Conductor Brian Worsdale completes his first season in charge of with the Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra on Sunday evening, May 12th, 7pm at Carnegie Music Hall with a free concert including Mahler’s Fifth Symphony along with performances from the Wind Symphony and Symphonette plus a Vivaldi Concerto played by the Pittsburgh Symphony Principal Contrabassoon James Rodgers. Resonance Works Pittsburgh present's "American Serenade" May 11th and 12th, 2019 at Levy Hall, Rodef Shalom Congregation.   The program features works by Bernstein, Copland, Joan Tower, and a piece by Pittsburgh based composer Nancy Galbraith.  Resonance Works Artistic Director Maria Sensi Sellner and composer Diana Galbraith stopped by WQED-FM to talk about the concerts.

The Tuesday Musical Club Recital Series presents a free recital featuring soprano Colleen Gray with pianist Nanette Kaplan Solomon Tuesday May 7 at 1pm at Rodef Shalom Temple.  Slippery Rock University Professor Colleen Gray has recently published a book with the most comprehensive listings of music by Lee Hoiby.
