I am joined by our group of certified White Bison facilitators that have been running the Medicine Wheel & The 12 Steps since November of last year. Marilyn, Michelle, Darcy, and Heather speak about how this program has impacted their lives and why they think this process is important. Starting in February they will be providing White Bison's, Mending Broken Hearts in the Calgary area. This comprehensive program provides culturally-based healing from grief, loss, and Intergenerational Trauma. We are grateful to share with you.

This week we sat down with Mike and Katherine. We talked about recovery, aliens, consciousness, discernment, conspiracy, and other things I know very little about. I left this podcast wondering about many, many things. Thankfully Darcy Robinson was there to revive me after I collapsed beneath the mountain of information Mike and Katherine provided. It was a lot of fun and they are wonderful humans. Thank you both for blowing my mind...

This was a fantastic conversation with Jon and Darcy about things like AI, youth activists, and our favourite things about 2019. We also have a very open, honest, and heartfelt conversation about depression, suicide, and the stigma that goes along with depression.

Jim joins us, sharing his story from childhood into young adolescence where alcohol slowly replaced his other mechanisms of survival. Jim learned early on that he could use his Asthma to gain attention and he used that whenever he could. He believed that drinking was a rite of passage, which he justified and allowed it to become more and more dominant in his life. His first steps to recovery came after a major car accident while he was under the influence. He struggled with recovery until he started to make spiritual connections, allowing that to help him find the courage and strength to remain sober.

Annie and Russ tell us about a wildly unknown group for couples, "Recovering Couples Anonymous" here in Calgary and all over the place. The approach seems way too logical and reasonable... It just might help folks out! This group meets at Wild Rose United Church, 1317 - 1st street NW in Calgary.

This week we are joined by long time friend, Linda. From her life as an army brat through so many twists and turns, you'll need a seat belt, into the present. Today, she manages her own company and expends countless volunteer hours helping veterans in her "spare" time. She is one of the helpers. The tireless. Ageless. Helpers. And for you, Linda. We are thankful.

Mary's story starts off with angry reluctance to enter recovery in order to appease her family, multiple life changing losses, and her eventually realizing that she had to stop looking for someone or something to heal her and start looking inside herself. She shares the importance spirituality and prayer plays in her recovery. She works with others regularly and honors herself and her family.

After years of dedicated military service and spending the last decade in law enforcement, Dusty and his wife Katherine have faced the reality of living with PTSD. Recognizing it as an inevitable consequence of his service and seeing it as an occupational stress injury helps both of them to understand that this is no different that mending any other injury. Working on healing as a team, we are honoured to have both of them talking so openly and honestly about this injury that affects both of them so deeply.
