Topic : Vision! A Task Without A Vision Is A Drudgery.

As we all know, the ability to think about or Plan the future with imagination or wisdom is vision.

In every Organisation or a manufacturing company there is a 'vision statement' of the company. One of the phrases that is quoted often in Christian sermons often in the pulpit, in political ralies, in sales promotion meetings, in motivational personality development programs, is taken from the wise sayings of Solomon, the king from Prov. 29:18: "Where there is no vision, the people perish." Most men and women dream of better things than they experience. For Some, the goal is better job with more pay, Some plan for better education, in order that life may be enriched. A scientist envisions for a better world with better inventions. An artist dreams of new expressions of beauty.

Therfore without an ideal, a dream, a vision, a human being will not have the incentive to work and to discipline himself ir herself in order to achieve those better things in life.

An anonymous author has penned:

A vision without a task is a dream;

A task without a vision is a drudgery;

A vision and a task is the hope of the world.

When we have a vision and task we will be well placed in the society, in our profession, in our Spiritual development.

Do you have the passion for the things of God pertaining to the kingdom of God? And to be Victorious till the end? If not, we will be distracted, disappointed, defeated and disillusioned in life at the end. Many Christians and servants of God too who start off well drift from their purpose and calling falling prey to worldly pleasures and enticements and for earning instant wealth in wrong ways.

Paul likeness the vision of the Christian life to running a race freely without any weights, and having our eyes steadfadtly fixed on the goal if winning the prize. Focusing on the end rewards or targeted goal is fulfilment of the vision.

Lord, be it our personal life, professional life or Spiritual life, help us not just to have the vision but the needed passion and the willpower to work it out with discipline and steadfastness to reach our primary goal. And to successfully finish our race like apostle Paul and other great missionaries. In Jesus marvelous name we Pray.

Topic: We Can Never Regret In Life When We Enjoy Praising Him And Practicing His Presence Always.

When our cup of life is filled with praises, when we practise His presence every day, we will enjoy Sunday worship service. It will overflow with joy, power, peace and radiance in our lives. When we don't do that it becomes yet another Sunday which comes and goes without any blessing whatsoever. That's the reason we see no transformation takes place.

When we have the desire and make it a practice to be in His presence, hatred, malice, bitterness, complains, bickerings, restlessness, and self centredness will disappear - and it's replaced with love, joy and peace in our lives. Even Amidst difficult times, we will be able to praise Him.

When we are close to Cross and to the Lord, we love to praise Him always.

And also when we praise Him, we tend to become closer to the Lord and reap the blessings of healing, deliverance and restoration.

Let us see from the Divine Word the experiences and the eagerness of the men of God to praise the Lord.

King David said in Ps. 27:4. One thing I have desired of the Lord that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord...

Why we need to do it? Verse 5: In the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion, ... He shall set me upon a rock.

What a sweet desire David had? To dwell in the House of the Lord all the days of his life.

Irony is, drop of a hat, people skip Sunday services, go late to the church, giving some excuse. They come at their own sweet time. Because it's church.

In Psalm 84 :10, the sons of Korah while praising said, "For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkerper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents ⛺️ of the wicked." What a wonderful desire!? To be in the house of God than to be in the tents of the wicked. Than to be in the tents of the gossipers, complainers and evil doers.

Why the psalmists desire to be in the house of God? 11th verse, The Lord is a sun and a shield 🛡; the Lord will give grace and glory; and the Lord will not withhold any good thing.

Help us Lord to have a strong desire to be in the house of God, that is to prefer to be in your presence, and help us to just be a door keeper in thine house than to perish in the tents of the wicked and ungodly. In ....

Topic: Challenging, Difficult Situations In Life? Still Can We Praise Him? Why...? How...?

We can see in today's devotion.

After Habakkuk questioning God which we have seen earlier, we can understand that he is a free thinking prophet who is not afraid to wrestle with issues that test his faith. He openly and honestly directs his problems to God and was eagerly waiting to see the response of God.

After two rounds of dialogues with the Lord Habakkuk's increased understanding of the person, power and plan of God, cause him to conclude with the best of the praise, a praise which Habakkuk makes becomes an household prayer of praise to all those who go through disappointments, challenges and ups and downs in life, path which is unknown. Yet Habakkuk's praise concludes to say that His purposes in our lives is always safe and perfect though unknown to us.

Let us pray the blessed and inspiring prayer of praise of Habakkuk together.

Hab. 3: 17 to 19.

17: Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

What we need to do when facing such difficult and challenging situations in life?

Habakkuk says in 18th verse; Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Why he loves to rejoice inspite of scarcity and famine? He responds saying in 19th verse; The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon many high places..."

