Prov..25:28 says, "A person without self control is like a city with a broken down wall." What will happen to a city with broken walls? The city is easily destroyed. And it has free access for the enemy to capture and enslave. Just as our bodies need good balanced diet food, our minds too need good, positive and clean thoughts every day.

Investing time by reading good moral edifying books, and watching things which enhances and edifies life richly, and spending time with Freinds who build our lives, are few traits of a disciplined life.

Reading filthy books, watching worthless things for hours together, and idling/ spending time with worthless friends who neither have an ambition nor a goal for their lives is nothing but lack of self control and lack of discipline.

There are many in this world who neither have successful stories nor stories of failures. Because they never attempted in the first instance, as they neither have ambition, nor a goal, nor discipline. They just fritter away time in the most worthless things.

If we feed our body with junk food and our mind with bad misleading thoughts, we will have both a sick body and a sick mind.

A true sucessful person in her or his spiritual or professional life depends on how disciplined we are in our day to day lives.

Notable disciplined people like Edison, Ford, Right Brothers who invented electricity, Ford car, aeroplane had unwavering focus and discipline without giving up, inspite of setbacks, failures and discouragement from all quarters.

Even if we go through the Bible, the life of Daniel, he had a disciplined prayer life praying thrice which is noticed by everyone around. Daniel's unwavering focus was, spending disciplined time with the Lord, and not to defile his body with the wine and he said, a big, No.. to the tempting wine and tempting food.

When his life was in danger, yet, he disciplined himself courageously to stand and say, "No" to bow his head to the king's idol which was planned by his enemies. Eventually he became the ruler of Babylon. From a slave he became a Ruler.

Mark 04: 38 & 39. .... The disciples said to Him, "Master, do you not care that we are perishing?" Then Jesus arose and rebuked the wind and said unto the sea "Peace be still." The wind ceased and there was a great calm. Jesus said unto them *"Why are you so fearful? Where is your faith??"*...

No tempest can ever break from the control of Him who is the Lord and Redeemer. No 🌊 wave ever rolls any farther than He permits unless we move away from His sovereign grace attached to the strings of the world. There is nothing in this world that is not under the sway of His ✋ hand that was nailed on the cross. We can await series of rainbows for the storms in our lives - when we Trust and Obey Him.

The first step to anxiety free mind is, to give your life to Jesus! No bank balance, no immovable assets, no power can mitigate anxiety and fear.

"Don't live in the constant fear of the future. Put your life and your future into Christ's hands." - Billy Graham.

At its best, anxiety distracts us from our relationship with God and the truth that He is "Lord of heaven and earth" Mt. 11:25.

At its worst, anxiety is a crippling disease, taking over our minds and plunging our thoughts into darkness.

Here are few promises from the Word of God which destroy fear and anxieties in our lives:

I sought the Lord, and he heard me and delivered me from all my fears. Ps 34:4.

Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Josh. 1:9.

Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad. Prov. 12:25.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Ps 27:1.

For God gave us a Spirit, not of fear but of power and love and self control. 2 Tim. 1:7.

Topic : Guilt, Loneliness, Fear And Depression. Guilt Steals Our Joy. Makes Us Not Only Lonelier But More Fearful.

Guilt, Fear, loneliness, depression saps and drains away our energy and affects our emotional life, physical life, social life and spiritual life too! Everyone goes through it and is part of human emotion. Even great men like Elijah when through fear and depression.

Have you felt lonelier than ever even if your own loved ones are there around? Then we need to ask Jesus to get connected to us. And to enjoy the Lord talking to us through His Word to drive away the loneliness.

Guilt robs our joy. Have you felt past mistakes and sins bothering you? The world might not forgive us. But the Lord forgives our past and enables us to enjoy a clean joyful future. Just we need to truly confess and repent of it. ( 1 John 1 :9.) He will give us guiltless and a clean heart to forget the past and enjoy the future.

Are you going through fear of unknown, fear of uncertainty, fear of sickness?

The more we come closer to the Lord, lesser and lesser will be the fear and depression in our lives.

