February 16: Week 3: Cain and Abel: The Battle Within
In Genesis 4, the first sibling rivalry unfolds with tragic results, as jealousy and sin take hold of Cain’s heart, leading him to murder his brother Abel. This story offers a powerful glimpse into the destructive power of sin and its ability to fracture relationships. Yet, it also highlights God’s relentless pursuit of humanity, calling us to repentance, reconciliation, and restoration. As we study Cain and Abel, we confront the struggle within all of us to overcome sin and live in right relationship with God and others.

February 9: Week 2: Sin & The Fall of Man: Paradise Lost
Genesis 3 brings us to the pivotal moment when sin entered the world, altering the course of history and humanity’s relationship with God. In the midst of paradise, Adam and Eve choose disobedience, leading to devastating consequences: separation from God, pain, toil, and death. Yet even in the midst of judgment, God extends grace, providing a glimmer of hope through His promise to redeem and restore His creation. This story reminds us of the depth of human brokenness and the steadfastness of God’s love and mercy.

In this series, we explore the origins of the universe, humanity, and the foundational promises made by God. From the creation story to the lives of the patriarchs, we examine the beginning of everything and the establishment of God's relationship with His people. We will discuss key events like the Fall, the Flood, the Tower of Babel, and God's covenant with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, providing a framework for understanding the rest of the Bible.

February 2: Week 1: Creation: The Beginning of Everything

Week 4 (January 26) – Ecclesia

In our final week, we’ll focus on the role of the church (ecclesia) in preserving and proclaiming God’s Word. From the early church fathers who compiled the canon to the modern church’s mission to make the Word flesh, we’ll explore how the church serves as a safety net for believers.

The church exists to help us study Scripture, hear God together, and test our understanding in a community of faith. It’s not a barrier but a bridge to knowing God more deeply. Together, we’ll see how the Word unites and empowers us to expand God’s kingdom in the world.

Week 3 (January 19) – Rhema 

How does God speak to His people today? In this message, we’ll explore the concept of rhema, God’s spoken word, and how to discern His voice in our lives. Using Elijah’s story and the Egyptian plagues as examples, we’ll see how God’s voice challenges false beliefs and leads us to truth.

We’ll also discuss the role of the Holy Spirit in communicating God’s will, always in alignment with Scripture. By understanding pneumatology—the study of the Holy Spirit—we’ll learn to hear God more clearly, building a deeper relationship with Him while staying rooted in His written Word.

Week 2

In week two we broke down the different types of books and sections of the Bible, and dove deeper into the importance of knowing the Word of God and the God of the word. We explored the need for revelation over simple information and talked about the transformative power of Scripture.

Understanding that the Bible was written for us, but to specific people in specific times will help us navigate timeless truths and cultural contexts.

Let’s discover how the Word shapes our lives today.

Week 1

In our opening message, we explore the composition of the bible itself; how it was formed and put together. We also look at the process of canonization and how inspiration works with faithful, spirit filled people compiling the miracle that is the bible. Additionally, we address the reliability of Scripture and the trustworthiness of the bible today.

Week 4: The Reign of the King
Our series concludes with the acknowledgment of Jesus’ death, resurrection, and ascension, which cement His role as the eternal King. This message celebrates the victory of Jesus over sin and death, His ongoing reign in the hearts of believers, and the anticipation of His second coming. We reflect on what it means to live under the reign of our Anointed King and the hope that brings.

Week 3: The Birth of the King

This week’s message celebrates the miraculous birth of Jesus, the moment when prophecy became a living, breathing reality. We'll explore the significance of Jesus' birth in Bethlehem, the humility of the manger, and the celestial announcement to the shepherds, reflecting on God’s choice to introduce the King of Kings into the world in such a humble way.
