Topic : Do Righteous Gain Anything At All??

Yes, righteous gain several blessings here on earth as well they inherit the joyful and everlasting life in heaven.

Who is called righteous??

Righteous means, to be right in a moral way, to live a good life and love and obey God's Word diligently.

If you are rich and wealthy, popular, powerful, influential and righteous too, that's a big added blessing! That adds several blessings to the existing blessings.. Amen!

But, if we If we are rich and wealthy, popular, powerful, influential and not righteous and God fearing , we will not inherit the blessings of a righteous person and our weakness will emerge. Old age ailments will bring added sorrow and our entire lives will be barren, fruitless, peaceless in the years to come..

Now, let us see the rich blessings of righteous people.

Ps 92: 12 & 13. The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree. He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of God. They shall bear fruit in old age. They shall be fresh and flourishing.

Ps 91: 10 & 11. No disaster can overtake you; no plague can come near your dwelling; for the Lord shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.

When we are righteous, fear God and look upto Him, we have blessings as per these promises;

Ps 121 :5 to 8. The Lord is your keeper. The Lord is your shade at your right hand.

The sun shall not strike you by day nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall protect you from all harm and evil. He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall protect upur going out and coming in; from this time forth and forever more.

I am with you; And will watch over you wherever you go. Amen! Gen. 28:15.

Ps 37: 25:

I was once young, indeed I am now old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread.

Topic: Never Give Up Prayer Even Amidst Painful And Difficult times!

There Are Numerous Promises In The Bible On Faith, Hope, Peace, Restoration, Comfort, And List Is Endless.

Promise And Prayer go together. There are numerous promises in the Bible on restoration, strength, comfort, hope, Joy over depression, peace over dejection, hope over anxious and dreadful moments, for deliverence and healing. And over worry, stress and the list goes on. For everything we need there are promises in His divine Word. But, yet they are not fulfilled. And we feel void, empty and fearful with scary dreams. But, when God has promised anything to us, working hard on it we can go to him and ask Him to do based on the promises in the divine Word and in His divine will. But, then, why ask when He has promised?? Asking shows faith. Asking releases faith and confidence. Asking is the acceptance on our part of what God offers based on His promises.

Moreover Word of God is very clear in Mat. 07: 07 & 8 says " Ask and ye shall receive;

For everyone who asks receives. So, ask not, and he shall not receive. So, let us find a promise for what we want or any need or issue or adversity we face and ask boldly to our Heavenly Father.

Topic: Fear Vs Faith. More Faith Means Less Fear. No Faith Means Life Is Filled With Fear Always..

There is lot of fear around during this pandemic and also we get fear of various things in our day to day lives inspite of we having everything in life.

Elijah, prophet and great man of God, who had a mountain top experience in defeating and killing all the prophets of Baal so courageously, the death threat with just one line to Elijah by a lady, Jezebal saying, "May the God's do to me so and more also if I do not make your life as the life of one of these prophets whom you killed by tomorrow.' was enough to end his life.

That threatening one line statement from a heathen lady was enough to Elijah to be discouraged and disheartened and made him so fearful, he asked the Lord that he might die. It's enough lord. Take away my life. 1 kings 19:4.

Abraham, the man of faith lied twice on different occasions to the Kings saying, Sarah is his sister, fearing threat to his life, if he says, she is his wife.

So, fear plays a vital role in everyone's life which needs to be dealt with. But, how?

FAITH flees fear automatically. Where there is faith, there is no place for fear. But, how do we build faith?

We cannot remove fear by itself but we can conquer by building up faith withing ourselves.

Can we build our faith by hearing the Word in T.V through various speakers. Certainly, but only to a certain extent it can help.

Then how to conquer it fully?

In my opinion, how much we listen in the t.v the sermons, it might help us little to overcome. But literally to conquer fear, let us read Rom. 10:17. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." So, It all boils down to our personal relationship with the Lord, and how much time we spend personally to read, understand and enjoy God's Word. John 8: 32 says, If you know the truth the truth will set us free. So, the everlasting truth is the Word of God.

Habakkuk 3:17 says, Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall be fruit in the vines, and the fields shall yield no fruit, the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no cattle in the stall, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, the God of my salvation.

Topic: "The Best Prayer Is The One Which Touches The Heart Of Christ Than Eloquent Long Prayers To Attract The Audience..

Ps. 51: 17. Broken and a contrite heart O God thou will not despise.

Even if it's the shortest pray, it's okay with the Lord. The only desire of God is that our prayers must bring glory to God. But, unfortunately it doesn't happen, lengthy prayers we hear till ego is satisfied and emotions of people are stirred up without bearing fruit..

