Topic : Procastination. It Is The Grave In Which Opportunity Is Buried. It Derails Our Success. "Kill Procrastination, Not Time."

Implicit obedience is the God's method of provision for our lives.

Procrastination is something that many of us struggle with. There’s something in your life you know you need to do, and yet you keep putting it off. That is called procrastination. Procrastination is a spiritual issue too.

Second, it causes problems. Proverbs 15:19 “A lazy person has trouble all through life.

Even more tragic is when someone who has procrastinated about going to the doctor. When they finally do go, they found that the cancer had spread beyond control. The fact is delaying never solves anything. It only makes things worse. The longer you wait, the harder it is. It never gets easier. It always gets harder.

We must not let hesitation and procrastination keep us from our destiny. Resolutions made in the new year remain as resolutions without moving out with action. And sooner we will be at the fag end of the year. Years pass by. Be it reading of God's Word or academic studies, it ought to be done systematically and consistently.

Even if we are on the right track - we'll get run over if we just sit there. - Arthur Goodfrey.

We must tackle any challenge at first sight; the longer you stare at it, the bigger it becomes. The lazier a person is, the more he is going to do tomorrow instead of doing it NOW. Anybody who brags about doing what he is going to do tomorrow will probably end up doing nothing.

Topic : Transient Time In This World. We Must Understand That We Are Just Pilgrims In This World. Having Hope In God Is The Best Thing Amidst Trials And Grief.

Psalm 42 is the psalm written by the "sons of Korah." For some strange reasons God did not record their names. The sons of Korah are not known by their personal names! They are simply called as "sons of Korah." It has a history behind it.

Out of 150 Psalms 10 Psalms are written by "sons of Korah."

Let's meditate on one of the Psalms penned by them.

Here in Psalm Ps 42 : 5, the Psalmist is preaching to his own self. He is calling his own self and teaching an important lesson for us. It says, "Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance."

We as the people of God, and saved by the grace of our Lord must never be downcast or be depressed. The grace that saved us will surely follow us “all the days of our life” (Psalm 23:6).

There may be situations that are too difficult for us to handle, at times it may seem that the Lord has deserted us. Evidently the Psalmist was undergoing such a situation. He is admonishing his own soul to put hope in God. This is what we must all do consistently in spite of our situations and circumstances.

Whatever may be our situations we must continue to trust God and put our hope in Him – because there is nothing better we can do. Nothing can be achieved by losing faith in God. Anything else we can do other than trusting God will only lead us deeper into disaster. Many times the devil will tempt us to give up hope in God but that is the most foolish thing to do.

You may question “how long should I trust in God?” You may ask “How many days should I wait for His help?” It is better We must trust Him all the days of our lives.

Any person who has lost faith in God is equal to a dead person.... For anything else we do such as doubting God and grumbling against God will be judged and condemned before the judgement seat of Christ. But it is highly impossible that God will condemn us for trusting in Him for too long. So let us make a firm resolution to continue to trust in God all the days of our life. This is what we call perseverance.

Topic : In Life Givers Are Always Blessed, Satisfied And More Joyful Than Takers. "The True Measure Of A Person Is How He Or She Treats Someone Who Cannot Pay Back."

Selflessness! Those who are rich in heart will always show more courtesy and respect towards others. And they give cheerfully in all humility.

Mark 12 : 42-44:

And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

And Jesus called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

For all they gave in, has been out of their abundance; but she gave in all that she had, even all her living.

It implies, when we give little out of abundance, it doesn't make any difference. It doesn't bless us.

"How much we are giving is not important, but how we are giving is more important. Attitude!!

Our giving -

Is it to show to others like those rich people have done? To get a name?

Or is it a cheerful and selfless giving like the widow? A candle sheds sheds sheds light and sacrifices itself.

A short familiar story which has a great relevance for today's topic.

A young little boy went to an ice-cream shop and asked the waitress, How much is the ice-cream cup?" She replied, "Seventy five cents." The boy knew he has exactly 75 cents, enough to buy the ice-cream. But, he once again enquires how much a smaller cup of ice-cream costs?" The waitress impatiently replied, "Sixty five cents." Though The boy has 75 cents to purchase bigger cup, he said to the waitress, "Give me the small cup of ice-cream. The boy ate the icecream cheerfully, paid the bill and left.

When the waitress came to pick the empty plate and empty cup, she was touched and moved in tears. Underneath the plate the little boy kept the ten cents as the tip.

In that situation, 98 out of 100 of such peer group boys, will have preferred the bigger icecream cup, enjoyed it and walked away without paying the tips.

To be honest, we also act often times like these remaining 98 boys.

This little boy had consideration for the waitress before he ordered his icecream. He showed a caring heart, a kind-hearted and compassionate heart towards an ordinary waitress.

