Purpose of Devil: The Bible teaches us that the Devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. From the early pages of Genesis to the final chapters of Revelation, he is attempting to take good things created by God and either steal them i.e snatching people from God, kill them, enticing humans toward self-harm, or destroy them -; destroying families, friends and churches through increase slander and persecution. This is because of lack of love, care and concern which means "love based works are less and busy in throtlling each other and destroying themselves.

Whatever may be our situation, He will give us abundance of love, abundance of life, abundance of healing, deliverance and restoration, provided we are trustworthy, loyal and loving the Lord sincerely. No shortcuts...

We must not waste time against petty strifes and hatred and vengeance. This is devilish and its steals our peace, joy and happiness.

Everyone faces some inherent problems which needs dealt to be dealt carefully. Words of God's wisdom, God's love, God's grace and God's care and concern is the need of the hour of everyone who has that hunger to grow, to build, to reck the ploys of the defeated foe.

God is going to lift all of us up like a palm tree amidst all attacks. He will heal us, deliver us, gives us peace, strength and restoration.

Help us Lord to lean upon you and your divine Word of God. Help us to meditate and enjoy it everytime when we go through thy Word.

Lord give us the words of love, kindness, care in building each friend in a school or college, each friend with our neighbours or employment and each one in our home. In....

Spend less time worrying about who's right and take charge of deciding what's right in your life. Don't let someone else choose it for you. Any act of disobedience or displeasing the Lord lengthens the distance between us and our dreams and vision. We need to understand as Christians, in addition to our hard work our dreams and goals are accomplished by sustained prayer and right timely action.

There was a businessnan who had a personalized letterhead that read, Right is right even if everyone is against it, and wrong is wrong even if everyone is for it. James 1: 12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Spend less time about who is right and take charge of deciding what is right and keep doing the right. Successful people understand that no one makes it to the top in a single right attempt in doing right. He or she needs to repeat the right consistently no matter how tough the climb is.

Let us recall the famous words of John Wesley:

Do all the good you can,

In all the ways you can,

In all the places you can,

To all the people you can,

As long as ever you can.

We must understand that we cannot draw anything out of the bank of our life unless we deposit in it.

God wants all of His children to be “spiritual leaders.” You may not think of yourself as a leader, but in Mark 16:15, God has commissioned all of us who are called as His children to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

There are different ways of “preaching” and “witnessing,” but the strongest and most effective way of sharing our faith as a leader is to “lead by example!”

Our daily actions will go further to influence others than anything else!

When we react to hostile situations with humility instead of angry words, people notice! But, we fail sometimes and some, fail oftentimes. 😨

It's upto an individual to judge where we stand.

When we act in kindness instead of indifference, people notice! And when we are honest, people notice! When we are manipulative and cunning, people notice and observe us from distance. The world watches our lives more than our works.

Some only know the way. There are Some who know the way and show the way. There are few who know, show and go the way. Such people or such leaders bring great blessings. These are very successful because such leaders influence others through their lives.

The Bible says in 1 Timothy 4:12, “Be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

Parents are leaders in the family. Teachers are leaders in the school. A good parent or a good teacher is, they not only teach, instruct, but they live and follow what they teach.

Unless we have Christ living within us, we can’t lead anyone . . . anywhere! Our example can either lead people “to” Christ or “away” from Him, so it’s critically important that our every action is guided by the Holy Spirit! Yes, God has chosen us for leadership;

Activities are not important but our positive influence to build them is more important.

We are more blessed, and we draw more close to the Omnipotent God...

Only God can bring treasure through the darkest times. Wealth and riches, status, power cannot bring any relief against sudden storms of life that buffet us, but only the risen Christ, If He is the Lord of our lives.

Proverbs 23:18. Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.

There are times in this life, agonizingly painful times, when it can seem that all hope is lost.

But, Many times we want to shine, without the pain and uncertainty of what the hard stuff brings.

We long to reflect beauty without the glaring weakness of deep cracks that line our stories and fill us with holes. We want to cover what was broken and scarred, masking the struggles of a past that took us down difficult pathways. And yet, embracing the beauty of the broken is what enables us to live free.

Evangeline is such young, sweet and faithful woman who has Christ as her Saviour and her Lord.

She lost her 5 year old only daughter suddenly through a mysterious disease.

Though she was heart broken, yet she kept praising the Lord as usual. The joy she exhibited baffled the carnal world who had no clue.

