Topic: Who Is A Righteous Person Based On God's Divine Word?

Yesterday I had been sharing about the blessings of a righteous person and how a righteous person bears fruit even in his old age.

Let me make it very clear and simple. Those who go to church regularly and worship, do whatever work that is entrusted to them, I mean being active in the church activities, offer tithing regularly, do good works and being God fearing, and live morally right - these are all good and fine. *But all these does not make him or entitle him or her to be righteous.*

One of my "friend in Christ" shared yesterday a simple definition based on the Word of God which says, "A righteous person is not a morally correct and god fearing person. Many people come under this category.

A righteous person is the one who is washed in the blood of Jesus Christ only. Because only Jesus blood can make us righteous.

Otherwise all our righteousness is like filthy rags before God.

I.e to be more clear, being born again ( Believing, Repenting and being washed in his blood and Receiving Christ within our lives, Believe, Repent, Receive) is the only qualification to become a righteous person."

“Righteousness” is a big word in the Bible. It’s used hundreds of times. For example, the Bible says that God loves righteousness and that God is righteous. It says that one day God is going to judge the world in righteousness. Psalm 23 says that God leads us in the paths of righteousness.

But what in the world does this word “righteousness” really mean?

It boils down to two things: Righteousness is a relationship after you have given your life to Christ.

And secondly how we live our life thereafter.

Righteousness simply means being right with God, being in constant relationship with God in obedience to His Word and live a witnessing life.

A righteous person will walk in the spirit and will not carry out the desires of the flesh anymore.

There are ofcourse many who are once washed in the blood of Christ, repented of their sins and received Christ within, but in the due course, fallen to the fleshly and worldly desires of the world. Such need to make a 'U' turn repent and comeback to live a holy and acceptable life in the sight of the Lord.

Romans 1: 16 & 17 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for in it, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith."

The Bible says in 1 John 2:29, “All who practice righteousness are God’s true children.”

So why should you care about being in right relationship with God? Because it’s the only way to live, and it’s the only way to heaven.

When you are disconnected from God, you’re not really living; you’re just existing. Most people in the world aren’t really fully alive. They just exist, trying to make it to the weekend. But to be disconnected from your Creator who made you for a purpose makes life meaningless and empty.

Life is not about the acquisition of things or just the achievement of goals. Life is about getting to know God more and more and what He did for you & me. —the one who loves us and made us for a purpose.

Righteousness is also the way you get to heaven. God created heaven as a place for his children whom he loves, and he wants you to be with him forever. He wants you to be in heaven, but he’s not going to force you to go to heaven. You can choose to be disconnected from God here on Earth, but when your life on Earth is done, you will not be given a second chance to choose where you spend eternity.

God gives you the choice right now and opportunity to have a relationship with him. He wants you to choose to love him and be his child to give you the power to live! Join 1:12.

Your sin separates you from God, and there’s nothing you can do to make things right. So you need someone to save you from you

Topic : Do Righteous Gain Anything At All?? The Blessings Of A Righteous Person!

Ps 92: 12 & 13. The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree. He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of God. They shall bear fruit in old age. They shall be fresh and flourishing.

Yes, righteous gain several blessings here on earth as well they inherit the joyful and everlasting life in heaven.

Who is called righteous??

Righteous means, to be right in a moral way, to live a good life and love and obey God's Word diligently.

If you are rich and wealthy, popular, powerful, influential and righteous too, that's a big added blessing! That adds several blessings to the existing blessings.. Amen!

But, if we If we are rich and wealthy, popular, powerful, influential and not righteous and God fearing , we will not inherit the blessings of a righteous person and our weakness will emerge. Old age ailments will bring added sorrow and our entire lives will be barren, fruitless, peaceless in the years to come..

Now, let us see the rich blessings of righteous people.

Ps 92: 12 & 13. The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree. He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of God. They shall bear fruit in old age. They shall be fresh and flourishing.

Ps 91: 10 & 11. No disaster can overtake you; no plague can come near your dwelling; for the Lord shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.

When we are righteous, fear God and look upto Him, we have blessings as per these promises;

Ps 121 :5 to 8. The Lord is your keeper. The Lord is your shade at your right hand.

The sun shall not strike you by day nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall protect you from all harm and evil. He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall protect upur going out and coming in; from this time forth and forever more.

I am with you; And will watch over you wherever you go. Amen! Gen. 28:15.

Ps 37: 25:

I was once young, indeed I am now old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread.

