Topic : Advent, A Time For Introspection And Proclamation Of Good News Of Hope Peace And Joy."

Advent means, as most of us know "period begining four Sundays before Christmas " "Start of another new Christmas season." It means,

It's time for sincere introspection and ;

1) "declaring with our mouth and lives the hope in Christ to those who are yet in darkness;

2) Jesus Christ, The 'Prince of Peace' to the world, where the world is in quest for peace...

3) Love - declaring the pure, gentle and kind love Of Christ to the perishing mankind ;

4) and last but not the least, not just sending Christmas posts and relaxing; but to sincerely introspect whether we have allowed Christ to grow within, mean grown in the divine nature depicting the qualities of Christ - love, patience, long-suffering, gentleness, unselfishness, or truly examine

Or check for ourselves, if we have allowed to grow anger, selfishness, envy, hatred, unholy thoughts. It's for us to mirror and see and evaluate before the mirror of the Word of God.

If we have grown it's marvelous indeed. And time to praise God and still grower higher and deeper.

If we have not, but lost our name in petty fights, arguments, venting often anger, jealousy, violence... no peace, then we need not give up hope.

Season of advent time - to rise and renew afresh. Otherwise this advent and Christmas just passes away with routine rituals and celebrations outside of Christ. So, a clear rededication at the start of advent really blesses us, and in turn we will be a blessing to others.

Here is one prophecy of Old testament. ;

Isia 7 :14. Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Emmanuel.

(Which means "God with us.") ....

Topic : Train up the child in a way that he should go, and when he is old - He will not depart from it. Prov. 22:6

Anyone be it a parent, a pastor, a sunday school teacher or a leader who desires to train someone or an Organisation in a right way - we need to comply with three points.

1) We need to know the way.

2) Need to walk that way.

3) Then we need to show the way.

Jesus said in St. John 14:6. I am the Way...

We might have observed in few families, children love the parents, respect parents, obey parents and these families live a joyful fruitful and peaceful lives. Here respect is earned by parents because of their godly and dignified lives they live. Children watch and grow in that atmosphere.

But, in most of the families, children are rebellious, violent, ungodly and they neither respect parents nor obey them. In this case lot of instructions and advises are given to children without they themselves practicing them.

There are few families children seldom see parents spending time with the Lord. But they instruct children to read the Bible and pray daily. We, parents cannot get respect by commanding, it needs to be earned.

Walk The Talk! is the need of the hour in families by parents, and leaders and pastors in churches.

Let us watch the video and observe that children do exactly what the father and mother do and not what they say or instruct.

God gives us several opportunities. How we use them shapes our lives. Absalom, King David's son had power and authority. His pride and heeding to wrong advise, rebels, revolts and attacks his own father King David. He has to meet death in a bitter way destroying his own life by bad, wicked and pride deeds.

Her adversaries have become rulers. her enemies relax. Certainly the Lord caused her grief because of her many many wrong acts. Her children have gone away, captive...

The very Human nature is proud and jealous unless there is geniune rebirth in Christ. We then find such true 'Christ living beautiful Christians' who are contagious exhibiting amazing amazing love, true kindness and visible humility of Christ. But, there are very very few in this world. In the churches we find honestly very few. More activities less and less of Christ in behaviour and conduct.

Human tendency right from Adam, 'What God wants us not to do we often do.' Similarly what parents tell children not to do they do. The result? It may not be immediate but consequences come in the years to come.......

We too need at regular intervals "shock treatment" from above now and then.

Human being too, is so arrogant, especially when they have everything in life. Even if they have little name it's enough to keep one leg up above the ground. Thank God for

centre of gravity! Otherwise we can see human being keeping his both legs in the air.

Most of us let me emphasis and say are exactly like that seven year old boy one time or the other. And even now. We are no better. We ralax keeping God far away though we are Christians. When our lives are coming apart, when we are unable to endure suffering, we then cry out, "Why is God doing this to me? Why is God punishing me.

There are times when God allows His people grief because of the wrong acts. In most of the human beings, God keeps some lack in life. It could be financial, or sickness, family not settled... 24x7 relationship problems, lack of peace, list goes on. God allows such suffering and trials to break our arrogance, our pride, our disrespecting others.

If no storm as such has come in our lives thus far... and we continue to be rude, arrogant, disrespecting others, rebellious to God, giving time to unholy thoughts and works, let us be warned by the Word of God, that there can be storm or severe trials.

We must therefore be vigilant every hour to live trustworthy life before Christ.

We must also understand that sometimes to some, suffering may not be a result of our sin. It can be a test. Then, we need to be faithful to the Lord amidst trials..

Everyone might have gone through storms of life or going through trials. These storms can be severe and unbearable, unspoken. If we surender our lives to Christ, Word of God says in John 26:34 says, "In this world you will have tribulations. Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

As we repent and surender ourselves, may this song bless our hearts and strengthen and comfort us.

