Ngai Kai (Story of Ricky) and stars Chow Fun Fat and Chin Sui-Ho. The story follows a doctor/policeman who attempts to save a woman from being murdered by the worm tribe. (and a ton of other things that are awesome and insane!) If you like kung fu, horror, monsters, skeleton lords, and blood curses then boy do we have a film for you! This episode's guest is Josh Griffith who is one of three hosts of the Solid Six Podcast. Where he, Allison, and Barnabus each pick double features and delve deep into the films. They have wonderful conversations and Dirk is a big fan of their podcast (which is why he has asked all three to be guests!) On this episode Josh and Dirk shout out their current favorites in books, music, video games, television, and movies. Then they take a look back at REDLINE (1997). The film is directed by Tibor Takacs and stars Rutger Hauer. An action, sci-fi, thriller with a lot of style! So enjoy this fantastic episode of New Releases and Late Returns!

Guest Mike Scott is the host of Adkins Undisputed which is a wonderful podcast celebrating the career of the action movie star Scott Adkins. Dirk is a big fan of the podcast and loves when Scott comes on and not only talks about his filmography but that of other action stars. In addition to hosting Adkins Undisputed, you can also hear Mike on the Dana Buckler Show. Mike is an action film Aficionado which makes him the perfect guest to talk about this action film from 1988. Especially when you couple his passion for action with his profession which is a lawyer (the profession Peter Weller is portraying in the film.) Together Mike and Dirk discuss the law and every awesome scene in this fantastic film.

The film Chok Dee tells the story of a real kick boxer from France (Dida Diafat) who rose to world champion at the age of 21. The film focusses on his discovery of the art form and  his move to Thailand to study.

Our guest for this episode is Elijah Taylor. Elijah is the co-host of The Kicking And Screaming Podcast with Vanessa Guerrero.  A podcast where they pair martial arts films with horror films. What makes Elijah such a perfect guest for this episode isn't just his passion for fighting onscreen. Elijah was a professional kick boxer for 2 years in Thailand! This episode sheds light on what that experience was like for him.

Dirk and Elijah discuss Chok Dee, Elijah's life in Thailand, and they play a game: JCVD Movie, Erotic Film Title, or Both! Enjoy!