Topic: Angry Person Has Several Setbacks. It Severely Dents The Relationship With The Victim As Well As With God Too.

Blessings & anger do not go together. Anger is one of the deadliest sins which often leads to self destruction than allowing the purpose & plan of God in our lives.

Anger severely dents the relationship with the victim as well as with God too!

Prov. 20:03. It is honorable for a man to avoid strife; but every person is quick to start a quarrel.

Eg. Moses after serving & leading Israelites towards promise land for so many years, but in a fit of rage & anger struck the rock instead of speaking. Result? Did not enter Promise Land.

Consequences of persons frequently getting angry or loosing self control:

# An angry person or the one who does not have self control ( he/she) creates often friction & makes an atmosphere of hell & unpleasant atmosphere in the Family and everywhere - 24×7×365 days.🤤

# It severely dents the relationship with the victim as well as with God too.

# Frequently being angry, gives a different personality altogether where people dread to build relationship with him/her.

# Even high profile Organisations how competent he or she may be, they overlook such people to avoid unpleasantness.

# By being angry often, we tend to loose many things. Bright future is blocked. 🤤Sweet long relationships are severed...😥, health being spoiled. Prov. 17: 22. Broken spirit drieth the bones.

Consistent reading of God's Word - filling our lives with the Word of God, esp. book of proverbs & steady regular prayers gives us the control over anger.

Topic: Opportunities And Procastination. Procastination Is The Grave In Which Opportunity Is Buried.

Ephesians 5:15-17 "So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do."

Run after opportunities and do not shake hands with procastination.

Some people who go far in life is because they seize opportunity and shut the door of procrastination. But many do not move forward in life because they side step, I mean they do not push themselves when opportunity is there and shake hands with procrastination.

If we face big problems; .... These are always there for everyone. Those who make the most of the opportunities make their dreams a reality.

Two things bother most of the people in this world. They rob people of their peace of mind.

1. Unfinished Work.

2. Work not yet begun.

On the new year day everyone have equal opportunity of 365 days in their hand to work at. All of them make renewed and challenging resolutions and they write it down. Unfortunately for many work does not even start as it remains inactive on the paper itself.

Even in our Christian walk God has given us 365 days and several opportunities. But we do not use them. Deborah the prophetess took the opportunity to fight when Barak the king refused to go and fight the enemy. He lost the opportunity. We need to not only work hard in our profession or young people study hard in their studies, but day by day, year by year we need to diligently grow in His wisdom, in His fear and be blessed to be a greater blessing like Joseph, Daniel, Deborah and Ruth..

Topic : "Remember To Take Care Of Yourself. Sometimes You Get So Busy Taking Care Of Others, You Forget That You Are Important Too!" - Joyce Meyer. . "We Cannot Pour From An Empty Cup."

Unless we are blessed, we cannot be a blessing to others.

Our cup of life can be empty, when we keep doing our way; when we keep deciding our way, and not seeking His divine will instead.

We all grown up in this world with full of strife and turmoil, arguing and bickering with no peace at till we met the "Prince of Peace."

If you are a Christian, when I say Christian, I mean being a 'born again' christian, then our cup can never be empty. But, we need to strive towards the fruit of the spirit so that the World knows that we bear fruit and be a great blessing...

As I shared already, to be truly a blessing, we certainly cannot serve from an empty cup without the overflowing blessings of God's presence in our lives. These blessings had to be visible to others at all times - His blessings of provision, His protection, His Power, His grace and His mercies in our lives.

Even if we work hard and have busy right schedules, our life can be empty, if, we are filled with selfishness, lust, wrath, anger, evil speaking, hatred, putting down others, not able to digest success of others, losing patience as often like a little child who falters and falls.

But, our cup can never be empty when our lives are truly rooted with His divine Word in agape love, self control, gentleness, meekness, kindness, goodness, long-suffering, patience, temperance, and praying for those who hate and malign us, loving people who persecute us...

Whoever it might be, take care of yourself first that your life is blessed and filled with His rich blessings in your own personal life.

As we cannot pour anything from an empty cup. So, it's primarily important that we be strong and ensure our cup is not empty but always filled and overflowing with divine God's blessings so that it flows easily from us.

One way of filling it up is - by being a role model as a father, mother, husband, wife, brother, sister, pastor, leader, evangelist, not to mention disciple of Christ. The world knows whether we are fruitful or not.

We need to not only invest in meditating the Word of God, but enjoy it to apply it in our lives.....