Daniel 01: 05. And the king appointed for them a daily provision of kings delicacies and of the wine which he drank, and three years of training for them.

08th verse. But, Daniel proposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king's delicacies nor the wine which he drank....

There is tremendous power in this word "No" when it is spoken resolutely and courageously without falling into sweet momentory pleasures. It has often been like the giant rock by the sea as it had encountered and hurled back the mighty waves of temptation. It is the majestic power, the power to say "No" to everything that is not right and divine. Whatever is wrong we must meet with a strong, firm, uncompromising *No." But often times we see millions of young people all over the world fall to this sweet loaf of temptation, not understanding it's just a momentory pleasure, but in the end, brings misery and destruction to their own lives.

Daniel when he was offered the best of the wine and food at the very king's table, he forsook the wine and tempting food. How about young generation of these days??

2 Tim. 4 : 5. But you be watchful in all things. Endure afflictions..

Rom. 12:12. Rejoice in hope. Be patient in tribulation.

An English prisoner was suffering from persecution for sharing the gospel. He was cheered one hour each day by a little spot of sunshine on his prison dungeon wall.

Through a grating high up, the sun's rays streamed down for this little time of one hour or so. He found on his prison cell, an old iron nail and a stone. And with these rude impediments, he cut upon the wall a beautiful image of Christ hung upon His cross, while the sunlight lays there

Thus instead of bemoaning, he mastered his misfortune, getting blessing out of it. And blessing to others. Everyone who went to the cell after committing a crime were able to the glimpse of Christ and His love in the beautifully crafted image.

The incidence has a lesson for us all. Whatever disaster or calamity that builds a dungeon wall around us, never let despair and disillusionment lay it's chilly hands upon us. Never yield to the gloom. Let us never let the darkness into our souls. There is no dungeon so deep and dark in the chilling room of affliction and gloom that can stop the rays of God's love stream. In the light of these, fashion a new beauty on our soul.

We need to carve the on the wall of our hearts, the image of Christ which inspires others.

Conquered calamity becomes our helper, and leaves beauty on our soul.

We are indeed blessed by the lives of several great servants of God who served the Lord faithfully and went to be with the Lord. One is, Bro. Joshi of Vishwavani.

On 13th, well respected, blessed and popular retired Sr. Pastor and Presbyterian incharge of CSI Diocese, Rev. B.D Prem Sagar Ayyagaru slept in the Lord! He also played an active role in the CSI Diocese in various capacities.

Rev. B.D. Premsagar Ayyagaru has been very humble, gentle and one who fears the Lord. He is my friend's B.I.L.

I was blessed to be associated with him in two 'wedding / Holy Matrimony solemnisations' Having such a vast experience and great servant of God, in one of the weddings

he humbled himself to offer me to preach the Word of God in the wedding.

Today it's time we all need to recall the blessings of such many righteous and our loved ones who went to be with the Lord!

When our loved are there in this world with us, be it our pastors, or mentors or evangelists or can be our own family members or relatives, be it a father, or mother, husband or wife or our siblings, or our own uncle, or aunty, or among our known Christian circles - often, and often we utterly fail to appreciate them or share with them as 'how they were a great blessing to us.'

We often times are ungreatful to them. We seldom reciprocate that love, that kindness, that reverence they deserve and appreciation for what they have done in our lives.

Then, we regret later for being so ungreatful or being so unthankful to them. After their death we see and find so many garlands on the dead body. And so many tributes pour in from the families or ministries and social circles. When they are alive seldom anyone neither talks to them nor appreciate their good works. Because we lack humility. We speak mostly good and great about them after they die and leave the world. And nothing worth we speak when they are alive. Instead some treat them harshly too not realising the sacrifice they have done, especially we see it happens in families and social circles..

Human behaviour is such, unless people live in supernatural mean I mean - 'In Christ' testifying Christ, gratitude and appreciation and esteeming others and respecting others will be difficult to find.

That's why this quote has become so popular because of its reality. "Dead people receive more flowers than the living ones because regret is stronger than gratitude." - Anonymous.

How true it is!!

I had a very close and God fearing friend who had great 'Christ like qualities' and had a very good name in Christian circles.

Unfortunately though he has been a gem as a human and as a witness for Christ, nobody cared him and many ignored him when he was alive. Understanding his situation, the Lord gave the grace to stand with him and encourage him. When he died so many in Christian circles who ingnored him came to pay tributes.

How true it is indeed! Often it happens -

"Those who are rich in Christ are often ignored and treated like fools in this world. Even Christ was ignored by majority - Pharisees and Saducees. Even Joseph was ignored by his brothers. Because of my friend's submissive life, humbleness like Christ, he was ignored by most and only few acknowledged His witnessing life. When he died, many who ignored him paid tributes...
