God calls us to uncalled for generosity. In this message we’ll consider the example of an overlooked biblical hero, who rescued a child because she refused to look away from the urgent need.

Justification is what God did for us. But sanctification is what God does with us, as we live in response to Him.

Justification isn’t misunderstood, as much as it is under-understood. We tend to teach it and believe it to a certain point, but after that it gets a bit overwhelming…. not because it’s complicated, or hard to understand, but because it just seems too good to be true.

A.W. Tozer wrote, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” If that’s even partially true then it’s worth asking ourselves what we, in our heart of hearts, believe that God is like. Isaiah 42:1-4 can help us see him more clearly.

Maybe what we need most in the wake of a really difficult year is a grid to help us begin to process and respond to racially motivated events, crimes and comments in light of the gospel.

In God’s economy, there is no correlation between worth and net worth. None of us want to label people based on something as superficial as income, but in a society that’s constantly making comparisons and ranking people based on money, that mindset can subtly work it’s way in.