Topic: Be A Decision Maker! Decision Determines Destiny. Indecision Will Paralyze The Flow Of Your Faith And Life. Right Decisions... Wrong Decisions...

The average person does not know what to do with this life. The most unhappy people are those who can never make a decision on their own. If anyone waits too long without making a decision someone else will make it for him or her. You can never grow letting others make decision for you. Indecisive people are like a blind looking in a dark room searching for something which is not there. Means he is not a stable - vision oriented person.

James 1 : 8 says, "a double minded man is unstable in all his ways." We can see around us people who are not just double minded but trible and quadruple minded without taking decisions in their life. It's not the difference between the people that's the difficulty, it's the indifference. So many people we see spend their lives disappointed and a failure in their lives.

Have you made the greatest decision in your life?

Confess. Believe. And Receive.

Even in our Christian life salvation is not an illusion nor an assumption. Many we are around have no clear assurance. That's why they live a defeated and joyless and despondent life.

What is the use of manuring without sowing a seed?

It has to be a clear decision . That you not only confess and repent of your sins and believe that Jesus is Christ, Son of the living God who died and rose again, but Receive Him as the Lord and Saviour. Then He will guide you and lead you to take decisions and that too right decisions which lead to success, joy and prosperity.

Let us read this verse. John 1 :12.. .

Topic: Life In Christ! Life In Christ Is Not How To Make A Living But How To Live. Is Some Goliath, Like - Shame, Guilt, Doubt, Fear.... Not Allowing You To Stand Up Tall?

Jesus never taught us how to make a living on our own. But He taught us how to live? God does not call us to be successful. But He calls us to be faithful.

Matt. 6: 33. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Is something stopping you from standing up tall? - shame guilt, doubt, fear..? We need to come out of that - under that chain. It's self imprisonment. We need to move forward and be free from self imposed self imprisonment of doubts, guilt and fears. We must understand God's Mercy is much bigger than our mistakes and guilt. The moment we understand, rise and move we begin to blossom. Talents will come out which we never dreamt. Our potential will emerge when we begin to move. We are going to dream big and accomplish His plans for our lives in confidence.

As I said, God has not called us to be successful but to be faithful. Ofcourse, if we are faithful and then God blesses us with success. Then it's true Blessings emerge. But clinging on and craving for worldly success of Power, position, wealth, fame and popularity compromising on godly biblical principles is like a pig given bath, but it goes back in pleasure to its stinking muddy water.

Most people unfortunately have their eye on wrong goals building their ownselves, craving and clinging on to power and position without giving a thought on knowing God's will. Having the same pig mentality.

I know a person in one of the big church. Seeing the situation in the church and sensing there is no chance for him to get into church Pastorate committee he transferred the membership to another church and got into church committee. What a craze?!

If your goal is only for more money, a higher position, or to get more influence for power by hook or by crook means - These are certainly cannot be termed as goals but ungodly carnal desires.

We need to no doubt work hard and make every effort to be successful based on the truth - i.e The Word of God. This also enables us to root out doubts, fears, shame and guilt to live a joyful stress free life.

Topic: Role Model! A Good Role Model Is Much Better Than A Gifted Leader. Who Is A Good Role Model For Indian Cricket? Is It Flamboyant Virat Kohli Or Charismatic Sachin Tendulkar?

Virat Kohli as captain added many aspects to the Indian team, like fearlessness, aggression and a focus on fitness, but at times he pushed beyond the boundaries of etiquette.

If success were only to be considered a criteria, he is an example for any cricketer to follow: Around 100 Test matches he played, scoring nearly 8,000 runs—at an average of over 50—with many more to come. Of these, 68 Tests as captain, with 40 wins making him the fourth most successful skipper in world cricket. However, his bad conduct and unethical behaviour has overshadowed his performance.

The dictionary.com definition for a role model is someone whose behaviour, example or success can be emulated by others, especially by younger people. The Merriam-Webster puts it as a person whose behaviour in a particular role is imitated by others, or can be imitated by others.

Kohli cannot be a role model for his constant outbursts and fights and arguments he picks up time and again.

But he was most often and routinely caught in unsportsmanlike, un-captain-like conduct, while playing a sport known for its gentlemanly etiquettes. Earlier few months back, he vented his anger at an overturned LBW decision—in the final Test against South Africa—by speaking into the stump mic:

Few days back during one of the IPL match he had furious 'on field' confrontation with a fellow cricketer, Naveen Ul Haq, and after the match with another controversial former cricketer - now Member of Lok Sabha, P. Gautam Gambhir. Both were fined 100% of their match fees for the breach of IPL code of conduct, unruly behaviour and for his inappropriate comments that are detrimental to the interests of the game.

