We often think that the world is impressed with our success and how we enjoy our prosperity. But they’re actually more impressed by how we as Christians handle adversity.

When you’re going through pain, non-believers around you are watching you. They’re wondering what it means to be a Christian when you’re in the same kind of pain they are. Does it look any different?

The truth is, we have the same pain as everybody else. But we just have a different source of comfort....

Our successes does not give our credibility. But, our suffering gives us credibility.

The more honest and positive we are about the suffering in our life, the more powerful our impact will be in people’s lives.

The apostle Paul was a pro at using his pain to model his message. He says in 2 Corinthians 6:4, “In everything we do we show that we are God’s servants by patiently enduring troubles, hardships, and difficulties.”

Our deepest life message will come out of our deepest pain. The world doesn’t need to see Christians who are perfect or have it all together. They need something real and authentic. They need to see Christians who are patient in pain, who walk faithfully even in suffering.

Every area of our life where we’ve experienced pain is a testimony.

Has God helped us patiently endure chronic pain? Anywhere we’ve had pain and experienced God’s help itself is a testimony.

Let us not waste our time in self pity over our pain and hurt.

People all around us are going through the very thing we’ve llalready gone through, and they need our help. They need us to comfort them. If we ourselves cry over our pain thehow can we comfort and counsel those who are in pain and sorrow?

The greatest witness of God’s love in all of history was not Jesus’ perfect life, his sermons, his miracles, or his stories. It was his suffering.

God can use our faithfulness in suffering to great effect in someone’s life. In fact, our faithfulness in suffering could be our greatest witness!

Its our reaction to adversity that determines how our life story will develop.

Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

I laid me down and slept; I awakened; for the Lord sustained me.

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

Blessed are those who fear the Lord!! Blessed are those people who share the redemptive salvation of having Christ within who died for our sins and rose again.

Here also we observe David also was also no strange to family and personal problems. He had plenty. The great man of God found himself overwhelmed because of the rebellion of his very own son, the handsome Absalom who looks beautiful to look at, but deceit, greed within and wrong companion ruined him to upsurge his own beloved father's throne.

Rather than stay and fight with him, he chose to flee from home and his throne. Though many thought David was forsaken by God, David thought it otherwise. Even amidst severe unbearable trials, he still saw the Lord has been his shield, protector and fortress.

Even in our lives, when doctor's reports are discouraging, financial crisis, family issues, death of our lived ones, may too rise like how David faced. And how he encouraged himself and strengthened to say, "Thou are my shield and strength".

Topic : Whose Worship God Accepts And Blesses? Obedience To God Is The Best Form Of Worship Which Bears Fruit And Success..

Regularly going to church is good.. Eloquent Ear Catching Prayers/ Attractive Worship Without is good. Being in a good worship team is good.

But without obedience all these becomes a wasted effort..

Obedience to God is the best form of worship which bears fruit and success, and has the Lord's blessings.

In our walk with Christ worship is the act of attributing reverential honor and homage to God.

In the new testament various words are used to refer to the term 'worship'. One is 'proskuneo' means "to worship" which means to bow down to the Lord Omnipotent.

It's not how much amount we place in offering box. It's not how sweetly we sing and worship. It's not how active we are in the church. These are all no doubt expressions of worship. A holy person can enjoy worship and praise.

Ps. 96:09 says "O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Prophet Samuel tells king Saul when Saul disobeyed the Lord - "To obey is better than sacrifice."

Topic : Does God Heal Everyone In The Present Days?

God allows suffering and sickness for various reasons. Classified into three categories.

1. Because of our own negligence sickness sets in. As long as we are in this world God has given us the wisdom to keep up our health. By proper diet, excercise and good rest, and be happy and content. But often times we fail to take care of these things in life.

2. Suffering or sickness sometimes is caused when we are rebellious disobedient and move away from God. You can call it consequences of sin. Rom 3 23, Ps 119 : 71.

3. God allows suffering and sickness to test our faith and our faithfulness though we are faithful. He allows it for some mysterious purpose though we are obedient, God fearing, faithful and trust worthy, but yet, we have to go through the suffering of pain and sickness.

Paul has to carry on with a thorn in His flesh. He prayed to God on three different occasions to remove the thorn, but God said, " My grace is sufficient. ( 2 Corin. 12 : 7-10)

Faithful young Timothy was suffering with weak stomach. ( 1 Tim. 5: 23)

Epaphroditus, who was assisting Paul in the ministry was sick unto death. Philip 2 25 to 27.

