Topic: Let's Be An Optimist Instead Of Complaining And Grumbling.

We may choose to be optimistic, especially as we recall the wonderful promises of Scripture such as Lamentations 3:21–23: “Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassion never fails. They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.

This definition from bible also gives a lot more on being optimistic. John 1:5, which says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” On the cross, Jesus' goodness defeated evil. This is optimism.

So, we are already winners, conquerors and overcomers in this world.

The person who is always finding fault seldom finds anything in life. So we need to live life as an exclamation and not an explanation and justifying complaints.

We all know children are born optimist and are more optimist They laugh more than 100 times a day, adults less than a day.

The more we complain on situations in life and blaming someone the less we obtain in life. How many complainers and blame gamers we have seen in work place, in the society, in the church, in the home...? We know the wheel that squeaks the loudest often gets replaced. Sometimes we are like restless cascading waves in the sea. If we are busy complaining on someone, it is sure that love is replaced with hatred.

Misery wants our company desperately but we don't have to join in. Let us not complain but use the Word of God which negates the negativity.

When we feel like complaining on situations and on someone for it, let us bring the Word of God and God into the situation. He will give us calmness amidst restlessness. He will bring light which dispels darkness and all negative and demonic attacks. Being the prince of peace, He will bring peace in our turbulent and confused lives....

Topic: Struggles And Obstacles. They Are Not Bad; They Make Us More Stronger And Successful If We Are Steadfast.

Adversities not only changes people; but it also unmasks them.

Struggles, challenges and hard times offer us much more value than any other time in our lives. We cannot grow without struggle. We cannot get STRONGER without resistance.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9:

Apostle Paul says,

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.

We may be knocked down but we get up again and keep moving. That's what Paul shares with us.

Apostle Paul though he faced so much of persecution and obstacles yet he was finally victorious and successful in his mission.

Growth and success does not eliminate obstacles; they create new opportunities to grow. God is always walking with us amidst life's challenges.

Do you know how baby giraffe enters the world? A baby giraffe falls ten feet from its mother's womb and usually lands in its back. Within seconds it rolls over and tucks its legs under its body. From this position it looks at the world for the first time. Then the mother giraffe rudely introduces her offspring to the reality of life. How? By kicking the calf head over heels repeatedly until the calf rises to its feet for the first time.

The calf benefits from this harsh treatment by learning to move quickly around predators. This keeps the calf safe. The harsh treatment initially from the mother taught the baby giraffe the lessons to learn to be safe and alert in the world.

We too need to change the way we view obstacles. In the midst of trials, God wants us to grow steadily and become strong. Trials actually as I said, provide us opportunity to grow and not die. Obstacles can only detour us, but cannot stop us. All obstacles in life reveal what we really believe and who we really are.

Our struggles may be lasting but not everlasting. They are just part of our lives.....

Wealth, possessions, immovable assets Is no doubt a blessing, but without being a blessing to others, it's just a wasted life.

Fruit bearing is true prosperity. Being a blessing to others is true prosperity.

Fruit bearing is not just having wealth, swanky cars and mansions. But to be a blessing to others. That's fruitfulness. We cannot take anything from this transient world.

Being fruitful is not preaching eloquently with motivational speeches. Not praying long eloquent prayers attracting everyone, but missing Christ in the prayers.

Many may preach but can still be dry, barren, withered and fruitless. Many may spend much time in the activities of church, but yet can be dry, barren and withered and fruitless..

People who are attracted towards you not because of your wealth, not because of your possessions, not because of your geographical location, but because of your life and my life - that's fruit bearing life.

Our day to day life must be a blessing to our own families, our our church, our neighbours and everyone we come across. That's true prosperity and true fruit bearing and fruitfulness. Otherwise, we have wasted our time. And wasting our time.

We must not run away from what we are called for ... We will never prosper and be fruitful, if we go by our instincts and our own desires and still keep doing God's work. I would reiterate and emphasis saying, wealth is not prosperity, geographical location where it's pollution free is not prosperity, even there people die of various diseases, but being a blessing to others is true prosperity and fruitfulness.......

Topic: Stress!! As A Christian How Can We Handle Stress? Stressful Events Are Facts Of Life.

We may not be able co Change our current situation. But we need to analyse and identify what causes us stress.

Without salt there cannot be any cooking. If the salt is more, then whatever is cooked, is of no use but to be thrown away. Even stress is like that. If it is to a certain limit, it's ok. But it's more or high, then it leads to several problems in health like Hyper tension, blood pressure, diabetic, ulcers, skin diseases, asthma, obesity, frequently having headache, sleeplessness, depression and anxiety, falling health, heart diseases.

Adrenaline increases our heart rate, elevates blood pressure, muscle tension and pain.

Those who were neglected or abused as children tend to be particularly vulnerable to stress. Rebellious children, disobedient and disrespectful to parents, brings enormous stress and stress related ailments to parents.

For some, stress due to love failure. Constant friction between husband and wife and abuse. Business Loss, financial loss, unpaid bills, failure in exams, unemployment, list goes on...

Aprox. 70% of Americans who regularly experience physical or psychological symptoms are caused by stress, as explained by the American Institute of Stress. The top physical symptom reported was fatigue, and the top psychological symptom was irritability or anger.

Is there any remedy?

