This past weekend saw SDCC return for its first in person event in a few years and in terms of trailers, Marvel went big! James, Florey, Tom and Matt share their unsolicited views on all that, as well as the usual chat and opinions about what they have all been watching lately. There’s also some news and teases about upcoming Vice Press releases and events!
Thor: Love and Thunder is out now and we thought what better way to celebrate than with thoughts and opinions that nobody asked for? Be warned, there are spoilers in this episode from the get go, so maybe give Thor: Love and Thunder a watch before you tune in, eh?
It has been a few weeks since the last episode and there is plenty to catch up on. Top Gun: Maverick, Obi Wan and questions from the listeners (or viewers? Who knows). We are also ditching the series format and just going with numbered episodes in the hope that we actually get more regular and release an episode every two weeks! Don't forget, send your questions into open [email protected]
Recorded in front of an audience live at Thought Bubble 2021, Matt and James are joined by artists Raid71, Andrew Swainson and Drew Millward to talk about their latest releases. There's questions from the audience, a powerpoint presentation and the usual chit-chat and too much corduroy.
It’s been a while since the gang have been together and there is a lot to cover in this pre-recorded episode. Doctor Strange, Dune and Batman posters, male body grooming and bingo balls. Don’t forget, email us in with your questions, comments and thoughts to [email protected]
Matt, Florey and Tom are a man down this episode and take to the air without James this episode, who is away on holiday. We know not everyone can tune in to the Open Channel live stream. Some people have actual lives and responsibilities. So we have launched a new mailbox where you can send in your questions, comments, thoughts and criticisms and in this episode we dive into the first batch of those. Assuming we have any. Send in your stuff to [email protected]
Daylight savings time has spun us all for a loop, so for the next few episodes of season 2 we have switched the live stream to 1pm BST. That’s British Summer Time. If, you don’t live in the UK, we are sure you can work it out for yourself! This week sees the debut episode of Marvel’s Moon Knight, so we finally get to see what Oscar Isaac’s accent is all about and talk about that. Matt has a brand new addition to the metal menagerie and Vice Press unleash The Golden Army.
There will be spoilers! You have been warned. There will also be plenty of opinions, that's for certain. If there is one thing we all love, it is a good Batman film, but does R-Patz and Matt Reeves' entry live up to the hype? We will also mention our latest release, Flash Gordon by Paul Mann. Which is still a superhero movie, right?
George Bletsis is back with a new print for Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, Super Bowl unleashed a multiverse of new trailers and we had the season finale of The Book of Boba Fett. What a week it has been! Matt, Florey, James and Tom take on all of this, plus find time to rant about the usual nonsense and news.
Open Channel is back for Season 2! Don’t let the fact we have pre-planned the dates of this series trick you into thinking we are any more organised and less irreverent and chaotic. Join Matt, Florey, Tom and James as they catch up on the new film, tv, toy and poster releases of the past few months. There will also probably be Transformers chat. And Ghostbusters.