Prophet Elisha, who worked so many miracles, died of a disease. 2 Kings 13 : 14.

History abounds with godly folk who were not healed. Fanny Crosby was just six weeks old when she became blind and remained so till death, but she gave us 8000 inspirational hymns. And two of them are "Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine, Pass me not O gentle Saviour, hear my humble cry."

Great man of God,

Sr. Pastor, Nalla Thomas garu was suffering with Parkinson disease till his death though he was faithful, trustworthy and loyal to God.

Such type of testing is mysterious and allows to few of His children, but the rest who suffer is either by their own negligence in this world or the consequences that God allows.

For such of those, here is the good news. Exodus 15 : 26 says, "I am the Lord who heals you. Jesus healed all kinds of diseases. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. On the cross he carried our sickness and all our diseases.

By His stripes we are healed.

Just because water is dirty, it may not be used for drinking purpose, but, it has the power to stop the raging fire and flames; Similarly dont break relationships you think they are not useful to you, because any relationship you think its not useful might be needed or useful one day.

It's not how big the house is that is important, but how happy the home is. If you keep on seperating and breaking away from people whom you think you dont like, you will finally end up with no one whom you like.

Relationship is like a beautiful flower in a garden. You water it, care for it and nurture it for it to keep living and blooming.

In life whom we want and whom we like and whom we dont want our heart decides. But who will stay and remain with us our behaviour and conduct decides.

If you keep on seperating yourself from others for even trivial matters and small petty reasons when you need someone, you will find none.

For a lonely person he fears darkness, for a good person, he fears man, but one who has good heart, fear is the world.

If you want to live peacefully never try to change the person nor dream and expect him to change, but you change. You Be The Change.

If we dont want any glass panes or thorns to hurt us, we wear slippers to protect, but do we sweep the entire street? ........

Do Good to everyone. Those who do good, and help you in times of need, never forget but remember them. They are your crown of hope and joy.

Those who are foolish and weak in this world, by answering and discussing with such we ourselves enhance their value and encourage them to be more like that. Refrain from such peoples' arguments and opinions.

Understanding and misunderstanding three words differenciate them. So, let's never misunderstand anyone but understand them and their heart broken stories.

What we allow into our minds determines our reality and ultimately our legacy. Therefore mastering or controlling our mind positively is of great importance.

As someone thinks within himself, so he is. Prov. 23:7.

When we think, we build thoughts, and these become physical substance in our brains.

There is a class of people who boast of their honesty and frankness because we just say what we think without any second thought. Flinging out the words right and left as they come, no matter where they strike or whom they wound. Call it not honesty, but boasted frankness; call it miserable impertinence, reckless cruelty. We have no right to say what we think we can say, unless we think lovingly and sweetly..

We certainly have no right to unlade our jealousies, envies, bad humour, and miserable spites upon someone's heart.

If we must be ugly tempered, we should at least keep that ugliness locked up in ourselves, and not let it out to mar other people's happiness. Or we must speak out the wretched feelings, let us go into our own room and no ears hear it, but our own ears shall hear the hateful words.

Topic : Repent And Surrender Before You Pray. The Lord Answers Prayer Of A Repentant And Righteous Heart.

Prayer of a righteous person Can shake and destroy devil's plots and plans.

James 5 16..The fervent Prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Not a gifted man but a righteous person.

Without complete surrender and consecration all our prayers are like a "strong tyre with a tiny hole."

*Obsesssing over a situation does not change it. Only God has the power to change the circumstances. Learn to surrender to God and allow His will to prevail. Do not try to do things in your own way, you will end up traveling a painful and destructive path.*

Surender to God completely and then you can truly make a fervent and serious priortorised prayer.

Prayers must not be hasty, quick and casual and say its done..If we want to understand the will of God in taking decisions, it has to be serious fervent priortorised prayers which drives the darkness away, which makes the devil to tremble and run away from us.

Prayer unlocks the resources of heaven so that they can be unleashed on earth.

Prayer accesses the bits of heaven on Earth. It pushes the darkness back. It pushes the devil down and out. Pray pray pray.

Jesus did not say, my house shall be a house of good preaching, my house shall be a house of good singing, a house of glittering lights and show, its all good and ok, but He said, "My house shall be the house of prayer.

