Tio Louie talks to us about growing up and teaching in the Bronx, about being a documentary filmmaker and the network of Latino artists he's created thru Prime Latino Media. We also talked about the diaspora and its input in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria thru Puerto Rico. The music throughout the episode and the ñapita musical is composed by Richard Martinez.

I had the opportunity to visit Chef King Phojanakong at the Institute of Culinary Education by Battery Park City, where he teaches, to talk about food, becoming a Chef, growing up and living in New York City. He shared his passion for adobo and his Thai and Filipino influences. We also shared some personal stories regarding depression and suicide, in the wake of Anthony Bourdain's passing. I learned of his many careers and interests throughout the years and we even discover his other passion, music and include some of his compositions throughout the episode and in the ñapita musical.

Español. I met with Maria Luisa Ernst in the West Village to talk about her interest in making this documentary, and her personal experience with the disappearance of her uncle back in the 1970's in Argentina.

After an absence of almost 6 months, I returned to Puerto Rico to work, get together with friends and family, get some sun and dance salsa. Though, Waldemar is one of my favorite dance partners, we didnt get together on the dance floor, instead, we met up at Panaderia Espana to talk about his background and some of his experiences, his work with Dragonfly Group and to talk about various life concepts and abundance.

I took the subway to Brooklyn to meet up with Patricia Melogia, a musician, singer and now docmentary filmmaker, to have a conversation. We were joined by another musician, Jonathan Pence, a drummer, and talked about being a working musician, about coming to the NYC/PA area after Hurricane Maria. We talked about gentrification and colonization, about high rents and even cockroaches. It was a fun, friendly conversation about society from the perspective of Berklee College of Music graduates.

And the icing on the cake in this episode was Melogia taking out her guitar and singing Calma, a song she composed during the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
