  • Nicole's Story
Tonight we are joined by Nicole. She starts her journey with feelings of alienation from her step family and being bullied at school, which led to early substance use. She fell into depression as a young teen and found herself working in East Hastings in Vancouver. She worked the streets while a serial killer routinely hunted, often finding his prey in the same area. She found her way into recovery, but it hasn't been easy. She experienced what must be one of life's most difficult things, a parent losing a child. Today she refuses to allow her addiction to define her and enjoys life with her children and hitting the road on her motorcycle.

  • Jenn's Story

This week, my other friend, Jenn... joins us and shares her story. It starts with major changes at an early age, which led to feelings of not fitting in and her rebellious teen years. Although she knocked on the doorway to recovery early in her life, she was able to stick with recovery after going through an adolescent focused recovery treatment center. Since then she dedicates both her professional and personal time to helping some of the most vulnerable humans. Thank you for your time and thank you for all that you do out there, my friend.