His giving to the waitress was sincere. His giving has been unconditional and of a pure heart.

In life, givers are always blessed, satisfied and more joyful than takers.

Word of God says in Acts 20 : 35 says

"Remeber the words of the Lord Jesus that He said, "It's blessed to give than to receive."

Topic: Valentine Day & It's Love. Valentine Day Celebrations & It's Love May Often Fail. Friendships Fail, Broken Homes, And Dreams Shattered, But Not Christ's Love. It Never Failed. Its Guarenteed Life Time Valentine With Jesus.

For those of you who do not know.... its not just romance and love on 14th February as "Valentine's day, but a great story of sacrifice of one legend, named Valentine who lived in Rome. It's therefore celebrated in honor of martyr, Saint Valentine.

He was imprisoned during one of the periodic persecutions against Christians and was martyred. He was executed by Roman emperor Claudis II in the third century. Later he was canonized as saint by the church.

While in prison historians say that Valentine tutored a young blind woman who was the daughter of his jailor. The story goes that God restored Julia's sight after the two prayed together. Friendship grew. And on the evening before his execution, Valentine wrote a note to her and signed it with, "From your Valentine."

Today its much commercialized and more romanticized. The real love is missing especially among young people. It's just a feeling but no commitment and seriousness. Its youthful infatuation.

Broken dreams, shattered homes because, it's not true abiding love.

Four forms of love.

1. Eros love. Erotic love which is temporary love.

2. Philia love. Love of friends. It too fails often.

3. Storge Love. Love of parents. When they give up on children it too fails.

4. Agape Love. If we fall in love with Christ and have Him, His love towards us is unconditional, pure and genuine without any strings or conditions attached. Whereas all the remaining three are conditional and give away at certain period of time. But Christ never gives up. It will be a Life Time Valentine and not just a valentine day. We as bridegroom are wedded to Him. When he comes those who embraced Christ and ready, l will be caught up with Him in mid air to be him forever. Its eternal Valentine with Christ.

For His Love Is Pure, Unconditional Agape Love. Never fails.

1 Corin. 13 : 8.

Topic : God's Hand Upholds Us And Srengthens us. He Will Help Us At The Time Of Need. Isaiah 41:10

God is with us through hard times. His presence is with us during trials, storms of lives and through adversities of life.

His presence is with us even during physical struggles, spiritual struggles and emotional struggles too! We know that God’s abiding comforting presence is always with us. His Word contains several promises of His loving presence. Let us take a moment to meditate on on God’s comfort presence.

Isaiah 41:10 - God presence strengthens us.:

"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

God has promised us His strength. He will never give us a trial which we are unable to handle. As children of God, we can call upon His presence at any time.

Jeremiah 33:6 - God brings healing to us:

Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.

John 14:27 - God provides peace to us:

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Sometimes an unexpected pain or illness may frighten us. Let us accept God’s gift of peace, and let it create a calm spirit within you.

Matthew 11:28-30 - God presence lightens our burdens:

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Many times we feel overwhelmed in our Christian life. God has promised us that we can find strength in Him, and He will provide rest for us.

Lead Me To The Rock That Is Higher Than I. - Ps. 61:2.

The most satisfied people in the world are those who don't sit and wait for the opportunities. They create the opportunities. Unless a person takes on more than he possibly can do, he will never do all he can.

Napoleon Bonaparte, French Military Commander and political leader who shot to prominence, in order to motivate his soldiers to take up stiffer challenges said, "impossible - is the word found only in the dictionary of fools." What words are found in our dictionary?

Our vision becomes our potential worth. We, especially young people must learn to be comfortable with great dreams. Unless you try to do something beyond already mastered, you will never grow. A person who expects nothing will never be disappointed. "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller.

Especially we as His children can be motivated by the Word in Gen. 8 14. Is there anything too hard for the Lord? God puts no restriction on your faith; faith puts no restriction on God.

Charles Spurgeon motivated his listeners by saying, "Bretheren, be great believers. Little faith will bring your souls to heaven, but great faith will bring heaven to your souls."

Topic: You Are Precious And Valuable. Never Underestimate Yourself. There Are No Unimportant People In The Sight Of God.

For the Word of God says in :

Psalm 139:14

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Marvellous are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.

Let's remind ourselves . Even a small star shines in the darkness from millions of miles away. The first and the the worst of all frauds is to limit oneself. Use what talents you possess and keep singing and praising. Well, if we are not grateful in singing, the Lord takes the birds singing as praise.

