Week 3 (June 2) – The Power of Words

Our words have the power to build or to destroy and God has called us to be intentional about the words we use. We will investigate the potent force of words as Proverbs portrays them and learn how to harness this power to build up, encourage, and impart grace, transforming our relationships and day to day interactions.

Week 1 (May 19) – Foundations of Wisdom

We will open the series looking at the structure and context of the Proverbs, including an overview of our journey together. We will uncover the foundational principle of wisdom in Proverbs: the fear of the Lord. We will explore how a reverent awe of God is the starting point knowing and loving Him.

Week 6 (May 12) Psalm 119 (He Teaches Us) & Psalm 150 (Outro)

We will wrap up this series in week 6 looking into Psalm 119 and 150. We will dig deeper into Psalm 119 and uncover the richness and reward of having a commitment to knowing and obeying God's word. And in Psalm 150 we will end as the Psalms do, in great expression of praise to God, with instruments, singing, and dancing.

Week 5 (May 5) – Psalm 91 (He Protects Us)

In week five we will dive into Psalm 91, another famous Psalm, and explore how God protects us when He is our refuge. We will come to understand what it means to "live in the shelter of the Most High" and all of His promises towards us when we do.

Week 4 (April 28) – Psalm 73 (He Fulfills Us)

In week four we will see how God fulfills us when we remain faithful to Him. We will discover, like Asaph, that the reward of following God is far greater than the rewards of following the enemy and the ways of the world. We will understand how acknowledging and dealing with sin in our own heart will allow us to maintain God's perspective in our life.

Week 3 (April 21) – Psalm 51 (He Forgives Us)

In week three we will look closer at how God forgives us in Psalm 51. This Psalm of David shows his heart of repentance after being confronted by the Prophet Nathan about his sin with Bathsheba. God's forgiveness extends to us when we humbly and sincerely acknowledge our sin and repent no matter the severity of our sin.

Week 2 (April 14) – Psalm 23 (He Cares For Us)

In week two we will unpack Psalm 23, one of the most famous Psalms, and see how God cares for us as our Great Shepherd. We will see how being led by God means we lack for nothing. He gives us rest, strength, protection, comfort, blessing, goodness, and unfailing love.

Week 1 (April 7) – Overview & Psalm 1 (He Leads Us)

We will open the series looking at the structure and context of the Psalms, including different authors, styles, and themes throughout. Then, in Psalm 1, we will see how God shows us what is in store for those that choose Him.
