3/30 Monday Voice of the Valley had two guests. First, Chris Born talks about school lunches being provided for pickup, and the school pickup location is changing to the Pioneer Elementary School starting Tuesday, March 31st. 

Next, Jenny Tracy gave COVID-19 updates, including new guidelines for entering the hospital.

Friday 3/27 Chuck Mark with the Forest Service talks about closures and restrictions due to COVID-19. Forest Service is open for phone calls. Gold Bug Hot Springs is now closed. The rest of the developed recreation sites in the forest (campgrounds etc.) will be closed soon also. However, trails and trailheads will remain open.

Mike Warner also spoke on behalf of the Fire Department. The Fireman's Ball has been cancelled. Their fundraiser raffle will still go on with a lot of great prizes!

Thursday 3/26 Rick Sessions speaks with the Salmon School District Superintendent, Chris Born, and Challis School District Superintendent, Lani Rembelski. Both superintendents give school updates and information for families as it pertains to dealing with COVID-19 school and activity closures.

3/25 Voice of the Valley host, Todd Skeen, speaks first with Emerald La Fortune with the Lemhi Volunteer Network to let people know about the services being provided to Lemhi County to assist during the Coronavirus pandemic. 

Next, Todd speaks with Dr. Joe Krakker and Jenny Tracy for Steele Memorial Medical Center to give updates from the local hospital. Questions were also called in from the community for a live question and answer session about COVID-19.

3/23 Beth Rackham from EICAP talks about new changes to East Idaho Community Action Partners for the local food bank as well as other services provided by EICAP. The office is closed for walk-ins, but people can still call 756-3999 during regular business hours for assistance. The food bank is still open on Wednesdays from 10-3. Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has temporarily raised the income limits for the food bank. idahofoodbank.org lists all of the food banks in Lemhi and Custer County.

Tuesday 3/24 Jenny Tracy speaks with Voice of the Valley host, Todd Skeen, about the current COVID-19 situation and Lemhi County. She also shares an announcement from East Idaho Public Health.

3/20 Jenny Tracy from Steele Memorial Medical Center gives information for the community regarding COVID-19.

3/19 A Groundbreaking ceremony took place at the east end of the high school parking lot to celebrate the construction of a new gymnasium facility being donated by Nep and Mary Ellen Lynch. A committee is overseeing the construction of the gym. The entire project will be overseen by Nep Lynch, and once construction is completed, the keys and ownership will be handed over to Salmon School District.

Friday 3/20 Chuck Mark calls in from the Forest Service to give an update on what the Forest Service is doing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. 

Jan and Ron give many updates from American Legion for Salmon, Challis and Mackay.

Thursday 3/19 Voice of the Valley host, Todd Skeen, talks with Fred Snook about local sports. 

The first event discussed is today's groundbreaking ceremony for the gymnasium/multi-use facility being donated by Nep and Mary Ellen Lynch. The ceremony will take place at 1 pm at the location of the new gym, on the east side of the high school parking lot. 

Also discussed are many sports being cancelled due to COVID-19.