Daily excercise, proper healthy diet, fun, laughter, happiness are few which can mitigate stress.

Apart from that, It's much easier for Christians to overcome stress by developing a relationship with the Lord Almighty.

Because we have the lord God who not only died, but He is the only one who is Immortal and Invisible God who has conquered death by His resurrection.

When we build strong relationship and trust in Him, we can enjoy life on this earth. We shall overcome in Christ all situations in life.

Let us trust believe and claim this promise from

Prov. 3 : 5-6.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy path.

Forgiving someone is the most difficult thing to do especially when our self, ego and pride are active in our lives.

Yesterday we heard the danger of having an unforgiving spirit..Today we will hear the power and blessings of forgiving others.

"Forgive others not because they deserve forgiveness but you deserve peace." Anonymous.

Matthew 6:14:

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

We ought to understand "Forgiveness only comes out of a merciful and loving heart."

Research has found that by forgiving someone without holding any grudge it can lead to better -

Mental, Emotional and Physical health.

Godly fruit and divine gifts are nurtured in the soil of forgiveness.

Forgiveness brings mercy into our lives.

It brings peace into our lives without any guilt.

It attracts several blessings which we cannot understand nor comprehend.

Forgiveness restores broken relationship (Gen. 50:17) and returns back the joy and peace.

Topic: Unforgiving Spirit Is Poisonous. Having A Grudge, An offense Or Hatred Towards Someone Is Like Digging Our Own Fall ....

One of the most dangerous thing as a child of God is not the sins that we do, but few 'sins of omission'. One of such sins is unforgiving spirit. When we do not tame it, it grows stronger and stronger and hatred or the grudge will finally ruin our peace, our mental life. And will destroy our joy and keeps a full stop to our spiritual growth. And gradual decay or decline in our physical and mental health takes place. The appetite for growing in the lord will no longer be there though we might be doing many Christian activities. But it will bear no fruit.

An unforgiving spirit not only fails to solve anything, but it acts like a poison on our souls. It brings great harm to ourselves.

This hatred and unforgiving spirit can be on anyone, be it in the office, or in your own family or could be in the church. The moment you see someone you are offended. Then simultaneously a sort of hatred takes place. The common phrase on the outer... , "Praise the Lord" but inside you never want them to succeed.

Who is the greatest person on earth? He is not the one who gives best sermons, not the one who prays good, not the one who religously does Christian activities, but the one who has a forgiving spirit without any malice, hatred and grudge in his or her heart.

Millions of families suffer without peace because 'love of Christ' is missing and unforgiveness and hatred is increasing thereby wreaking the peace in the families.

Thousands of churches have become fruitless and dry without real growth in Christ because of lack of love and unforgiving spirit among the Body of Christ, though busy with activities.

Word of God Says in Eph 4;32: Be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another even God for Christ sake has forgiven you.

Forgiveness is not a feeling nor an emotion. It's purely the act of our will. Forgiveness is Christlike nature.

Forgiveness allows God's blessings and the power of Joy and Peace. And His blessings are released which have been blocked by unforgiveness for long time. Forgiveness will halt other sins of grudge, revenge, envy and bitterness as the power of God is manifested within us

Help us to forgive the trespasses of others so that you will forgive our trespasses and give us peace and power within.

Every christian's privilege is to enjoy unbroken assurance while living close to Christ. God wants us to trust Him fully just as fully in the shadow as in the sunshine. For the Word says in Prov. 3: 5 & 6. .... Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path. The point here we need to understand that when we are close to Christ our trust level increases and brightens in the darkness. There is Grace enough in Christ to give light and joy in the darkest experience provided we do not drift away from the Master.

Yet, it is just as true that many of God's noblest saints , in all ages had seasons of depression when they lost the joy of salvation. And could not speak triumphantly of their hope. It is true also that there have been devoted followers of Christ who never in their life could get farther than to hope they were Christ's disciples. Is this the best the love of God and grace of Christ can do for those who are saved?

Its only when we are closer to the Lord we can face adversities of life and have the blessings of assurance to run our life smoothly to the shore.

Track Your Progress and Reward Yourself Accordingly.

Our society tends to associate self-discipline with athletes, celebrities, business owners, sports persons.... This is because they achieve a level of success that typically cannot be reached without a high level of self-discipline

Few right examples are Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Lionel Messi and Indian 18 year old chess wizard, ....

In the Bible too, few faithful who worked with self discipline along with Apostle Paul, are Barnabas, Timothy, Lydia, Aquila & Priscilla and

Philomen..

When we give our lives to God, His Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us, and we receive divine power and help from above to do things that we couldn’t do otherwise. That includes self-discipline.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:12-14

In fact, in Galatians we are provided with a list of fruits that we will begin to exhibit as Christians, as we grow in our relationship with God, including self control:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Galatians 5:22-23

We have everything we need to live our Christian lives and be successful at it. But, we must learn God’s Word to get the knowledge, and to even know what areas he has called us to be disciplined in.

But in all these things if we desire to gain high success, prosperity, good name in the society and be victorious from attractive temptations, we must have consistency in following all these physical and spiritual disciplines. A self disciplines person has all these.

Help us to spend our times consistently in meditating your Word for daily guidance and have daily consistent prayers and Fellowship with good and godly persons .... In Jesus .....