Dear friend, one of the main ways through which the enemy attacks our mind is by creating fear. The fear can enter our minds without reason. When we do not place the future in the most trusted hands of God, and the enemy Satan will toy with our emotions to create fear about the future. God says, in Isia 41:10 “Do Not Fear, For I Am With You; Do Not Be Dismayed, For I Am Your God. I Will Strengthen You And Help You; I Will Uphold You With My Righteous Right Hand”.

Topic: "Words Of Life" Of Jesus Christ! They Are Divine And All Powerful. Demons Listened, Trembled And Ran Away. Instant Healing Took Place When He Commanded.

Matt. 9 : 6,7 & 8. Jesus said to the paralytic man lying on a bed, "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house. And he arose and departed to his house. Now when the multitude saw it, they marvelled and glorified God.

Words of Christ have words of life. We know how His words comforted sorrow and gave peace to troubled ones.

How His words reached men's hearts and transformed the whole purpose of their lives. We can recall the transformed life of the tax collector, Zachaeus and also how the paralytic man has been healed instantly by His few words. No shouting needed. No jargons needed.

His Words are divine and peace giving. Demons listened trembling when He spoke, and instantly recognised His power and obeyed. They are yet calming tempests and opening blind eyes, and expelling evil spirits, and raising the dead.

These words of Christ which have manifested His majestic miraculous power 2000 years back has the same power even today.....

Then, why when we have the "words of life of Jesus," we are unable to reignite the revival?? Why there is no revival?? It's very simple. We do not obey the life giving words of Christ 100%.

Our obedience is in "bits and pieces" like king Saul..

Everyone needs kind words and encouragement. But always desiring appreciation, praise from people, but same time, unable to take criticism and correction is not true sign . Disciples were criticised, offended and humiliated but yet, they bore the cross and won 1000s to God's kingdom. The day we start "walking the talk," the day our lives become more powerful than our mere preaching brings greatest revival. Let us carry the Cross and not just wearing the cross, and crucify our self centred ego to reignite the great revival.

Freedom Used Wisely With Discipline By Young IPL Cricket Fast Bowling Sensation, Umran Malik Of Jammu And Kashmir.

The Word "Discipline" appears around 60 times throughout the books of the Bible. Discipline makes us wiser to use freedom wisely.

1 Cor 9 27. But I discipline my body and keep it under control...

Freedom is a gift from God! God gave freedom to make our own choices.

There is a misconception which creeps in amongst many, especially the the younger folks thinking, "freedom is, 'I can do anything I feel, or I can do anything I desire, or I want to.'" We all hear this phrase all the time, "I want to be free."

Freedom without discipline is like the fast train going off the track! Where does it land? We all know it. Disaster!😨

Epic "Freedom is procured by a full enjoyment of what is *desired* but controlling the desire." - Epictetus.

There is a misconception that freedom means doing your own thing what you would like to do. But, right freedom which leads to success is "Doing things which you are supposed to do in a specified time and at the right time and not at our own time."

Freedom has been unfortunately utilised in a wrongful manner thereby prevented millions to the path of failure and misery.

Why we hardly see IAS, IRS and IPS officers from Christian circles? Hardly few! In my extended family, we have one. In this world , God gives opportunity for everyone who works hard, like how the rain falls on everyone and as how sun shines on everyone.

We see the exciting cricket pace bowling sensation, Umran Malik, a kid from a Jammu and Kashmir who created ripples with his fiery fastest deliveries clocking maximum speed of 157.3 km, the fastest delivery of this IPL 2022. He even rattled the famed and renowned international batsmen with his brutal raw pace clocking consistently above 150 KM/per hour. He had record bowling figures 5 for 25 against IPL 2022 table toppers, Gujarath Titans. *How could he do it?* He disciplined himself and used the freedom of utilising the time for his passion, goal and vission to achieve something no one achieved, and to play for the nation. While so many good aspiring proven fast bowlers are still waiting for in the wings to get a nod to play for India, Umran Malik, overtook them and earned the Indian cap to play for the nation against

S. Africa in coming June, 2022..

He adds value to the team. I always emphasis young aspiring people to use the freedom wisely with discipline to become something which no one can do. Be a "Value added person."