On the other hand Tendulkar has performed even greater than Kohli, but he had very powerful etiquette on field and off the field. Even when he was ruled out wrongly he never expressed displeasure nor justified himself in asking arguing with the umpire.

Based on the statistics, Tendulkar is a world famous cricketer. But his mannerism and graceful conduct earned him more respect from the entire cricketing fraternity all over the world. He is among few 'good will ambassadors of sports' Who is a true role model whom young people can look at and emulate his qualities..

Tendulkar life has been a great role model to emulate his life unlike Kohli whose values, beliefs and actions are not worth remembering. No doubt Tendulkar has become a house hold name and is worshipped like a god by the fans in India.

Tendulkar, and from the bible, Joseph and Daniel are respected because of their character who more or less lived a blameless life.

Kohli will be remembered more for his controversies than his performance. Whereas Tendulkar will be remembered not only for his skills and performance but he will be remembered for his conduct and good name he earned.

Similarly even we as Christians, not out works, nor our preaching, nor prayers will draw people to Christ but our day to deeds that will be seen will make a greater impact than our works.

A good name is much better than what spiritual works we do. The world watches our deeds and actions more than our religious activities.

The best few examples from the bible are Joseph, Daniel, apostle Paul...

Amidst all the activities we ought to make every effort to live a blameless life in this world which is full of hatred, envy and trying to pull down others who rise.

There are millions in this world who are gifted and brilliantly talented but lose out on their character.

Topic: Fear Has Two Meanings. "Forget Everything And Run Or Face Everything And Rise." The Choice Is Ours.

We see many are self imprisoned in the "Prison of Fear."

"Extreme fear can neither fight nor fly." - William Shakespeare.

"Fear is nothing but an obstacle that stands in the way of progress."

Fear does not exist anywhere except in the mind." - Dale Carnegie.

"Fear is a dark room where negatives develop." - Anonymous.

Fear has two meanings. "Forget everything and run Or face everything and rise." The choice is ours.

Many people live in a prison that has no bars, locks, or guards, because they are held captive by the prison of fear! Simply they themselves are chained to self imprisonment. It keeps them locked up, afraid of their own shadow. The list of things people are afraid of is endless:

We go often from feasting to mourning, from celebrating life to processing death. We are self imprisoned by fear because of various problems - financially, physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually.

There are even those who live in fear of what others think of them, never wanting to speak up or be noticed for fear of embarrassment. But it is not God’s plan that we live in fear! Let us therefore declare with our mouth what divine Word of God says:

Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” With Jesus by our side we have no reason to fear!

In Psalm 27:1, It promises “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Psalm 34:7: The Angel of the lord encamps all around those who fear Him.

Topic : Love, Bless, Respect, Edify, ... One Another. "If We Have No Peace Against Each Other, We Have Forgotten That We Belong To Each Other." - Mother Teresa

What we sow we reap. When you are praying for others, others will be praying for you. Key Word for devotion Is "One Another."

The New Testament uses the phrase “one another” 58 times. The Bible says Christians are to love one another, help one another, serve one another, bear one another’s burdens, and so on. Whether we believe it or not, it pays back with rich dividends. Let us not hold back like how monkeys hold back the nuts even when they are caught....

It is important to know what it means to support one another. Being kind to one another and to love one another.

"Our lives will last as long as God has something for us to do." - Max Anders

"If we have no peace, we have forgotten that we belong to each other." - Mother Teresa

We weren't meant to carry the load of life on our own. We need one another. Life can be heavy. People have been through disappointments, failures, betrayal, and some are dealing with illness, and are lonely. They can smile on the outside but be hurting inside. They have pressure and stress we know nothing about.

James tells us to "pray for one another" (James 5:16). When you pray for them, it helps lighten the load. Your prayer causes the angels to be busy in their work. Chains of depression, sickness, financial mess, people are at the cross roads unable to take decisions, and loneliness that have held them back begin to loosen, when we are in touch with one another and when we pray.

When we speak faith into their destiny, the forces of darkness begin to lose their grip. It may not happen overnight, but our prayer is making a difference. Our prayer may be what's keeping them going. They don't even know you're praying, but the Scripture says that what you do in secret, God will reward you in the open. When you pray for others, God will always make sure somebody is praying for you.
