Topic : We Know About Christ, But Do Not Know Christ And Limit His Power Often To Our Faithlessness.

We speak about faith but we don't speak or rather declare faith. We speak about His Power but we don't declare His Power actually, when needed. We know about Christ but not Christ and His love and His Power. I mean, we know about Christ but truly often times in actual testing situations, we act as if we don't know Christ.

In Luke 08: 43 to 48, we see a woman suffering from having a flow of blood for 12 long years. And she has spent ALL her livelihood on physicians going from one doctor to another. Nothing happened but, instead her disease drained her financially, but it took her energy and strength and ruined her social life.

Having heard about Christ and His miracle making power, she made her final and last attempt to "try Jesus." She felt within Christ's divine power can surely heal her. And her faith rose so much so, she declared to herself saying, "I will not touch Christ like how the mob is touching, but touch the hem of His garment." So, she silently goes and touches the hem of the garment. Jesus turned around and said "Who touched me?"

How did He know that one touch amid all the jostling of the crowd?? The multitudes were all over Him . Him. The disciples even thought it is strange that He should ask such a question. The people could not resist in touching Him.

Ohhhh!! But there was one touch different from the rest of the crowd. There was a heart's cry in it, a piteous cry. It was not like the jostling of the crowd, accidental or a thoughtless touch, but the mere touch of nearness; there was a soul in it. So, amid the rude pressure of the multitude, He recognised it. And And the woman came trembling and falling upon Jesus feet, she declared to Christ the reason she has touched him and that very twinkling of the moment she said she was healed. And Jesus said to her, "daughter, be of good cheer, your faith has made thee whole. Go in peace." Amen!

Topic: "In Everything Give Thanks For This Is The Will Of God." -

1 Thes. 5 18. Even In Pain, Sickness, Setback, Loss Of Loved One And Suffering...

Unless we experience the similar suffering of someone by ourselves we cannot comfort others. When you and I go through pain, sickness, sorrow and suffering, then we know what exactly is pain and suffering of others.

Christians always try to analise some unpleasant situations why God allowed it to happen. However, this is a wasted effort and it can lead to further frustration and depression in life.

Paul was encouraging the church of Thessalonians not to be disheartened by trials of persecution, accusation, humiliation, sickness, death but to give thanks in all circumstances. Paul himself personally experienced all these trials and pain, and so he was able to exhort the church to rejoice in whatever situation they face in life, either good, ok or worst.

Another reason for pain and privation is that these situations crowd us to draw closer to Him. Till adversity strikes and knocks our doors we never open our hearts sincerely to Him.

We are to thank the Lord for pain as well as for pleasure, and this can only be done only when we have closer walk with Christ and thereby being rooted in faith. Through the Word of God we have the assurance that God can turn a crushing experience into a great blessing, like Handel Fredrick who composed the famous "Hallelujah Chorus" when he was facing a terminal illness and financial bankruptcy. Such experiences only bring greater anointing to pen such inspiring hymns.

Even apostle Paul when he wrote these words "in everything give thanks for this is the will of God" he was not sitting in a sofa or a "Sleepwell" brand mattress, but was sitting in a dirty, smelly prison.

May the God of all confort and strength comfort and strengthen all of who go through tribulation, trials, setbacks, sicknesses and loss of loved one's. Amen.

Topic: Why God Allows His Children To Suffer Pain And Privation? Through Suffering God Makes Us Spiritually Mature And More Blessed.

Song - Handel's Messiah, "Hallelujah Chorus." It is evident that the world is full of suffering. Physical, emotional and spiritual pain has been and will be an intrinsic part of the human experience.

1 Peter 3:14

For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him

God permits His faithful children to suffer so eventually we might by His grace, be more like Christ. God uses trials along with delightful experiences to make us like His Son, Jesus. Sometimes God allows trials when we tend to go astray from Him.

Through suffering God makes us spiritually mature and strong. God cuts away some of the rough, jagged edges so we learn to depend on Him and to reflect Him in our daily living. God might sometimes purify us in fiery furnace either to chastise us or to refine and purify us further to live deeper and more meaningful life in Him and for Him. Iron can be forged, shaped or moulded only in hot furnace to temperature at least not less than 900 degree centingrade.

Many do not realise that *George Fredrick Handel,* the great music composer, suffered much pain and privation. At the very height of his musical career he became seriously ill. This was a devastating blow.

He also simultaneously encountered financial reverses to the point that there was no way out. Following these crushing moments and experiences, Handel wrote that great masterpiece, Messiah which includes the thrilling "Hallelujah Chorus" that overflows with triumph and blessing. This was composed by him way back in 1741 complied from KJV Bible and was first performed un Dublin on 13 April, 1742. It is mostly performed since then during Christmas time. Its performed every year all over the globe and also at our St. Thomas SPG Church, Secunderabad, Telengana, India.

Many of the inspiring hymns and gospel songs like Blessed Assurance, What a Freinds we have in Jesus, Safe in the arms of Jesus, Pass me not O Gentle Saviour... and several other we use today were written men and women whose hopes and plans were dashed and crushed, and God stepped in to make these bitter things work together for His glory.