Let us recal the assured divine relevant verses of the topic.

We can praise God whatever situation we are in because in 2 Tim. 01:7 it promises, "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self control."

Word also promises great things when we call on Him and praise Him. It says in Jerm. 33:3. "Call to me, and I will answer you and will tell you great and mighty things that you have not known."

Help us to know you have a specific perfect plan and purpose in our lives though sometimes we tread an unknown path and valley. We know thou will do great and mighty things when we call on you in obedience and praise you....

Topic: Moving From Doubt To Faith. The Power Of Peace Released When We Praise God.

We learn a powerful lesson from the life and story of Habakkuk. Habakkuk is an unusual Hebrew name means "The one who embraces." He is the 8th of the 12 minor Prophets listed in the Bible. The key Word of this book is 2 :4. "But the just shall live by faith."

One of the most blessed Praise we can see in the Bible, when things are not going our way,

when the expected become a mountain to climb,

when difficulties seem to become impossible to resolve and come out,

when sickness or a disease diagnosed startles you,

we can see and take 'courage and strength' and hope from the praise by prophet Habakkuk in final chapter, I.e the 3rd chapter last three verses.

He starts off with doubts like a wisdom writer complaining and questioning God. Habakkuk struggles in his faith when people fragrantly disobey God's command. He is even more troubled seeing the nation has been polluted with sin and corruption.

He complains to God and says in first chapter, 2 & 3rd verse - "O Lord, how long shall I cry and You will not listen? Even cry out to you, and you will not save?.."

How many times in our lives we see the same type of complain to God for our unanswered prayers?

Why God doesn't answer us? Why He doesn't save us from embarasing situation?

We all must understand conquering or overcoming doubts and fears demands a growing, obedient relationship with God.

Today we have seen how Habakkuk started of questioning God with doubts and complains. Tomorrow we will see how the prophet ends in conclusion.

We understand Lord, in this world we are surrounded time and again with doubts and fears, eventhough we have everything in life. Help us to conquer these doubts with a closer relationship with you by obeying to live a just trustworthy life.

Topic : Why We Need To Repent? It Leads To Restoration.

We mediated earlier what exactly repentance means.

Turning away from things that we were doing, things that we were seeing which are are not right in the sight of the Lord.

Why it's so important to repent?

Only in repentance we experience the personal relationship with the Lord In a more intimate way.

How much work we do, it makes no sense. But only in repentance we see His presence, we experience His power within us, and His perfect guidance to us.

When we repent, then we will have the desire to seek Him, and the desire to be with Him. Ps. 34 :10 Young Lions may suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall never lack any good thing.

We may have salvation but if are deeply in sin without having the heart of repentance, we will lose the joy of Salvation, His presence, we will move out of God's will and take our own decisions which we regret in life.

2 Sam. 10: 12 to 25. We all know how David not only committed adultery with Bathsheba but he planned and indirectly murdered her husband. He was as usual moving on with life, when God exposed and reminded of his his sins through prophet Nathan. Prophet narrated a story and then told him it was he who sinned.

David on hearing, I feel he is one person in Bible who truly acknowledged his sins, felt sorry for it and turned away from it in total repentance. His prayer of repentance has become a role model for all who aspire to live a Victorious life.

Ps. 51: 10.

Creat in me a clean heart O Lord, cast me not away from your presence, take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation...

Topic: True Repentance Produces God's Perfect Plan In Our Lives.

Matt. 3:2. Repent ye for the kingdom of God is within us.

But oftentimes we entangle ourselves unfortunately with the world for crumbs of pleasures here and there and thereby lose the perfect will and plan of God, and God's richest blessings of success, joy, peace and happiness.

Repentance of sin opens the way for a relationship with the Lord.

Repentance is a Middle Eastern word that describes the act of turning around when one realizes he has been going in the wrong direction. Repentance says, “I will turn around and walk another way.” To repent is not just to say we are sorry for something that happened. To repent is to say, “I am sorry this has happened, and I realize this is wrong, and I accept what God has said about it is true, and right now I turn from my sin to God - to walk in a new and righteous way.” Repentance is a prerequisite for a fresh chance to have God's blessings and restoration.

"Repentance" is a profound change of mind involving the change of direction of life from that of self-centeredness or sin-centeredness to God or Christ-centeredness. God's forgiveness is available only to those who have a repentant heart."

The Lord is wanting all of us to come to repentance; for it is the path for the heart to be open to understanding and grasping God’s total forgiveness. This truth makes it imperative that we get a Biblical understanding of repenting and what repentance is.

Help us not to utter the words of confession and repentance in a ritualistic manner without change of heart. Give us your grace to turn away from the worldly allurments and be blessed according to your perfect plan for us. In ....

