People face changes in life. They may get stress and anxiety due to :

1) Family conflicts and

abuse.

2) Retirement from

job or business.

3) Loss of dear ones.

4) Loneliness.

5) Sleep problems.

6) Financial concerns.

Several christian families are reeling under "family conflicts and abuse."

Some turn to drugs and alcohol to sooth family conflicts and abuse to fill the time.

Some turn to depression and fall into various sicknesses due to absence of peace and harmony in families. Diwali with lot of 'crackers & fun' - buzz and sound in high decibels we see and hear being celebrated by Hindus which falls in November mostly.

But mostly, if not all, christians celebrate diwali everyday which can be overheard by the fellow neighbouring families. Depression and despondency has become sanctuary of many christian families.

They can be high on confidence and still have depression. You can be high functioning and productive. And yet suffer from depression.

The world too is experimenting to find ways to overcome depression, including the elite, the celebraties. They could not find and so we see the day to day news in the tinsel world - 'the drug racket'. Is there a way out?

There is only one way. It's in Christ alone.

Jesus very clearly said in. John 14:06. "I am the way the truth and the life.

In John 14:27 Jesus said "My peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Only in Christ the World can find peace and not in pleasures, wealth and comforts and status. The celebrities have all these but peace.

So, If a family has Christ in the centre of their lives, and families who give importance to "family prayers" and in loving the Word of God, such families truly enjoy a 'heaven on earth'. They live peaceful lives in harmony. Blessed families indeed!! Otherwise we don't need to go to hell. Can have it right here. Choice is ours.

Mt. 5:44 : Love your enemies, bless those who hate you, and pray for those despitefully use you and persecute you...

It's much easier to say than to put it into action, candidly speaking.

It's very difficult but not impossible if you hear this true story.

There were two women who had an argument in a church meeting. One of the the women (name changed), Louis during the course of the argument behaved very harshly and hurt the other person, Evangeline.. Within one week of that incident, the woman, who behaved very harshly with Evangeline met with a severe accident and both her legs were so severely affected, doctor said, "She has to remain in the bed for at least two years."

Louis was devasted, broken and crestfallen lying in the hospital....

The next day early morning when she got up from sleep, she found in her room beautiful and attractive 'flowers bouquet,' with kind words. "Smile! You are precious! Jesus Loves you! I love you too!"

Louis was baffled, suprised and amazed to see such a kind, sweet wonderful act by someone.

It happened every day for almost for almost more than 6 months even after she was discharged and came home..

She began to change within because she saw God's divine love and kindness in the act from 'source unknown'. "It's the comfort of unknown angel" she exclaimed!

Later on when she came to know it's none other than Evangeline whom she insulted humiliated and ill treated her. She was in tears.. Tears of joy, comfort and she was strengthened.

She immediately calls for Evangeline, asks for forgiveness and says, "I behaved so rudely with you..But you repayed not with vengeance and hatred, but with supernatural compassion and kindness. You are an angel sent by God in times of grief and depression." Well, Louis repents and transforms completely.

God blessed Evangeline abundantly in her ministry and blessed her richly financially. And she became a house hold name for her true love, compassion and generosity.

In life, we all go through ups and downs. We experience joy, peace and happiness.

We also go through life's uncertainties - sorrow, grief, loss, death of loved ones, sickness, failures, abuse, setbacks, abuse, loneliness, detection, anxious moments, and constant moments of worries, fear and emptiness in life.

When life's trials weigh us down in our mental and physical lives, good news, if Christ is our Saviour and Lord, and if Christ is in the centre of our lives, we can smile even when we go through storms of lives. "With Christ in the vessel we can smile at the storm" a familiar song which is indeed true.

May the compassion of Jesus Christ heal the wearied and broken hearted.

We are to resist the devil. If we resist him, scripture says, he will flee from us. Jesus has overcome the devil by citing scriptures.

John 2: 9. When the master of the feast tasted water that was made wine and did not know where it came from..

Jesus Christ wrought this miracle without noise or ostentation. He said nothing to call attention to what he was going to do. His kingdom comes into human's heart, not with observation and show, but silently without parade. The water that is changed into wine, yet no one noticed the change made or the hand that wrought in. It is significant also that the servants which drew the water knew. Those who work with Christ faithfully into the inner chamber without showcasing to others is where His true miraculous omnipotent power is revealed and released too! Christ takes into confidence those who serve Him faithfully.

Those who truly know Christ personally and serve Him, Christ takes them into confidence. Ofttimes it is in the lowest ways and in the paths of the humble, self denying service, that most of His glory is revealed.

To give glory to God and to help the helpless lame man, Peter and John healed him without taking any credit and without advertising it, but gave all the glory to the Lord Almighty.

Ruler of the wedding was suprised and did not know from whence such good wine jas cone forth. People also will not know when these blessings have come to us, when we serve to glorify Him instead of us.
