So its definetely true that the Blob has a penchant for the blues. This episode focuses on an experimental lineup that wanted to create a softer sound in the environment of blues. This lower volume without the heavy lead guitar and loud drums was what John Mayall was after. The Blob really likes this album and he hopes you do as well.

Our request today comes from one of our listeners Amanda. HI AMANDA! She suggested this Scotish synthpop band from Glasgow. I can say that this genre falls right into Kingcows wheelhouse. Unlike him the Blob was less than enthusiastic. It does provide some bright and unique music that is sure to please and some rhetoric you should find amusing. Hey all you rhetorititions out there. Today we are changing it up a bit. Kingcow has a future episode that he hoped I would exchange for doing this weeks show. How could I not oblige? So.... since I get to choose again I figured it might be nice to go with one of rocks biggest acts Led Zepplin. As we continue rocktoberfest we are going to here some very experimental stuff and go with Presence. Hope you all enjoy the harvest!

Probably not even remotely spooky this episode features a song given to this group from one of rocks iconic figures. The Blob just likes this album, and since he is in the rocktober mood he thought he might try something odd and light. More of a harvest style rather than the spooky halloween genre the month is becoming noted for. So here, for your listening pleasure is "All the Young Dudes"

Coming at you again from the land of soundtracks is a great flick that covered a lot of ground and had and original score that was both contemporary and old school. The Blob says he isn't really a fan of musicals but he liked this story so he could compromise his morals on this occasion. He says that it inspired him to stay home more and listen to music. What and inspiration to us all. Me thinks the Blob might be demented or just crazy. You decide. Keeping with the theme of Halloween and the scary we decided to go with a classic soundtrack. Not only was the soundtrack good the movie was of a decent caliber. Nope its no typo, The Blob agreed that if the first side intrigued him enough with demented lyrics and music he would play side 2 on the next episode. Well, it certainly met the criteria for creepy lyrics. In the end I think you will find it interesting and unique. Listen with focus and clarity and you may find you hear something different. As we begin the month of harvest we thought playing some dark stuff might be worth a listen. Kingcow suggested and chose a unique album that has lyrics that have demented bent to them. It is clearly a dark piece done exceptionally well. For the sake of clarity let me say that one track was used in the movie Saw. Give this a listen and letme know what you think.

We thought transitioning into October with Black Sabbath would be appropriate. This is the harvest season and the scary season. So selling your soul is in line with the goulish and macabe. Of the bands discography listing you will not find this album. All tracks appear on other albums. But for this release the band was unaware and profited naught. Lets begin Rocktober with some darkness. Enjoy
