  • Viewpoint Presents with Malcolm and Michael Johns returns for Episode Five as this past week's unremarkable and toxic four-day Democratic National Convention comes to a close and as the pandemic and street violence continue to prove nationally disruptive. Malcolm and Michael tackle three pressing issues this week: The failure of Democrats to offer much detail to their radical policy proposals or inspire the nation in four consecutive days of prime time national coverage of their convention; a number of important questions that media should be presenting to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris--and, unsurprisingly, aren't; and the revelation in recent weeks that several publicly-traded companies have made tens of millions of dollars in financial contributions to the violent, Marxist organization behind over two months of street violence that has now inflicted hundreds of millions of dollars in vandalistic damage to America's cities.

DNC's Negativity | Malcolm and Michael discuss this past week's Democratic National Convention, concluding that its speakers appeared to consciously avoid discussing their radical and dangerous policy proposals in much detail and appeared also to seek to diminish the visibility of their presidential nominee, Joe Biden, whose 47-year career at the highest levels of American government appears both unremarkable and self-enriching. Additionally, Democrats appear conscious that Biden's mental acuity likely is a major issue as it relates to his preparedness for the world's most difficult job, which might have been a factor in not featuring him more prominently.

Instead of highlighting their nominee's or describing their vision for America's future in much detail, Democrats instead used the convention to point fingers at President Trump, wrongly assigning blame to him for the coronavirus that originated in Wuhan, China and for the street violence being condoned and even encouraged by Democratic mayors across the country. The good news for Trump's reelection prospects is that the Democrats' convention ended with Trump's approval rate at 51 percent, according to Rasmussen polling, up several points from the weeks before. Additionally, while Biden leads in national polling, those who intend to vote for him continue to lack deep enthusiasm for his candidacy--and 59 percent of Americans believe that he is not likely to complete a full four-year presidential term, raising deep national concerns about his suitability for the world's most difficult job.

Questions for Biden | Malcolm and Michael observe that the mainstream media are not pressing Biden on key questions that should be asked. Biden opposed Trump's January 31 travel ban on China, for instance, which kept coronavirus-infected Chinese citizens out of the country. If not on January 31, when would Biden have enacted such a travel ban? Biden intends to raise $4 trillion in taxes on 80 percent of American citizens. How will raising taxes on American workers and leaving them with less disposable income create new jobs or raise wages? Biden essentially has no plan to secure our southern border, which means the number of illegal immigrants in the U.S. will likely grow considerably from its already burdening current levels of 11 million. Is there any point--30 million, 40 million, 50 million--at which Biden believes the number of illegal immigrants in the country poses a burden and risk? Biden's first stab at healthcare reform during Obama's term was largely deemed a colossal failure, resulting in millions of Americans losing their private insurance plans and offering a mandated public plan whose deductibles and premiums were cost prohibitive. Why should he be trusted again with Americans' healthcare?

These and other questions should be presented to Biden, but mainstream media continues to employ double standards in their coverage of the presidential campaign, covering Trump in consistently critical ways and...

Mask Mandate, Treating Covid and Political Posturing | Socialist Democrat Presidential Candidate Joe Biden says: "Every single American should be wearing a mask when they're outside for the next three months, at a minimum, Every governor should mandate mandatory mask-wearing. The estimates by the experts are it will save over 40,000 lives.” Can the mask mandate stop the spread of the virus? What are the benefits if every American did mask up? There are now even more calls for another national lockdown as the media pushes their election strategy narrative. Some physicians believe that the denial of early treatment (HCQ and others) could effectively end the pandemic. Is this the “new normal” and an attempt to constrain freedom.

  • Viewpoint Presents with Malcolm and Michael Johns returns for Episode Four with a fiery and yet detailed assessment of all that's at stake in this November's hugely important presidential and Congressional elections, including economic freedom, the enforcement of the rule of law, and whether or not America makes the mistake of taking a possibly irreversible leap into a socialist future. They also explain the political motives of those behind the pandemic and street riots, and what Americans can do to ensure its liberties and founding principles are defended.