God sees our heart. Every thought that flies through our brain is heard in heaven. God hears our wishes, heart - longings, aspirations, soul hungerings and thirstings. We should not grieve, then, even if we cannot find words in which to tell God what we want. Even if we cannot put into well defined thoughts, the hopes and hungers of our hearts. When words and even thoughts fail, we can pray in silent yearnings, in unutterable longings, and God will understand just as well if we speak even in common language. God sees our heart and not our outer eloquence to please and draw attention of people with mere empty jargons.

Much of our best praying is done when we sit at God's feet and do not speak at all, but only let our hearts talk.

When our hearts are knit in Christ, our heart speaks powerfully from within and tongue utters few words which bring blessing, healing, deliverance and glory to Jesus.

Topic : The Favour Of God, Breakthroughs And His Supernatural Blessings Do Not Come Just Like That. It's Not Any Magic Wand. We Need To Pay The Cost - Work Hard And Be Faithful To the Lord Always And Everywhere.

It's become a sought after topic "God's favour will be upon you and you'll have a breakthrough!" It's nice! But without being faithful and obedient to the Lord, it's impossible.

Death, crucifixion, burial, the cross, resurrection and redemptive salvation is of prime importance to share and preach always and everywhere.

I, Me, Prosperity and Power has to be crucified on the cross to have the true favour of God, and to have the true Peace that passeth all understanding and fruitfulness in our lives, in our families and in the society and in the churches at large.

Be it professional success or spiritual blessings from the Lord Almighty, favour of God just doesn't fall upon us once we hear the message from the preacher. We need to pay the cost. In telugu it's called, "Vella chellinchavalenu."

Shouting hallelujah several times and stiring the crowd to emotions will not bring favour nor blessings nor breakthroughs in our lives.

The favour the 'God of Joseph' gave to Joseph will come upon us when we 'pay the cost' like Joseph to be faithful always and everywhere.

God saw the heart of Joseph. The Lord knows how Joseph will say a big 'NOOO' when the sweetest temptation and biggest test will come to him.

Joseph says to beautiful Potiphar's wife in Gen. 39: 9. There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. He said, "How can I this against God??"

He paid the cost of not succumbing to the sweet momentory pleasure. In fact he was sent to prison. Immediate results might look bad. God's favour will be ultimate and final.

21st verse. But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy and he gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

With the wisdom of God Joseph interpreted Pharaoh's dreams.

To cut the story short, let us read Gen. 41: 43 & 44. And Pharaoh had Joseph ride in the second chariot... and set him over all the land of Egypt. And Pharoah said to Joseph, "I'm Pharoah and without your consent no man may lift his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt."

From a slave rose to the pinnacle of glory as the ruler of Egypt. The favours, the breakthroughs, the true blessings of success have come on Joseph because of his patience, endurance, faithfulness and obedience to the Lord Almighty.

Topic: Needless Doubts Do Not Allow God's Plan In Our Lives. Raises Unnecessary Anxieties Snubbing Our Faith.

In continuation of yesterday devotion let us read Luke 7:19. And John calling two of his disciples to him, sent to Jesus saying, "Are you the coming one, or do we look for another?"

John did not doubt the Messiahaship of Jesus that day beside Jordan, when from the cloven heavens the radiant light descended upon Jesus and the Father's voice was heard in loving approval. Nor did he doubt in any of the bright days that followed. It was only when it grew dark for John himself that he doubted.

This is just the way with many of us. When everything is bright and sunny we think we have surely found Christ, and we believe He is our friend and refuge, and our hearts are full of joy. When troubles come and sudden adversity strikes, and things begin to go against us we wonder afterall where is Christ and his help. We begin to question our own experiences. Am I saved?

If we read in St. Luke 4th chapter, we see, Jesus raised Peter's mother in law from sickness and and delivered many from demonic possessions. All disciples were Happy and glad. In the next experience when they were caught in a whirlwind storm in the centre of the sea, the same disciples who praised Jesus questioned him, saying, "Don't you care for us, we are perishing."

If we are indeed Christians, why does Christ let us suffer so much that question Him?

So how unnecessary was John's doubt. John's active work was done, and he was now to glorify God by suffering and soon by martyrdom.

Just how needless is all anxiety of all of us. We do not wish to have any earthy trials. How can a diamond shine without being polished? Christ does not carry us to heaven on flowery beds of ease and comfort. Christian life is not a bed of roses but a battle field.

