Dustin opens the show with a startling admission. The guys jump into the nitty-gritty of file structure, media archiving and organization - a topic they were supposed to discuss a while back. Three whiskeys later Michael and Dustin tackle “cancel culture” and talk about Dustin’s quirks, but not without bashing a couple other people in the process. We learn a little more about Dustin’s family, his mother in particular. The guys wrap up the pod with celebrity-crush talk and more banter about Dustin’s wife.

The guys open the show with a little knife talk. Nothing like a little blade banter to start your day. Michael does an unboxing of a used camera he bought for super cheap from Lens Authority. This leads to a conversation about color matching cameras that only have slight differences and how much of a pain it can be. Dustin grills Michael about his desire to have 5, Pocket 4K cameras. The guys toy with the idea of going to NAB 2020 and Dustin gives his take on the event and best days to attend. The guys then get into features they wish the BMPCC4K would adopt, and the common obsession with RED cameras amongst videographers. Michael asks whether or not RED cameras are actually worth their price, when other camera manufacturers are making similar cameras at a much lower cost. Dustin talks IR cut and OLEP filters. Michael does his Trump impression and Dustin crowns himself the “protector of highlights”. Dustin’s wife then swings by to “get a drink from the fridge”.  Dustin tries to convince Michael to get in to the filter manufacturing game. Before you know it, the VideoBros find themselves in the midst of a real-life videographer beef local to Colorado. They end the pod by teasing the topic they were originally going to address in this episode.

The guys open the show discussing whether filming on certain days of the week should cost more or less and why Dustin may have to stop peeing out the piss window. After breaking to grab a couple of whiskeys, the guys discuss their looks, and a time in life when Dustin worked as an assistant to the regional mall Santa. Eventually the conversation turns to Dustin’s love of movies and the ideal home theater experience. Afterwards, they discuss the new editing headphones they’ve picked up and difference between the open and closed back styles. Before wrapping, Michael breaks Dustin’s brain with an interesting fact about New Jersey gas stations and Dustin challenges Michael to a game of chess. If you think the show’s over, think again! The guys open the show with some bullshit that no one actually cares about. Dustin says “breathtaking” at one point and they move on to more pressing topics. After the initial opening remarks, they chat about their picture styles… the videography styles they are into… their favorite lenses, etc. Michael talks about buying new gear (storage, computers, cameras) and making the transition to entry level cinema cameras after filming on DSLR’s for almost a decade. Michael receives an email during the podcast regarding how to host a video that will be emailed to 10,000+ people in a fan-club.  Michael then spends a couple minutes bashing Vimeo and their “chapters” feature. The guys talk about ProRes proxy and whether the BMPCC4K is worth fussing with at weddings. After that Dustin asks Michael what gear he’s going to buy next. They pour a couple drinks and talk about interns and the terrible experiences they’ve had with them, including a lawsuit that Dustin had filed against him. They hit on the concept of “reels” and why they are worthless, and eventually wrap up with some more personal shit and how lots of people expect creative video work to be free.

Michael and Dustin open the show with some shout-outs to the most ubiquitous sponsors of podcasts.  They spend a bit of time discussing their favorite Youtube personalities and the impact of rolling shutter on handheld filming and why Aputure makes some of the best lights for the money.  After some more chit chat about YouTube personalities you should definitely check out… they slam the titles that said YouTubers give their videos.  Michael and Dustin zero in on one YouTuber who is challenging RED Digital Cinema on the quality of their products and why RED is way overpriced.  Dustin then gives major props to another YouTuber with a show about drinking and one named Daniel Schiffer, who really makes some incredible videos with handheld shots. They then turn the conversation towards whether it makes sense to give away all your filming secrets for free. The guys take a break to talk abut Dustin’s glasses that he bought from Warby Parker, and their thinning hairlines. After that, they move on to more pressing topics… like how Dustin allocates his time during an edit.  They wrap the show by talking about Dustin’s real calling.

Michael and Dustin open the show with a discussion about movies and Dustin makes an embarrassing admission about both his Netflix subscription and an odd contraption that he keeps in his basement. The conversation turns back to baseball movies and the weird storylines in family movies that seemed perfectly acceptable in the 1990’s. Dustin then proposes the idea of forcing his kids to follow in his videographer footsteps while simultaneously questioning his own life path. The guys talk about drinking on shoot days and their worst client experiences. Before wrapping up the guys discuss filming their families, how much they do it, and the idea of filming video of other people’s vacation. Instead of wrapping up, Michael reveals the celebrity who’s Dustin’s voice is a dead ringer for. Then they start to wrap the show with wife talk, and other domesticated chit chat. Michael tells a story about a list he made that got him into a lot of trouble with his wife, Kate and Dustin tells a story about an interaction he had with Kate.

The guys open the show talking about Dustin’s fear of being criticized for saying something he shouldn’t on the podcast and how criticism in general takes an emotional toll on him.  Dustin finally tells the story of his argument with a photographer at a wedding shoot.  The conversation turns to archiving and how one of Michael’s clients shipped a very large box of hard drives and archive material to Michael to use in a project, and Dustin tries to give Michael some advice on how to proceed.  They touch on NAS systems, raid drives, naming conventions and tell tales of past projects gone awry because of disorganized archives.

After Michael is startled awake near the end of Dustin’s long-winded origin story, they ultimately decide to let Dustin talk more about his life and wrap the show.

Dustin opens the first podcast with a story about his sister-in-law calling him by the wrong name at his wedding.  He goes on to talk about how much his wife hated the wedding video that Michael made for them.  The guys then get into talking about their ideal camera setup under $25k and get into a debate about RAW.  The guys then discuss whether they will swear in the podcast and talk about Dustin’s living conditions, his dead dog, and the show basically goes downhill from there. But don't worry... it gets better.  The guys talk about creating videos for a living, Blackmagic Pocket 4K cameras, and Dustin tells a long story about this one time when he was lighting a scene.  The show still isn’t over.  Dustin hates on Canon and Michael defends the 1DX Mark III.