Topic: Discipline! It Will Take Us To Places Where Honor, Rewards, Recognition, Riches, Good Health And Blessings Are In Store...

"Discipline automatically does not make someone a leader, but no one can lead for long without it."

2 Corint. 9:26 & 27. I do not fight like a boxer beating in the air... But, I discipline my body and keep it under control lest I myself should be disqualified.

Discipline will take us to places where honor, rewards, recognition, riches, good health and blessings are in store. Indiscipline will take us to shame, humiliation, poverty, sickness, and finally disillusionment in life.

"More governments have failed from poor discipline than poor policies."

"More Church Leaderships have failed miserably due to bad discipline than bad theology."

"Super achievers don't waste time in unproductive and catastrophic thoughts. They think constructively and they knew their level of thinking determines their success." - Dr. Seymour Epstein.

Paul said in 1 Cor. 9:26, "I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. But, I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest I myself be disqualified. A champion boxer must have a clear focused aim in the ring. Few seconds distraction is enough for him to be knocked out of the event. But, an indisciplined boxer who never disciplined himself to have a focused training and hard work will throw wild punches in the sir, never landing a blow on his opponent.

Similarly, an indisciplined believer suffers consistent defeats in his bout or fight against sin.

So, it's important to train ourselves with discipline to pursue godliness. To pursue true victory and success, we need to discipline ourselves to walk in Spirit and not in flesh and in pursuit of fleshly lustful desires. But to discipline ourselves in biblical preaching, participate in fellowship, Word, Personal Prayers, Praise and worship, and most importantly practice and implement it in our daily life. Otherwise, our Christian life will be just like seeing in the mirror, the mud and dirt all over the face and not cleaning it.

Topic : A Pure Heart! "God Favours A Man With A Pure Heart; And A Clear Conscience." - Chris Lumpkin.

Where our heart is there is our mind and eyes too!

Prov. 23: 26 & 33. My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my way.

Your eyes will see strange things. And your heart will utter perverse things.

It's really good to be healed from cancer, aids, carona virus, T.B, but the greatest healing in life is the healing of heart and saving of soul from eternal damnation of eternal fire.

I came to know a person who was suffering from last stage of cancer...

...So, I believe, "Healing of heart and being born again" is the greatest miracle in life.

Heart is deceptive and full of evil. Unless we cleanse it and and confess and repent of our iniquities, we all perish.

Kind David knows our human heart is full of wickedness and deceptive. Unholy and impure thoughts. He prays a sincere prayer with a repentant heart, praying, "Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me."

If our heart is good we will do good and edifying works. If not, we will do deceptive works and see evil things of world with our eyes. And thereby bring reproach and shame to ourselves leading us to eternal destruction.

Topic : Jesus Fasted For 40 Days, Prayed And Submitted To Heavenly Father In Obedience To Do His Will.

Fasting and abstinence from food is good. But without change of heart to be a clean vessel makes lent season otherwise one more ritualistic season.

We have started season of Lent starting from 22nd February, Ash Wednesday and ends a day before Easter, i.e on 8th April, 2023, to be precise.

As we know, lent lasts for 40 days excluding Sundays, and represents Jesus time in the wilderness, praying and fasting and being tempted by satan.

It is the season to observe the passion, crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. And primarily to have a repentant heart to come closer to the cross and Christ. It's time to grow and strengthen our faith in true love, care and unity of Body of Christ.

It's not just fasting, praying and giving but to live a transformed life. Jesus fasted, prayed and submitted to Heavenly Father in obedience to do His will.

Lent is not to show to others what we are... God is not interested in such golden vessel nor silver vessels, but God is looking for honorable vessel usable to the Master. That is, a complete yielded vessel. A clean repentant heart is honorable and usable vessel.

Fasting and abstinence from meat all these 40 days certainly bring flesh under subjection. But it's more than that. It's not with a motive of any favours. It's time for cleansing, true repentance and transformation within which is most important. Being a blessing. Being useful to someone. Being transformed totally in these days to rise in resurgence, revival and be re-equipped with the change of mind from carnal to spiritual.....

Topic : Season Of Lent Before Easter. Time For Repentance, Renewal And Restoration.

Mt. 03:02.

Repent ye for the kingdom of God is at hand.

Repenting as we all know is not confessing our sins and doing the same sins again and again for years... But, Repentance is making a "U" turn, turning away completely from our habitual sins we cling to. ..

Ashes are a sign of Repentance. These ashes are also a sign of humility and signs of mortality which is why when ashes are distributed the minister says, "Turn away from sins and be faithful to Christ and it's gospel." Yielding our strong holds where we are unable to wriggle out as we prepare for the "Ash Wednesday." And let's not pride ourselves, but remember that we are from dust and to dust we shall return. So, why all these arguments, accusations, bickerings in our lives...? We don't wear ashes to proclaim our holiness but to acknowledge ourselves as sinners in need of Repentance, renewal of our hearts and consecration to allow His will to be fulfilled in our lives, but Not our carnal desires. This Ash wednesday is the day when we as christians renew :

Three practices. But before that let me emphasis it must not be a mere yearly ritualistic fasting and doing our own things and clinging to our same own carnal desires. If it is so, then this Ash Wednesday will be just another one coming and going. But it must be with a sincere effort and an affirmation and resolution to look different and be different to the world by practising three things.