All that singing, all that preaching is good, but without a change of heart all these things will not push darkness away, all these things will not push the devil away, but when MY People Shall Humble Themselves, and turn away from their wicked thoughts, wicked ways, wicked sins, and seek my face, then I will hear from heaven and heal thy land. He will heal thy family from all bondages, from all curses and from all your sins..

Topic : Is Secret Discipleship In Christ Right/Good? Certainly It Does Not Get The Hearty Approval Of One's Own Conscience.

John 3:2: Nicodemus came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Secret discipleship is certainly not satisfactory. As I said, it does not get the joyful approval of one's own conscience. It does not bring full, rich peace to the heart. It yields a hampered crippled Christian life at its best. If We Love Christ we must come out boldly, and come out and confess Him without any fear and shyness. When it is done, it brings honor to Him and blessings to ourselves. We have a glorious promise from the divine Word that those who confess Him here, He will confess at the day of judgement.

There are many who are born again but shy away telling others of their new life. It dents the very joy and doubts whether the transformation is genuine. And most of them in due course of time their new life fades away into oblivion. And many move away from the faith never to come back. If truly experienced the true love of Christ and for Christ their hearts could not be repressed. The blessing of secret discipleship will never receive it's full blessings.

An orthodox sikh, Bro. Bakht Singh, the day, for the matter of fact the moment he truly tasted true love of Christ, in the same street in London he shared openly his new joyful life experience and wherever he went he did this. It was quiet opposite to secret discipleship. He forsook the property inherited by his father, when his father advised him to keep his faith secret..

And master of the feast sath unto the bridegroom, "Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, they give inferior."

Ss I said earlier, In grace however, this is reversed. The good wine is kept to the last.

In Christian life too there first comes bitterness, but out of the bitterness a sweetness flows. There can be the deep sorrow of penitence, but this gives way to the blessed joy of forgiveness.

First there would be self denial and cross bearing, but out of these experiences comes a holy peace of tranquility that fills all the heart.

Sorrows and trials for His sake are to be endured, but the good wine of comfort and joy is poured into the empty cup. There is always a constant progression in the blessings of divine life.

Though there are few, we can see the radiance of unruffled calmness, peace and joy. It never ends, but always gets better, better and better. There is always something sweeter yet to come.

Christ keeps the best wine till the very last in heaven. We will know the sweetness and love of God untill we get home to the Father's house. When we as His faithful can fully understand in His home that later wine is sweeter than former. Means eternal life is much sweeter than this life of unholy sojourn.

Topic : Fears Of Old Age! A Righteous Person Never Fears Of Old Age. Because A Righteous Person Though Becomes Old Is The One Who Makes God His Strength, And Trusteth Not In The Abundance Of His Riches And Strengthens Not Himself In Wickedness.

Who will flourish in the old age? Righteous shall flourish like the Palm tree...They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; They shall be fat and flourishing. - Ps 92:12 & 14.

Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

The promise of God is upon every righteous believer to prosper in all areas of life. It is likened to the flourishing of the palm tree.

There are several unique fruit bearing characteristics of a palm tree. For today's devotion we shall confine ourselves to focus on two of them.

What does it mean righteous flourish like a palm tree?

1.

Palm trees have deep roots which go down untill they strike the living springs of water.

Flourish like a palm tree means, as the roots of the palm tree go deep, similarly a righteous person cannot be easily uprooted or blown away with a heavy storm. This indicates the steadfastness of the believer in the truth of the Word of God amidst challenges and adversities. He will be able to stand firm during any sort of storm he or she might face.

2.

The palm tree another unique characteristic is, it's an evergreen tree unlike other trees.

This characteristically typifies the constant freshness of the spirit filled life of the righteous person.

We must understand that most of the fruit bearing tress put on thier beauty in the spring of the year. Then when the cold winter approaches they shed their greenery of leaves and flowers.

This is typical of many Christians like these trees which are vibrant only in one season and fade away spiritually completely in another season.

There are millions of believers who fall in this category though we may be great preachers, good worship leaders, effective leaders but not steadfast and consistent in our walk with Christ.

Such people are described as being lukewarm, unstable whose efforts do not bear fruit for themselves nor for God's Kingdom.

Who is a righteous person who can bear fruit on all seasons and at all places??

A righteous person is one who has willfully and sincerely repented of his or her sins and has accepted Lord Jesus as his or her personal Saviour.

Abstaining from habitual sins and fleshly lusts and living in obedience to the Word of God.

A righteous man is one who makes God his strength, and trusteth not in the abundance of his riches and strengthens not himself in wickedness.