John the Baptist

started off very powerfully his Christian faith and walk with the Almighty God. It was he who witnessed of Christ, and it is he himself who baptized Christ. As Jesus was approaching he told his disciples saying, "The one who is is more righteous than me whose shoes I'm not worthy to unloose."

Such was his depth of humility. We see very rarely a person praising or esteeming another person higher than himself or herself, which John the Baptist did to Jesus. We can easily identify a true righteous person. He will be always humble and grounded, giving reverence to others. Esteeming others higher... So was John. He was at the zenith of spirituality and righteousness.

But, as we know John was cast into prison, in the castle Machaerus. It certainly was not a cheerful place to be in. We ought scarcely to be astonished at sudden loss of bright faith he exhibited when he was in good times. Now he says in Mt. 11:2 & 3. Now when John heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, and said unto him, "Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

Good many people think it strange that the grand, great powerful witness of Christ, John could have really been in doubt and have questions. "It's not possible" they say, "that such great heroic man should ever waver in his confidence.

But that is always the way we think. We are amazed at every person's blindness or dullness, or unbelief, but our own, we don't. Other people's failures look very large to us, but we never see our own at all.

We can scarcely believe that John the Baptist grew despondent when his trials were so great, though most of us are often plunged into gloom by the merest trifles and issues of life.

Many of us as Christians get despairing over the loss of few pounds or kgs or a little pain, than John did in his really great trials as he was awaiting death at any moment.

"The way we respond to our toughest and darkest times or sweetest temptations that beset us in life is the gauge with which we measure the true spiritual strength of a child of God."

Topic : Which Is The Safest Place? The Safest Place In All This World Is Ever The Place Of Duty Of Obedience In Moving To Do His Divine Will.

It's the place of duty of obedience, of doing God's will. God's protective wings are over it. God's divine peace gaurds it. It is said that at the centre of the cyclone, there is a spot where there is almost perfect calm. A leaf that is scarcely stirred, and a baby would lie there unharmed. So at the centre of every great peril in life is a spot of holy calm where even the feeblest would not be harmed. As I said, it's the place of duty, of obedience, of doing the will of God. He who stays there even amidst peril and trial is perfectly safe. No storm smites him or her, no plague comes nigh his dwelling.

But he who departs from this charmed centre soon finds himself in the wild swirl and in peril. None of their sinful ways are safe.

These are the blessings for His children who are in the safest place of obedience.

The way of duty of doing His will as always a place of absolute safety. Word of God says "The Lord is my strength and my shield in Ps. 28:7.

Psalm 62 1:

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

Word of God says, "I love you, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

Gal. 6: 9 Do not be weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give up.

We all go through ups and downs in life. Our dreams shattered, sometimes our goals become challenging. We see hurts, violence and abuse at several home list piles on...

Is there a way out? The World at the right time when you are down and out will leave you, cheat you and disappoint you.

But let's cheer up! There is only one person who never gives up on you and me. There is no one more trust worthy and faithful like Jesus. Let us give them all to Jesus, and He will turn our sorrows into joy. Inspite of setbacks and failures those who persist consistently anchoring our faith in Christ will be ultimately successful.

Topic : Blessed Is The Man Who Endures Temptation” (Jam. 1:12)

We are children of God and so have been born into the family of overcomers. Every born-again child of God is an overcomer. You and I are no exception.

But many people associate overcoming with achievements....

John 1:12 says, But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the children of God.

So, The Lord gives all those the power to overcome, the day we received Him and become His children.

We are the family of Christ who infact has been an overcomer of sin, satan, situations and even conquered death. So, we too are overcomers being in His family.

Here Christ endured suffering, hardships, toil and sweat and death too before He became an overcomer.

We may be going through any hardships and shipwrecks, may be, you are in the cross roads..... Trusting Christ and striving hard diligently we too can conquer any mountain, any frontier that looks uphill task.

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good” (Ro 12:21)

“Blessed is the man who endures temptation” (Jam. 1:12)

“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good” (Ro 12:21)

Nothing becomes great until it overcomes something. If outstanding success came easy, everybody would have it. But if everybody had it, then it wouldn’t be outstanding success. How does a caterpillar develop into a butterfly? By overcoming the cocoon. Would it be easier to stay in the comfort of the cocoon? Some days the struggle is so great that the caterpillar probably thinks so to give up. But the price of freedom, flight, and discovery, is struggle, development, and breakthrough. There is no other way. Why did Jesus send His disciples into the storm on the Sea of Galilee? To teach them to trust Him in every situation of life. Soon He will be leaving them.....
