Race Day Verstappen out on Lap 3 due to a sticking right-rear caliper VER had complaining about the car being loose all race, up to that point Last Verstappen DNF was Australia ‘22 VER’s DNF triggered a rash of early pits All the soft tire starters took hards, BOT’s pit woes continue Lewis DNF on Lap 16, to a PU failure brought by an oiling issue This brings out a VSC → Alonso basically getting a free pit stop Last lap shenanigans from Alonso → copped a +20s penalty for “potentially dangerous driving” Based on telemetry data from previous laps, Alonso was going significantly slower Combination of overspeed and dirty air caused RUS to have a colossal accident Ferrari 1-2! Carlos P1 - Charles P2 → Lando rounds out the podium Haas double points! → HUL P9, MAG P10 Albon P11 → causing a lot of folks to ask what was the point of the chassis swap Albon: “We need these races when you have three [cars] of the top teams retiring.
