Join Aneeq Ur Rehman and Dr Tariq Bajwa for Wednesday’s show from 4-6pm where we will be discussing : « Starving Gaza » and « Do we need organised religion? »
Starving Gaza
In today's world, where international law and humanitarian values are well-established, the deliberate use of starvation as a method of warfare remains a grave violation and sadly, a reality in many ongoing conflicts. Despite international prohibitions, starvation continues to be used as a weapon, targeting civilian populations by blocking food, destroying agriculture, and restricting humanitarian aid. Join us as we discuss how starvation has become a weapon of mass destruction in countries like Palestine, Ethiopia and Yemen, and give an insight on the Islamic teachings on war and peace.
Do we need organised religion?
In a fast-changing world, does religion still matter? While some assume faith is fading, research shows it continues to shape generosity, wellbeing, and moral direction in powerful ways. Through the lens of science, human behaviour, and Islamic teachings, we reflect on how religion remains a source of guidance, meaning, and unity — even in modern times.
