Chatham Baroque begins its season with "Variations on Corelli," highlighting the Italian composer's influence on German, French and other composers of the Baroque. Violinist Andrew Fouts previews the concert, and lets Jim Cunningham play a "sneak peek" from Chatham Baroque's 10th CD, coming out in just a few weeks.

Duquesne University's David Allen Wehr talks about the launch of his two-year "Beethoven on the Bluff" concert series which will begin with the debut of the Duquesne Piano Trio. Wehr, a pianist, formed the trio with violinist Charles Stegeman and cellist Adam Liu. The first concert will include Beethoven's two Opus 70 trios and the popular Septet on September 22, 2013. An October 14th concert will feature the three Opus 1 trios, performed together as the composer intended.

Grammy-winning conductor Robert Page and actress Kate Young will join the Renaissance City Winds in a performance of "Facade," a work not performed in Pittsburgh in over two decades. British composer William Walton wrote the music to the poetry of Edith Sitwell, which is recited in precise rhythm against the instrumental music. The Winds will also perform quintets by Jacques Ibert and Gabriel Pierne -- plus a trio, The French Suite, by Robert Washburn.

Washington, PA native Paul Jacobs performs a concert at the Stambaugh Auditorium on Sunday September 22nd at 3pm. Paul talked to WQED-FM's Bryan Sejvar about the concert; how he got interested in classical music and the organ; what goes into making a recital program; and his plans for the upcoming performance season.

Arthur Miller's son Robert Miller directs the great playwright's first Broadway success, "All My Sons." Robert Miller talks about the play's origin, themes and characters. He also talks about the upcoming film version of "The Umbrella Man," first developed as a play at Point Park's Pittsburgh Playhouse. He is a producer of the film which is based upon the 1963 Kennedy assassination.
