Dan and I wanted to share our PERSONAL experience on this topic and why it's important to understand how to use different tools (such as fasting) for the benefit of your all around health. Our goal is to always share insight from our own experiences and the things we have learned, never to offer medical advice, etc. We encourage you to take ownership in the choices that you feel are best for you the same way we have done for ourselves! We would love to know your biggest takeaways with us!
It's easy to display things we're passionate about on social or even a highlight if you will, but underneath it all.. the couple that you think 'has it all' is working their asses off behind the scenes to be the best version of themselves. I don't share this to toot our horn WHATSOEVER, but I share this to remind you that we are just two parents learning to navigate different seasons of life and here to share what is and also isn't working for us. This is what we've been working through at this season, even if you can't see it daily. We're still pretty new at this parenting thing... but we've learned A LOT in the short amount of time since we've become parents and how to navigate through these tough seasons.
It can be overwhelming... nutrition, macros, ingredients -- we're lead to believe it's more complex than it needs to be! Friends, we're here to remind you that it's NOT! Simple shifts can change your habits, but changing what you value increases the quality of your life. Take a step back, zoom out and remind yourself... YOU are in the drivers seat. Take a listen to our thoughts on seeking out ingredients and removing the blindfold every time you set food in the grocery store.
Hey mamas! Gab here - I was literally in the midst of working on some stuff and I had to stop, drop and share the energy of what I was feeling in the moment. My main message to you today is that: you are not your anxious thoughts. Parenthood.... it's messy and the greatest thing I've ever done is let go of expectations and create a routine centered around filling my cup so I can be the best mom to P. I'm here to remind you that you're not alone in this journey. Listen to my top 5 tips on interrupting anxiousness, stress or worry and turn that into a situation to be grateful for.
The hustle and bustle of each day can definitely sweep you off your feet and away from staying connected with the ones you love most. One thing we've learned, specifically since becoming parents, is that putting our MARRIAGE at the forefront of our life. It helps us stay in alignment and connect on a deeper level when it comes to goals, communication and more. We hope this episode brings you inspiration to lean on the ones you love most and stay grounded in your foundation of constantly building your relationship!
What a season it has been for our WORLD! So many things are happening and our hearts hurt as we pray for peace and positivity as the outcome of it all. Something we've had to learn is that the more we stay grounded in the routines that allow us to be the best version of ourselves.. the more we can IMPACT this world and others. What kinds of habits and rituals keep you grounded to be your best you?
It’s not about restriction, counting calories, doing a 30-day challenge or what your idol is doing⠀
⠀
It’s about finding what works best for your body and genetic makeup.⠀
⠀
We are all different. ⠀
⠀
That Pinterest diet is not going to work for everyone.⠀
⠀
This was supposed to be a story, but I got passionate and kept rolling
⠀
Enjoy!
When I think of health, I don’t think of caloric restriction or chronic fitness routines. I think of eating foods that give me optimal energy levels to perform, think and FEEL better.
Which is why it’s so important to be INTENTIONAL when making healthy lifestyle changes. Notice I didn’t say restrictive. I didn’t say drastic. I didn’t say intense.
INTENTIONAL friends.
We hope these mini tangents help you look at the bigger picture instead of feeling like you have to diet to be healthy!
It's true. Your past does not equal your future, but one thing that we've learned is that you have to LOVE every version of yourself.. even the not so good versions/seasons in order to GROW and become stronger through it all. We hope this inspires you to dig deep, use your vulnerability as your super power and grow through the trials and errors that have made you... YOU!
There is so much power in making lifestyle changes as a FAMILY... it really goes DEEPER than getting that six pack or losing weight. For us, it's brought us CLOSER and helped us create a bond that we never thought was possible.. and it all stems back to the choices we make in the kitchen DAILY! We hope this episode inspires you to find that thing that makes you.. YOU with your spouse to create a life filled with challenges and ways to grow TOGETHER!