    2020 Stakes

Malcolm and Michael take a very detailed look at the stakes in this November's presidential and Congressional elections, including whether we would even recognize America under a Biden/Harris administration. They assess the fiscal, social, and national security policies that Biden would likely implement, including likely increasing taxes on the middle class, vastly increasing the federal government's role in the economy, possibly cutting Medicare and Social Security benefits for the elderly, doing nothing to secure our nation's southern border, getting the United States back into hugely flawed global agreements and entanglements, and leading America into a possibly irreversible state of national decline and socialism.

Communist China and the Radical Left's Tactics

The two major current crises confronting America, the coronavirus pandemic and street anarchy, both have political origins that are designed to diminish Trump's popularity and distract American voters from his vast accomplishments between his January 2017 inauguration and the pandemic's onset.

Yet, the strategy may backfire. The American people increasingly recognize that Communist China holds full responsibility for releasing the pandemic and that the street riots are a product of far-left Democrat mayors refusing for political motives to enforce the rule of law. President Trump, on more careful evaluation, is the solution to these two national crises, not the cause of them. It's Trump, not Biden, who would hold China accountable and uphold the rule of law while Biden would refuse to stand up to China or Democrats' embrace of anarchy on our city streets.

    Our National Predicament

America is now at the crossroads. The decision confronting voters this November is whether, in electing President Trump, it will maintain its national identity and global greatness or whether, in electing Biden, it will take a likely irreversible leap into a globalist, socialist future that surrenders America's founding values and sovereignty to a future of big government, high taxes, and globalism.

How did we find ourselves so close to potentially losing our nation's exceptional founding values? America's conservative and liberty-minded movement for the last few decades has been large but poorly led. Conservatives have largely won the battle of ideas, but they have failed to communicate or organize in the ways necessary to turn these important intellectual victories into vital political and public policy victories. The result is that younger generations now see socialism as a reasonable and even desirable future--and America's founding principles are eroding.

Not all hope is lost, however. Beginning with its 2009 founding, the Tea Party movement demonstrated how grassroots Americans can organize in support of liberty-minded values and win even the biggest of political and public policy battles. Absent the Tea Party movement, Obama likely would have succeeded in his goal of "fundamentally transforming" our nation. Instead, his eight year presidency changed little. The Tea Party movement won the U.S. House in 2010, blocking Obama's legislative agenda, and then went on to win the U.S. Senate in 2014, and pave the way for Donald Trump to run and win a populist,

Crime Escalates - The War on Cops Continues | Citizens in Chicago have already shot 2,359 and murdered 417 in acts of gun violence. A whopping 95% of all people of color in Chicago are shot/killed, not by “racist” police, but by other persons of color! In fact, so far this year, twice as many people of color in the city have been shot/killed by other people of color in acts of justifiable self-defense than by police! This is a narrative that is playing out across the nation in America’s greatest cities. The Police Executive Research Forum surveyed four cities across the country and found that crime rates in Indianapolis, Milwaukee, New York and Las Vegas have spiked since the reopening of the country -- a fact that law enforcement leaders feared.

Media Reporting on Joe Biden Questioned | Democrat Presidential Candidate Joe Biden got the attention he probably wasn’t looking for when he made the following comments: “Unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things,” said Biden. No Apology - But Biden did walk the statement back: “Earlier today, I made some comments about diversity in the African American and Latino communities that I want to clarify,” Biden wrote. “In no way did I mean to suggest the African American community is a monolith—not by identity, not on issues, not at all.”

  • Viewpoint Presents with Malcolm and Michael Johns returns for Episode Three with a look at the pressing political and public policy developments of the week, including the challenges associated with a presidential campaign that is unfolding in the midst of a national pandemic, a flashback to President Trump's pre-pandemic accomplishments from January 2017 until the pandemic's early 2020 onset, and new legislation by U.S. Senator Rand Paul that will afford students flexibility in how U.S. federal education funding is distributed and utilized.

Election 2020 | The 2020 presidential campaign is unfolding like no other. The current pandemic is permitting presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden to largely escape the media and national scrutiny that a presidential candidate typically would encounter. This is proving somewhat beneficial to Biden since his misstatements are going largely unscrutinized and the lack of enthusiasm for his candidacy is less obvious than it would be in a more conventional setting. Additionally, both parties' conventions will now be substantially downgraded without the typical indoor stadium crowds and excitement that typically has been associated with them. Also, three presidential debates and one vice presidential debate have now been scheduled, but are they enough and should they be moved up given the schedule of early voting in some states?

