Matt. 08: 05 to 07. centurion comes to Jesus and said "Lord my servant is paralysed & dreadfully tormented."

And Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him." And centurion answered and said "Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed."

The Lord said to the centurion, "Go your way, as you have believed, so let it be done for you." The same moment - split of a second his servant was healed.

Topic: Words Of Jesus Have Life, Healing, Deliverance And Restoration. His Words Are Still Giving Comfort To The Sorrowing Ones; Hope To The Despairing Ones.

Matt. 9 : 6,7 & 8. Jesus said to the paralytic man lying on a bed, "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house. And he arose and departed to his house. Now when the multitude saw it, they marvelled and glorified God.

Words of Christ have words of life. We know how His words comforted sorrow and gave peace to troubled ones.

How His words reached men's hearts and transformed the whole purpose of their lives. We can recall the transformed life of the tax collector, Zachaeus and also how the paralytic man has been healed instantly by His few words. No shouting needed. No jargons needed.

His Words are divine and peace giving. Demons listened trembling when He spoke, and instantly recognised His power and obeyed. They are yet calming tempests and opening blind eyes, and expelling evil spirits, and raising the dead.

These words of Christ which have manifested His majestic miraculous power 2000 years back has the same power even today.....

Then, why when we have the "words of life of Jesus," we are unable to reignite the revival?? Why there is no revival?? It's very simple. We do not obey the life giving words of Christ 100%.

Our obedience is in "bits and pieces" like king Saul..

Everyone needs kind words and encouragement. But always desiring appreciation, praise from people, but same time, unable to take criticism and correction is not true sign . Disciples were criticised, offended and humiliated but yet, they bore the cross and won 1000s to God's kingdom. The day we start "walking the talk," the day our lives become more powerful than our mere preaching brings greatest revival. Let us carry the Cross and not just wearing the cross, and crucify our self centred ego to reignite the great revival.

Topic: Delight! What Is That You And I Delight Every Day In Our Life? In What We Delight And Keep Doing Decides Our Course Of Future.

To “delight,” means as per Webster's Dictionary, is to “take pleasure” or “to give keen enjoyment” or to “give joy or satisfaction to.”

Ps 37: 4. Delight in the law of the Lord; and He will fulfill the desires of your life.

Some people delight in what they see, some in what they hear, some in what they eat, some delight in recreation or amusements.....

And some delight in knowing Jesus and His divine Word. Delight of knowing Jesus personally and in His Word is the best decision anyone can afford to take.

In the recent past I attended Thanksgiving memorial service of one of our family friends, and a relative of ours. He lost his young wife was working holding a good position in the society. I was immensely overjoyed when he shared her beloved wife's testimony. He said, "Anna, all through her life till her last breath she was delighted not only in meditating the Word, but she had the delight to underline all the promises in the Bible." Full of red markings and dates of promises written.

Yes, how wonderful life she lived! Amen!

Yes, When we have Him, we then have all and everything. We need to delight to seek Him, because Word of God says in John 14 :6.

.... "Jesus is the way, the truth and life."

When we delight to walk in His way, we will never falter, when we delight to know the truth, the truth will set ud free from all bondages and anxieties. And most importantly, we have life, life everlasting and life that satisfies everything.

"Who killed Samson"

Is it Delilah or the Philistines?" None of them is correct.

If No, then who killed him??

It's an eye opener to see that often times it's not the devil but our own actions and our own words to which we become slaves destroy us.

Even if there were 10,000 Philistines soldiers, they couldn't have defeated Samson. Do you know why?

Samson's strength was not of this world; it was divine. It was supernatural. It's been a gift from the Almighty God..

As long as no one can defeat GOD, no army could have defeated Samson no matter how strong or how many were there.

The answer is Samson himself.

Yes, Samson killed himself. A man is his greatest enemy.

What an enemy cannot do to a man, he can do to himself.

Samson killed himself. He delivered himself to the lap of Delilah and used his own mouth to tell the secret of his power.

His life promised so much, but delivered so little.

The Bible says in Proverbs chapter 19 verse 3 "The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD."

Topic : Fear Of The Lord! The Hebrew Verb, 'Yare' Can Mean, "To Fear, To Respect, To Reverence. The Greek Noun, Phobos Can Mean "Reverential Fear" Of God, Not A Mere Fear, But Of His Power And Righteous Retribution.

What exactly is "Fear of the Lord" means? Blessings of having "Fear of the Lord" Or to "Fear God."

Fear of the Lord is an attitude of respect, and a response of reverence and wonder.

Straight from God's Word in Ps 8: 13. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil, pride, and arrogance, and the way of evil and perverted speech. Which simply means to hate sin and live in reverence and holiness.

The main Hebrew and Greek words translated fear in the Bible have several shades of meaning, but in the context of the "fear of the Lord," it portrays the same meaning.

The early churches throughout Judea, Samaria and Galilee walked in the "fear of the Lord" and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit - means they walked in holiness, with love, with one accord, in unity, respecting each other, and thus church multiplied rapidly and has been much fruitful. This is the need of the hour in the churches to be healthy and fruitful. This is need of the churches as well as families too, to show reverential fear while doing anything, be it preaching, or prayer, or worship or any activity for that matter. ...

A healthy fear of the Lord is a sign which constantly reminds us the fear of consequences of disobedience. The fear of the Lord help us to become more like God and live His divine qualities.

Word of God further says in Rom 8 28, "ALL things work together for good to them that love God. All things here includes sorrows as well as joy can work together for good. Adversity as well as prosperity; sickness as well as health; trials as well as triumphs. All these things work for good and not just the good things in life.