In addition, inspite of gentle love and patience she showed towards her husband, yet, she has to face in her day to day life with her husband’s addiction, recovery and relapse, and his rebellion. And then, one day, she found her husband too dead.

She was crestfallen at that moment. But, she rose from the pit of despair to rejoice and praise the Lord. That's exactly true and genuine transformation. That exactly shows she is indeed a new creation and experienced and tasted His tender love and His mercies.

Like Job’s friends in the Bible, sometimes we’re speechless at the pain of another. “Then Job's friends sat on the ground with him for seven days and nights,” "No one said a word to Job, for they saw that his suffering was too great for words” (Job 2:13). Silently giving the gift of prayer and presence is beautiful.

God, however, is not silent nor unaffected by our suffering. He entered into all of the suffering of humanity for all time, willingly through the sacrifice of Jesus. The suffering of the cross of Jesus makes it possible for us to say with the writer of Proverbs, “Surely there is a future and your hope will not be cut off” (Proverbs 23:18).

Here is our lifeline and bedrock, even in the darkest night of the soul. “Because of God’s tender mercy,” Scripture says, “the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace”

Matthew 05: 8: Blessed are the pure in Heart for they shall see God. This is one of the beatitudes spoken by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. Opposite meaning of beatitude is misery, means being afflicted.

In 1Tim. 06:16 says ' no one can see God at anytime. But Jesus says the pure of heart shall see God. To be pure of heart what Jesus means is to be free of all self seeking desires. How many times we have performed an act perfectly free from any personal gain? Such an act is what Jesus says is a pure act.

Yes! The message of Jesus - Sermon on the Mount is of the transformation of the inner person & not the outward. What a nice reward!!??

All these attributes are produced from within-the heart. The heart makes the life. Inner fashions the outer. The transfiguration of Christ comes from within.

Bodily health is beautiful. Mental health & vigour too is beautiful, but the purity of heart is the glory of all loveliness. I.e Gentleness, meekness, kindness, goodness, purity, long-suffering, patience, temperance are all the qualities which we can emulate from within to reflect Christ.

Anger, jealousy, envy, hatred, not digesting success of others has to be rooted out.

We need to understand that good name and fruit of the spirit is an investment for the present as well as it rewards us in future, i.e eternal life.

Zig Ziglar, an American author and a motivational speaker, once said, “Your attitude, and not your aptitude, will determine your altitude,” which throws light on the importance of having the right attitude towards life. 

 

A familiar proverb since early 1800th century says, "Where there is a will, there is a way."

It is true that if we have the necessary skills but lack the positive attitude in life, we will not go far. 

 

Attitude refers to our thinking and our outlook towards life. Some people are pessimistic and when they fail at tasks, they lose hope and give up, whereas others are optimistic, and even when there are obstacles and challenges in life, they do not give up easily. 

 

To succeed in life, we need to be determined to reach our goals, despite the setbacks we may face along the way.

–Psalm 32:8:

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.”

Doing God's Will Builds Up True Character. I'm not talking of people on the drop of a hat say, "God spoke to them" for their own benefits or for their own convenience. “He who sows wickedness reaps trouble." (Proverbs 22:8).

Tragically, many people spend their lives trapped in an endless cycle of bad choices – and bad choices always have bad results. The Bible is right: “A man reaps what he sows” (Galatians 6:7). It also warns, “He who sows wickedness reaps trouble” (Proverbs 22:8). Even Christians are not immune from making wrong choices.

The journey God has set before us is not a freeway; we are constantly encountering forks and junctions and crossroads. Which way will we go when we meet them? Life is filled with decisions, and we can’t avoid them. But others are major and can literally change our lives.

But pursuing God's will truly and doing it will build up in us that which shall never need to be torn down. "He that doeth the will of God abideth forever.

Every obedience of our lives adds a new touch of beauty on our soul. Every true thing we do in Christ's name though it leaves no mark anywhere else in God's universe leaves an imperishable mark on our own life.

Every deed of kindness or unselfishness we perform with love in our hearts for Christ leaves it benediction on ourselves. We are therefore, of getting a blessing in our own when we are obedient to His Word....

Be blessed as you listen to this Victorious and joyful devotion.

Topic: The Blessing Of Overcoming Temptation And Trial.

Bible does not say, "Blessed are those who do not have any temptation." But it says in James 1 :12... "Blessed are those who endure temptation." It simply means, we need to face the temptations and overcome them.