So, let's from henceforth understand we are wonderfully and uniquely made by our Almighty Sovereign God. If we are deliberately planning self defeat to be less than what we are capable of doing, we will be frustrated for the rest of our lives. Every person in this universe knows something you don't know. As I said, no one is unimportant. But unfortunately there are thousands who have hidden talents which others do not have, but they don't take the initiative. They feel inferior. Rise up! When God almighty has created you, you must never be inferior.

What is greatness? What is achievement? Doing what God wants you to do and being where He wants you to be.

As God's own children, we can be one of His few successes and not be one of His thousands of disappointments, if we pursue.

Topic : Why Problems, Challenges And Adversities Of Life Often Look Much Bigger Than Our God? Because We Do Not Draw Nigh To God In Good Times And Keep His Far.

Often times our worries and anxieties, Giant like situations in life, uncertainties in life, sickness and day to day challenges look bigger than our God and Creator??

It's primarily because we do not have a closer walk with Christ. And true foundation Is neither built on Christ nor rooted and grounded in his divine love.

So, oftentimes many Christians too are devasted, defeated and exhausted because of life's challenges and disappointments that choke them and shrink their day to day lives..

That's because God is very very far from them in their relationship with the Him, and in their day to day lives.

Apostle Paul exhorts church of Ephesians in 3 17 & 18. Be rooted and be grounded in His love and walk worthy of your calling.

James 4 8 says, Draw nigh to me and I will draw nigh to you...

Psalmist says in 55:22 “CAST YOUR BURDEN ON THE LORD and He will sustain you. HE WILL NEVER ALLOW THE RIGHTEOUS TO BE MOVED (Means He will never allow us to slip, nor fall nor fail).

More we draw close to Him, we can trust Him more, and then, we can rely upon Him as our friend and true shepherd, as our guide and shield, as our shelter and refuge, and as our rock and as our fortress.

ALL PROBLEMS AND ALL CHALLENGES in life Whittle down before Him and before His presence, as God becomes bigger and bigger when we come closer and closer intimately to Him....

Healing of heart and being "Born Again" is the greatest miracle than cancer or aids...

Prov. 23: 26 & 33. My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my way.

Your eyes will see strange things. And your heart will utter perverse things.

It's really good to be healed from cancer, aids, carona virus, T.B, but the greatest healing in life is the healing of heart and saving of soul from eternal damnation of eternal fire.

I came to know a person who was suffering from last stage of cancer...

...So, I believe, "Healing of heart and being born again" is the greatest miracle in life.

Heart is deceptive and full of evil. Unless we cleanse it and and confess and repent of our iniquities, we all perish.

Kind David knows our human heart is full of wickedness and deceptive. Unholy and impure thoughts. He prays a sincere prayer with a repentant heart, praying, "Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me."

If our heart is good we will do good and edifying works. If not, we will do deceptive works and see evil things of world with our eyes. And thereby bring reproach and shame to ourselves leading us to eternal destruction.

- William Carey.

A Sickly Boy, A Cobbler - God Blessed Him And His Work, And Was Later Popularly Known As "The Father Of Modern Missions." He is none other than William Carey.

1 Sam. 16:7. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

The Lord saw the heart of William Carrey. He was sincere and pure in the sight of God to serve His Master.

When we love God and have desire to serve Him, He will surely fulfil His plans in us. And we too will be blessed like this great man of God.

"When we love anything other than God first, our weakness and regret will emerge." - Ben.

William Carey during his childhood was a sickly boy. But he loved the Lord. He was born in England in 1761. He was born to a humble and poor family. His future did not look bright. But yet he loved the Lord. He had passion to serve the Lord.... Then he was also teaching as a teacher for his livelihood. The cobbler, discovers the joy of joining the Redeemer in quest for souls. He was later shepherding a church and became a full time pastor in the year 1789 of Harvey Lane Baptist Church at Leicester, England. It was thriving under his shepherding. He was led by the Lord to move to India. Because of his obedience, the Lord blessed him and his work in India and he brought incredible social reforms and translated the Bible into several languages. Since he loved God, he loved the people of God in India and has accomplished many things for God.

He was not only an English Christian missionary, but a Baptist minister, translator, social reformer and cultural anthropologist who with the mission was instrumental in establishing the famous Serampore college in 1818 and got the status of University in 1829. He was also known as the "father of modern missions." He translated the Bible into Bengali, Oriya, Assamese, Marathi, Hindi and Sanskrit languages. A foreigner not only learning Indian languages but translating them is indeed praiseworthy and glory to God! He ia also called as a great reformer and illustrious Christian missionary. His passionate insistence also resulted in founding the Baptist Missionary Society.

Here we see today's devotional verse, the Lord rejected all the the seven handsome sons of Jesse. And father did not even bother to call the youngest son, David. After Samuel enquired with the father, he brings him. The rest is history. God chose him to be the king of Israel. Because God saw the heart of David was right in His sight, like William Carey.
