Don Franklin celebrates the 333rd birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach Sunday March 25 at 3 pm at Church of the Redeemer in Squirrel Hill with the Cantata 106 in honor of John Goldsmith the late conductor of the Heinz Chapel Choir and the Fourth Brandenburg Concerto. Internationally celebrated Bach scholar Don has the latest from the American Bach Society.

Jim Cunningham speaks with the host of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Fred Rogers in October of 1994 when Fred published his book You Are Special: Words of Wisdom for All Ages from a Beloved Neighbor. They discussed his thinking that guided the programs and WQED history.  At the end Fred recorded a radio spot and a  series of station identification announcements with the neighborhood regulars.

The Beo Quartet makes their debut at Rodef Shalom Temple Monday March 26 at 8:00pm in a Free concert with the  Beethoven "Harp" Quartet and Shostakovich Quartet No 10.  The quartet of Jason Neukom, Sean Neukom, Sandro Leal-Santiesteban and Ryan Ash join with Roy Sonne to roll out the plans.

IonSound Project with flutist Peggy You, pianist Jack Kurutz, violinist laura Motchalov and cellist Elisa Kohanski talk about their free concert at Bellefield Hall March 24, 2018 7pm with two performances  from the WQED-FM studio including Faure and music for filled beer bottles and violin.

Flutist and CMU faculty member Stephen Schultz with harpsichordist Jory Vinikour discuss their new recording of Bach Flute Sonatas taped in California at George Lucas Skywlker Sound. Side topics include news of the academic study of the Beatles and Jory's concert at Thiel College in Greenville Pa.