Most of the Christians when they undergo some unpleasant situations such as sudden job loss, or diagnosis of some sickness/ailment, sudden loss of loved ones, friendship or relationship broken, immediately they come to a conclusion with questions such as as "why Me Lord?" Why it has to happen to me only when we are faithful? When pain, suffering and adversity strikes, how we act and react shows what really we are...

If we think we are faithful and trustworthy, its not enough, but the Lord Himself has to testify that we are indeed trustworthy to carry His name and work..

Moreover, we must know that God never makes mistake.. His ways and thoughts are different from us..

We can understand His ways, sometimes only after we leave this world and be with Him.

Therefore, we are to thank the Lord for pain as well as for pleasure. For good health as well as for sickness.

Topic : Guilt, Loneliness, Fear And Depression. It Saps And Drains Away Our Energy And Affects Our Emotional Life, Physical Life, Social Life And Spiritual Life Too!

Fear steals our joy. It makes us not only lonelier but more fearful. Guilt, Fear, loneliness, depression visits everyone. Everyone goes through it and is part of human emotion. Even great men like Elijah when through fear and depression.

Have you felt lonelier than ever even if your own loved ones are there around? Then we need to ask Jesus to get connected to us. And to enjoy the Lord talking to us through His Word to drive away the loneliness.

Guilt robs our joy. Have you felt past mistakes and sins bothering you? The world might not forgive us. But the Lord forgives our past and enables us to enjoy a clean joyful future. Just we need to truly confess and repent of it. ( 1 John 1 :9.) He will give us guiltless and a clean heart to forget the past and enjoy the future.

Are you going through fear of unknown, fear of uncertainty, fear of sickness?

The more we come closer to the Lord, lesser and lesser will be the fear and depression in our lives.

Dear friend, one of the main ways through which the enemy attacks our mind is by creating fear. The fear can enter our minds without reason. When we do not place the future in the most trusted hands of God, and the enemy Satan will toy with our emotions to create fear about the future. God says, in Isia 41:10 “Do Not Fear, For I Am With You; Do Not Be Dismayed, For I Am Your God. I Will Strengthen You And Help You; I Will Uphold You With My Righteous Right Hand”.

Topic : The Transfiguration Of Christ Comes From Within. It's The Transformation Of The Inner Person.

Philip. 04:08. Finally my brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble , whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, if there is any praiseworthy, meditate on these things.

Matthew 05: 8: Blessed are the pure in Heart for they shall see God. This is one of the beatitudes spoken by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. Opposite meaning of beatitude is misery, means being afflicted.

In 1Tim. 06:16 says ' no one can see God at anytime. But Jesus says the pure of heart shall see God. To be pure of heart what Jesus means is to be free of all self seeking desires. How many times we have performed an act perfectly free from any personal gain? Such an act is what Jesus says is a pure act.

Yes! The message of Jesus - Sermon on the Mount is of the transformation of the inner person & not the outward. What a nice reward!!??

All these attributes are produced from within-the heart. The heart makes the life. Inner fashions the outer. The transfiguration of Christ comes from within.

Bodily health is beautiful. Mental health & vigour too is beautiful, but the purity of heart is the glory of all loveliness. I.e Gentleness, meekness, kindness, goodness, purity, long-suffering, patience, temperance are all the qualities which we can emulate from within to reflect Christ.

Anger, jealousy, envy, hatred, not digesting success of others has to be rooted out.

We need to understand that good name and fruit of the spirit is an investment for the present as well as it rewards us in future, i.e eternal life.

Topic: Death Of Loved Ones! Death Is Not The End Of The Road For His Children, But It's The Bend Of The Road Where There Is No More Pain, No More Suffering, No More Sickness But Everlasting Joy.

Ps. 112:6. Righteous shall be in everlasting rememberance.

Today's devotion is dedicated to the families of loved ones who lost their lives.

No one can escape death. You may be the strongest person like "Alexander the great" who conquered the world who had power, position and fame. You may be one of the richest person like Dhirubhai Ambani. You might be one of the greatest administrators like Abraham Lincoln.

Well, death is a certainty. It's no respector of any person irrespective of rich, poor, strong, healthy and weak. We all have to leave this world one day.

But, for those of us Christians, who have received Christ, we do not have to be scared or worried of death. This is not the end of life. But, it's the begining of new life where there is no pain, no suffering, no humiliations, no more ventilators needed as one God servant put it. But everlasting peace and joy.

Of all fears that plague the heart of a man, none is greater than the fear of death.

Rick Warren, pastor of saddle back church once said, "life is preparation for eternity. We were not made to last forever.. One day my heart is going to stop, and, that will be the end of my body, but, NOT THE END OF ME."

A tribute to the bereaved families:

Softly the leaves of the memory fall;

Gently we gather and treasure them all;

Unseen, unheard, you are always so near, so missed, so loved, so very dear.

Topic : God's Presence: His Presence Is With Us Even During Our Physical Struggles, Spiritual Struggles And Emotional Struggles Too!

God is with us through hard times. His presence is with us during trials, storms of lives and through adversities of life.

We know that God’s abiding comforting presence is always with us. His Word contains several promises of His loving presence. Let us take a moment to meditate on on God’s comfort presence.

Isaiah 41:10 - God presence strengthens us.:

"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

God has promised us His strength. He will never give us a trial which we are unable to handle. As children of God, we can call upon His presence at any time.

Jeremiah 33:6 - God brings healing to us:

Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.

John 14:27 - God provides peace to us:

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Sometimes an unexpected pain or illness may frighten us. Let us accept God’s gift of peace, and let it create a calm spirit within you.

Matthew 11:28-30 - God presence lightens our burdens:

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Many times we feel overwhelmed in our Christian life. God has promised us that we can find strength in Him, and He will provide rest for us.