*Fasting. *Praying.

*Giving.

Fast Pray and Give.

Ad we all know lent begins 40 days before Easter. 40 has a symbolic value in the Bible. Reminds us of Jesus fast in the wilderness.

You Have made A Way Where There Seems To Be No Way.

When we look back at what God has done historically, we can build expectation about what He can do for us today. When we see how He consistently blessed Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we know that if He blessed a father, son and grandson, He will bless our families too provided we trust in Him and be faithful.

When we look back at how He delivered the children of Israel from the bondage of Pharaoh and brought them miraculously from their past into the full potential of their future, we too can recognize that He can destroy every shackle of sin and set us free from every bondage and addiction that binds and torments us.

And we can, with comfort, declare that whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

When we read about the manna and the water from a rock in the wilderness, about Jericho’s walls that came down with a shout, and how a giant was defeated with David’s stone, we too can trust God enough to declare in faith believing,“Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.” When you read how Jesus Christ touched multitudes of the sick and healed them all and how He fed the masses with a few loaves and fishes, we know that our God is full of power and able to provide more than we could ask, think or imagine......

Topic: Selfishness And Greed! It Never Gives Us Content Life. It Actually Holds Us Back From Being Blessed And Makes Us Joyless And Peaceless Within, Dry And Empty Inspite Of Doing God's Work.

Today, let us listen to this topic, "Selfishness And Greed".

Philip 2 : 3 & 4 .Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

I feel sad to share but it's the truth. Till now, in my observation I never heard neither Hindus nor muslims going to courts to fight for their rights and properties. But if we go to the courts, we see so many cases of Christians and churches fighting for properties and rights.

It's the greatest curse. 100s and 100s of churches where we see selfishness and greed taking centre stage and the word "true revival of God's kingdom" has taken a back seat.

During my theological studies we walked through the book of Acts. If we observe the book of Acts, Greatest revival has taken place in the history has been during the early church disciples and apostolic days. If I'm not exaggerating, selfishness among the disciples and apostles was ZERO. Unity, one accord, relishing succes of each other has been their lives. Revival, unity, togetherness, true joy and peace was at its peak. Satan and it's works were crushed.

If we as Individuals, organisations, ministries and churches have such attitude, it will be time for greatest revival of our times.

But, when we continue to have a selfish attitude, we can never expect to flourish and never expect any sort of revival even if we have the best of fiery, inspiring sermons and speeches. Because unless the roots are good no good can come forth.

Once a mother before going to office has kept two boxes of sweets telling his two school going sons to have them once they return from school.....

Greed and selfishness was rooted in his life. It's in the human nature itself.

Greed always wants more. Needs can be satisfied, greed cannot be satisfied. Like that little elder brother, it wants more and more.

Hebron church has blessed millions of people all over the world. Because of Bro. Bakth Singh's prayerful and faithful life church has been blessed with so much of property in the Heartland of twin cities.....

Apostle Paul observed similar situation, and so, he was addressing the church of Philippines who were fighting against each other, and boasting of their abilities and powers and doing everything looking into their own interests with selfish ambition. He told them to shun selfish ambitions and their self interests and look into interests of others.

Topic: Storms Of Life! We See Christ's Presence With His Disciples Does Not Keep The Storm Away. There Are No Promises In The Bible That God's Chosen People Shall Not Have Any Storm.

Storms arise even when we are in plain line of duty, Even when we are faithful. Even when Christ is with us, storms do arise...

Matt. 08:23 to 26. And suddenly there arose a great tempest on the see so that the boat was covered with the waves.

The disciples had not put out to sea of their own suggestions. Jesus was in the boat and was sleeping. The lessons we learn here is storms arise even when we are in our plain routine line of duty and when Christ is with us. Jesus never said that we will not have storms, but He will be with us and lead us out to greener pastures when we don't give up.

So, we should not be discouraged by the difficulty or the trouble or the fiery storm that buffets us and conclude that we are in wrong path. Word of God says, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous..

So, we see Christ's presence with his disciples does not keep the storms away. There are no promises in the Bible that God's chosen people shall not have storms.

There are sudden storms of temptation and trials which sweep down with sudden and terrific power from the cold mountain of this world. There are storms of sickness, of disappointment and disillusionment, storms of adversities, of sorrow and grief that makes the waves and bellows to roll over the soul. Thus many of the life storms come suddenly. We all need to be geared up as we do not have any revelation gift operating. They do not hang out any danger signals for us to foresee. The hopes cherished for years wither in our hands in a night. If, we are God's children we have a hope that "for every storm Jesus gives a silver lining." He gives us a hope beyond hope which no religeon can give. Only crucified an risen christ alone can gives us.