Trump's Pre-Coronavirus Accomplishments | With the pandemic, January 2020 now seems like a long time ago. But President Trump accomplished quite a bit between taking office in January 2017 and the pandemic's onset, including the largest tax reform and relief in thirty years, substantial easing of burdensome federal regulations, the U.S.'s removal from the flawed Iran and Paris environmental agreements, progress on resolving the previously neglected crisis of illegal immigration, and substantial accomplishments in contronting the unfair and illegal trade practices of China and other nations. The result, it is now easy to forget, was notable: President Trump created over seven million jobs in three years and drove U.S. unemployment to its lowest level in half a century. He also had the country's wages and gross domestic product (GDP) headed upwards.

Senator Rand Paul's Innovative Education Bill | Despite the partisan divide in Washington, D.C., U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has offered a very creative new piece of education legislation that would empower students and afford students flexibility in how federal education funds are used, including opening the opportunity for these funds to be used by students for private schooling, homeschooling, tutoring, or other educational endeavors. Choice in goods and products has proven beneficial to consumers--and education is no different. With students learning at different paces and in different ways, a truly exceptional U.S. educational system must offer flexibility and options, which means that funding should be directed at the needs of individual students, not a monolithic, one size fits all public education system.

It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???” There are several big factors that will have a major impact on the November election. 1. How the President has handled the pandemic? 2. Who will they blame for the violence and civil unrest? 3. Our relationship with China. 4. The economy - will Americans remember the Trump economy before the virus?

John Lewis of Georgia dead at 80 - Lewis was first elected to Congress in 1986 and served for 17 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives. Lewis himself had one final message in the form of a letter to the nation that was published by The New York Times Thursday morning. Herman Cain, former Republican presidential candidate and former CEO of a major pizza chain - Businessman Extraordinaire, died from complications from the coronavirus. He was 74.

Good news for Trump | Rasmussen approval at 50%, voters blaming Dems for street violence and China for coronavirus. The level of misinformation and lies from media outlets attempting to convince people of political narratives that are simply untrue is perhaps the biggest challenge for the Trump Campaign.

COVID-19 and #Election2020 | The colliding forces of the ongoing Coronavirus China Virus and the General Election are creating a most unusual campaign for both President Trump and Former VP Joe Biden. It has become the tale of blue state/red state methodologies in how states reopen - depending on whether you want a second term for President Trump, or can’t wait for his exit from the White House. • In this inaugural episode of Viewpoint Presents, Malcolm and Michael Johns launch the program with analysis on three key news stories of the week: The 2020 U.S. presidential election, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, questions about its origin and errors in statistical over-reporting of it, and ongoing concerns about China's aggressive behavior at home and abroad.

Encouraging News for President Trump's Reelection Prospects - First, the American people, by a five point margin, continue to believe Trump is better positioned to manage the economy successfully than his opponent, former Vice President Biden. There is a significant enthusiasm gap between the two candidates with Trump voters much more enthusiastic in their support for him than Biden supporters are for their candidate. This significant gap likely will impact voter turnout in Trump's favor this November.

Reporting Errors in Coronavirus - The number of cases and deaths attributable to coronavirus in the U.S. is likely lower than officially reported. The fact that some coronavirus-positive patients were tested repeatedly with each positive test reported to central databases and that some facilities, including a good number in Florida, were only reporting positive cases, which drove up positive case percentage findings. The U.S. has now conducted roughly 52 million tests and contends that positive findings will inevitably rise because the U.S. is testing at a vast and fast-growing pace.

The Communist Party of China's Malicious Activities - The burning of documents by China's Houston consulate personnel and the efforts by its San Francisco consulate to hide and protect a Chinese university professor sought by U.S. federal authorities, further rocks the relationship between China and the US. In addition to the massive human rights violations of the Uyghurs in China's Xinjiang province by China's Communist government and the broader ramifications of such atrocious human rights violations.
