Dr. Patel is all about catchy acronyms, and one of my favorites is her acronym for DNA. DNA can feel like an abstract concept, but she has a very practical way of approaching it. She thinks of DNA as Discovering, Noticing, and Activating. She stresses the importance of discovering and noticing who you are and what you want in order to activate where you're going so you can outsmart stress and outlive life.
She also breaks down her DREAMS to Success formula, which stands for Difference, Ready, Energy, Affirmation, Motivation, and Self Care. When she wakes up in the morning, she asks herself a series of questions to jumpstart her day. What difference do I want to make in the world today? How ready am I for today? What energy do I want to radiate out today? What affirmation am I making for myself today? How motivated do I feel about today? And what part of my self care am I going to focus on today? I know I’m definitely going to start implementing that practice into my morning routine.