Likewise even in our Christian life God has given us freedom to choose anything; freedom to do anything. He gave His only son, as a gift for us. Even after knowing the truth, Millions of Christians have forsaken the truth and not received Him, and busy with the things of the world.

Even those who profess having received Him, have yet again used the freedom for wrong cause and are enslaved to addiction of carnal works, become slaves to lustful worldly pleasures.

If Christ returns those who have used the freedom God has given faithfully to follow Him, will be caught up with Christ when He returns.

We are susceptible, wounded and hurt by our enemy, and the enemy stalls our joy and happiness..

We can live a joyful and victorious life in this turbulent world when we experience the joy of the Lord within us.

When we go nigh to the Lord, the Word of God says in the same verse, He gives us life, and life in abundance springing forth with springs of joy.

John 15:14 Jesus says, "Ye are my friends, if you do whatsoever

I command you."

Jesus is very clear, He says, "you cannot be my friend," means, you cannot have a relationship with me unless you obey me and my Words.

Anyone who does the works of Christ without being obedient is just like keeping the lamp in the open air and wind, and trying to protect the flame.

Whether you are in a mega church or small church, whether you are a big pastor in a big church or a pastor in a small church; whether you may be a influential church member or ordinary member, irrespective of caste, creed, rich or poor, big or small, God measures everyone with the same scale, "Are we obedient to Him?" Are we faithful to Him? The core truth You and I must understand and comprehend is, we can enjoy our lives every moment in praise, only when we are intimately in love with Christ by spending prime time with Him in prayer and Word, and thereby being obedient to Him.

Have you observed two people shouting against each other? Be it in a family or church or in friends circle? Whatever their feelings within are, it's boiling with hatred and so they shout against each other so loudly as if she or he is in the next Street though they are in same room. 🙂

Intimacy with Christ brings His divine nature and we imbibe His divine nature, His conduct, honesty, integrity, patience, respecting others... disliking corruption and filthy works.

Such intimate life with obedience automatically paves way for true praise and worship, and, praise becomes our lifestyle. And no sickness, no situation can stop us from praising Him. It flows from within which over powers dark forces, and anxieties of life, cripples satanic wings and witchcraft powers.

I long to worship the lord King David says.. He further says in Psalms 84 verse 10

"I'd rather be a door keeper in the house of Lord my God than to dwell in the tents of the wicked. For a day in your courts n presence is better than thousand days elsewhere."

He had a clean heart, cleansed heart without any hidden sins. Because of such holy life, we can note how deeper David's relationship with God has been, and how stronger and longing has been his relationship with the Lord.

When sin lurks in our lives we can never enjoy God's presence & worship even if we try several methods, it can only touch the feelings and emotions of people but will not touch the heart of Christ.

Our praise and worship blesses us, heals us, restores us,

when we yield ourselves totally to God in a holy, clean and worthy manner.

Then, then, worship, praise and prayers become more meaningful and blessing in our lives. We don't have to pray long prayers. "A two to three minutes short prayer with "lives surrendered" to Christ will destroy demonic powers and satanic attacks than a one hour long prayer without true repentance." - Benedict.

Happiness Disappears When We Face Severe Trials. Joy In A Child Of God Always Overflows To Praise Him Even Amidst Severe Troubles And Trials To Praise Him.

We have seen in yesterday's passage from 1st chapter, prophet Habakkuk questioned God as he was disturbed and struggles in his faith when he sees men fragrantly violate God's law and distort justice on every level, without fear of any divine intervention. The nation of Judah stubbornly refuses to change her sinful ways. The present christian world is no better.

Though he began by questioning God, he concludes his book and his life with a psalm of beautiful Praise acknowledging the Lord's divine power, His wisdom and His redemptive plan.

03: 17 to 19. Though the fig tree may not blossom, ..... And they be no herds in the stall - *Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.*

As we discussed yesterday, the name habaq means "One Who Embraces" or "Clings." So, at the end of the book, this name becomes appropriate because Habakkuk chooses to cling firmly to God regardless of what happens.

Though how we start of life and race is important, but how we are now is more important and how we end our race and life is most important.