Further Bible does not say, "You will not have storms or afflictions." It says in Ps 34 : 19... "Many are the afflictions of the righteous."

The way we act or the way we react to these storms and adversities in life and temptations shows what we really are, and paves the path for higher glory or shame.

We sometimes wish there were no temptation, no sore trial in life, nothing to make it hard to be good, to be true, to be noble, to be pure. But did we ever think that these great qualities can never be gotten or never be possessed easily, without struggle, without self denial, without resistance, without toil.

A renowned evangelist, Katherine Kuhlman said, "Nothing comes easy in life."

Every promised land in life lies behind a deep turbulent river, which must be crossed before the beautiful land can be entered. Not to be able to cross the stream is not to enter the blessed land. Heavenly Kingdom!

If we endure temptation and trials we face, we shall find within the gate of new heaven. And we shall receive the crown of life which is promised.

Lord, help us to examine where we fall again and again and come short of your divine blessings and growth. And enable us to rise from that stinking pit to the glorious life having the fragrance of Christ's presence...

Topic: Character! Not Money Nor Wealth, Not Fame, Not Education That Lasts But Only Character Will. It Gives True Fruit, Joy, Success and Satisfaction.

Romans 5:4:

And endurance produces character, and character produces hope.

We must strive to realise every dream of goodness that our heart dreams. We ought to remember that it is the character that is the only test, and the only true fruit, of living.

It is not knowledge; for knowledge will fail;

It's not money and wealth, for money and wealth cannot be carried away from the earth.

It's not fame; for fame's laurels fade away at the grave's edge, and it's voice gives no cheer in the valley of shadows.

It's not the culture nor education that will carry us through; but it's the values that we hold people watch and hold us in high esteem.

There were five highly educated people who were shortlisted for final interview for one reputed administrative position in the government.

It was evening at 6.0 pm. They were made to wait for two hours. It was a vast corridor. They were sitting at the right side of the corridor. Around 7.00 pm lights were switched On.

In the centre of the corridor there were no lights where no one was there. But on the extreme left side many lights were switched ON and fans were in full speed where no one was there.

One candidate observes that though no one is there, lights and fans were simply burning out the current and the energy. He walks past the entire corridor and reaches to that left side and switches off the entire lights and fans there and comes back and sits in his seat.

During his interview one officer asked him what made him to switch off those lights and fans which were ON? The candidate replied, "His father used to scold him to switch off the light and fan whenever he goes away from the room to save the power bill." I sometimes used to murmur.

My father used to say, "Small things in life matter." I was reminded of his advise.

Immediately he was selected for the prestigious post. If we do small things honestly which no one watches, one day these values we inherit in our lives will take us to the pinnacle of success, glory and true blessings.

Shortcuts to instant success by evil and wrong means - such pleasure will be for a short period only. Repercussions follow.

Especially, young people, you may be in teens or twenties or even thirties, heed to the instructions of your parents who advise you and reprimand you for your good, and when you heed, you will surely blossom and flourish like green olive tree.

Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding us that neither riches nor wealth nor fame lasts for long but a good name and good character will. Help us to follow these godly humane traits in our lives....

Topic: Easy To Correct Others But Difficult To Take Correction.

He Who Hates Reproof Is Stupid. - Prov. 12:01.

Im sure you all have been praying for all those bereaved families who lost their precious loved ones in the train accident in Odisha. Let's take a moment to uphold all of these families who are yet to come out of this unforgettable shock. Thanks for praying with me.

Coming back to the topic, very many people are glad to correct others, and think it very strange that they will not take the correction or criticism patiently. They like to correct others, but when it comes to take correction, they are uncomfortable and quickly resent it.

Leave alone correction there are many in this world who feel inferior and proud to take suggestions. There was a king who humbly took the suggestion of his watchman and saved his kingdom. The world feels inferior to take even suggestions then the question of correction is out of their mind.

Let us seek grace to take gracefully the correction and thank them for doing it. It's difficult but not impossible if we seek God's grace to help us.

If a well wisher tell us of a fault, let us not get upset and angry even if he does it awkwardly so as to give us pain. Let us thank him or her to set about to cure the fault.

Event from the lips of an enemy in anger we may yet get lessons it will do us good to learn.

How easy for us Lord to correct others but difficult to take correction when it comes to us? Give us your grace to take correction which might make us even more successful and blessed by taking corrective steps instead of getting upset....
