You probably would have a much easier time of it if you'd quit preaching about homosexuality and abortion! My Pastor never preaches about those things! Complaining won't bring blessings! The turning away from God's structure for the home and manhood and womanhood! How we are slapping God in the face!

Over the years I have heard people say that the reason someone did not trust Christ is they thought just saying prayer was too easy. Well first of all it's not "just" saying a prayer and we'll talk about that today BUT "easy?" not for God and certainly not for Jesus! 

I encourage you to read Proverbs 24:10-13! 450 children will die today of "un-natural causes!" Your news will tell of the deaths by suicide, overdoses, crime and etc. Many will shake their heads in dismay and say how terrible that is BUT---not be willing to send an email or make a call or tell someone personally the hope can only be found in Jesus Christ! Our job is to try!

If the ONLY hope for a hopeless life is Jesus---and He is! Then someone has to carry that message and give that person hope! And that is us! Far to many have the attitude "let George do it"---well George isn't doing it and those who think keeping their head down and not saying anything will win have forgotten someday we will face Him and give an account even for our every idle word!

I am sure most would say they agree THE only hope for our children is Jesus Christ BUT I wonder how many really really believe that! No question our children are in trouble 45% in a recent survey said they were seriously depressed and felt hopeless---1*% seriously have considered suicide and 9% have tried it---yet Jesus stands at the door just waiting!

A young Pastor's wife asks what she can do to "pick her husband up"---he's discouraged over some gossip in his church! A young mother of a 7 year old girl and a 10 year old boy asks what she can do to fight the wickedness around her children! A lady goes to church on-line and asks if that is ok?

Though we know very little about Joseph and he never speaks in the Bible his life speaks legions! We are told he is a "just" man and we know he was a man of character who obviously loved Mary. He was chase in his actions towards her AND he was the hand picked man out of all mankind to raise the Son of God!

Most people treat Joseph as an incidental part of the Christmas story but he is anything but that! God chose him as much as He chose Mary and the role Joseph plays in the Bethlehem story can not be underestimated! He did right because it was right to do and never worried about the fallout. Today we look at his character!

The days in which we live demand that we be people of character. We are called to stand, proclaim and let our light shine for Him! This is our time and these are our children, families and lands! One of the men who displayed real character in the Word is Joseph!

Little attention is paid to Joseph in the Christmas story BUT had he not done the right thing! He never says anything in all of scripture but his actions speak legions about God's plan. Over the next days we are going to look at the great example he should be to all of us of one who didn't take the easy way out!