Topic: God's Presence. When You Go Through Deep Waters And Great Trouble The Lord Will Be With You. Amen!

Isaiah 43:2-3.

“When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord your God.”

When you became a Christian, can we expect life to suddenly be easy? No! But His presence will be always with us.

"If you look the right way, you can see the whole world is a garden."

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself."

The only ray of hope in trouble is God being with us..

If you did, I am sure you found out pretty quickly that Christians too face all kinds of trials—including relational, financial, physical, and mental. Some people expect life to be heaven on earth. But this is not heaven!

We pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven—because then it would be done perfectly.

Everything on this planet is broken. The weather, the economy, our bodies, and our relationships don’t always work right. We can be sure that, because of sin, bad things will happen.

We can also be assured of God’s promises to support us in all the trouble we will face on this earth.

When we go through deep waters and rivers of difficulty, God doesn’t promise that we won’t get wet; sometimes life hurts. But God does promise that we are not going to drown.

When you go through the fire, it’s going to get hot. But God promises that we are not going to burn up. We are going to make it through.

Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace]”. That doesn’t mean that you can do anything because of who you are. It means you can have confidence in whatever trouble life brings because you face it with the power of Christ in you.

You may not feel very strong right now. But strength will come when you need it. The Bible doesn’t say to ask God for your weekly or monthly bread. It says to pray something like this: “God, give me my daily bread. I need just enough strength for today.”

God will support you in your trouble. He always gives you the strength you need for today.

Help us to understand on times of troubles and testings Lord you are our hope and strength, and you are our Rock, Refuge, Fortress and Strong tower 💪. Help us to understand you will be with us till the end...

Topic : Tough And Hard Times Produce Better Harvest.

Romans: 5: 3.

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

"For every storm there is a rainbow."

"There is weeping in the night, but joy comes in the morning."

"For every dark cloud there is a silver lining."

Being grafted into the Vine does not guarantee eternal sunshine and storm-free days for the plant. On the other side of salvation, we often endure seasons of struggle.

We experience dry deserts and devastating storms. We endure the cold winters and uncertain cyclones and hail storms which we often experience.

Be assured that hard times will bring a harvest!

If our life in Christ will mature, we must be willing to experience growing pains. Struggle is synonymous with growth! In the vineyard, every branch that produces clusters of glowing grapes has suffered pain to mature.

The seed planted in the soil has struggled to break ground. The plant has struggled to dig deep roots, to push out leaves, to blossom and bear fruit. We celebrate the harvest, but pain accompanies production or fruit bearing.

By nature, we resist struggle. We prefer pain-free days. We long for the easy route, the results without the cost of growth. But we will not have the strength to sustain growth if we do not work for the outcome.

Where is our character developed? The good days do not make us emotionally strong, expand our confidence, or establish our fortitude. Struggle makes us strong. We can glory in tribulations knowing that our perseverance produces much fruit....

Topic: A Re-Visit Once Again On Our Previous Devotion Of "A New Creation In Christ."

It's A New Hope Of Joy Peace Contentment And Security In Christ.

If a person is a new creation in Christ he or she dislikes All sins since they have crucified the old nature completely with Christ.

Apostle Paul says. "I am crucified with Christ. It's Not I anymore but Christ liveth in me. Gal. 2:20.

Revival is standstill today, because everyone says they are a néw creation but most of them do not surender their self, Ego, I . They rule instead of allowing Christ to rule. Then the christian thermometer shows, it's not a real and genuine transformation.

What does a person who is a new creation in Christ doesn't like to do?

Those who have received Christ as their Saviour and become a new creation in Christ *they do not do like to do certain things which they used to do earlier.* This is a sign and conviction that the person transformation is true and visible.

They are:

They avoid people, places, practices, programs and publications that tempt them to sin.

They will not be jealous anymore.

#

They will not be self glory seekers.

#

They will not be corrupt and dishonest in their talk and walk.

#

They will avoid foolish discussions and arguments.

#

They will flee from the desires of youthly flesh.

# They will not be harsh, rude and violent.

#

They will not have the desire to seek limelight and praises of people.

# They will never harden their hearts to help the poor and needy and mission fields and mission work.

#

They will not see things which which pervert their hearts;

They will not walk to places which lead to unholiness and sin.

A person who is in Christ then what he desires or likes to do or be always?

#

They love to be with godly people who love the Lord.

..Love to have right fellowship.

#

They love to have the longingness and eagerness to read and meditate God's Word. Ps. 119: 9,11, 105, 165.

#

Will have the desire to pray always and everywhere. Mt. 4:4. Watch and pray that you will not fall into temptation. Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
