2 Tim. 01: 05. I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in thee which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lo-is, and thy mother Eunice. No wonder Timothy was used of God in a strong way in the early church.

The faith and prayers of mothers can have a profound impact on the lives of the children in all fronts be it - education, name in the society, joy and peace in the family and victory over evil and wicked tricks of the devil.

A prayerful mother is the greatest gift any family can afford as prayer alone can build the family to prosperity and give a secured life to the family.

There are numerous examples of praying mothers whose families prospered....

Imagine this mother's delight when her college -bound daughter leaving her home to study abroad would be easier, because she knew that her mother would pray for her without ceasing.

Ps. 112:6. Righteous shall be in everlasting rememberance.

Today's devotion is dedicated to all of our loved ones who lost their lives. And also several God's righteous servants who lost their precious lives and their children.

No one can escape death. You may be the strongest person like "Alexander the great" who conquered the world who had power, position and fame. You may be one of the richest person like Dhirubhai Ambani. You might be one of the greatest administrators like Abraham Lincoln.

Well, death is a certainty. It's no respector of any person irrespective of rich, poor, strong, healthy and weak. We all have to leave this world one day.

But, for those of us Christians, who have received Christ, we do not have to be scared or worried of death. This is not the end of life. But, it's the begining of new life where there is no pain, no suffering, no humiliations, no more ventilators needed as one God servant put it. But everlasting peace and joy.

Of all fears that plague the heart of a man, none is greater than the fear of death.

Rick Warren, pastor of saddle back church once said, "life is preparation for eternity. We were not made to last forever.. One day my heart is going to stop, and, that will be the end of my body, but, NOT THE END OF ME."

A tribute to the bereaved families:

....... One of the earliest words of God in the book of Genesis is that it is not good for man to be alone. You might be surprised if if I say it's really good to be alone for sometime daily to move away from this loud, evasive and distracting world to be connected alone with Lord to lean upon him, to wait upon Him, to share with Him our shattered dreams, our secret unspoken storms we go through. Jesus too often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. Luke 5:16. Ss believers in Christ, we can take heart thath we are never alone. But He sometimes allows seasons of loneliness to prune us for the next steps of our journey.
