God is already doing a new thing. He gives you the choice to perceive it and partner with Him. The partnership is about your perception. Perception is how you think about what you are thinking about. It is developed out of what you believe, past experiences, culture, environment, etc. To perceive what God is doing, our perception must be influenced by God. Fear, misunderstanding God’s heart, and victimhood mess with perception and prevent people from stepping into the new thing […]

Fear talks people out of their calling. (Calling is obedience to God’s ordering of your steps) Fear talks people into doing crazy things. The Lord tells you to do something…and then fear stops you. A lot of times what happens is, as God begins to move and as fire in His house begins to stir, we are stewarding it really well…and it gets so comfortable. We are in God’s presence, growing in our prayer life, learning the Word, moving in the power of Holy Spirit with each other, and praying in church with words of prophecy going out…but what happens is we get comfortable and tempted to stay in the house. Our commission is […]

What can we learn from the book of Jonah? When God calls His Prophet to an assignment, it is expected for the Prophet to hesitate and feel a bit unqualified. This hesitancy is what will cause us to lean into God to accomplish His call. Jonah responded by running the other way and finding himself going lower and lower. God was at work, pointing the way to Jesus all the while and working His call into fruition. The story of […]

Our imagination can be our greatest strength or our greatest weakness. If you continue to imagine and picture yourself as someone who has no hope, you will probably remain in that state. Can you imagine yourself writing a huge check that brings funding to something that God is doing? Pastor Jacob teaches us to understand faith and why it is the substance of things hoped and the evidence of things unseen.
