Welcome back to Open the Voice Gate! Case (https://twitter.com/_inyourcase) and Mike (https://twitter.com/fujiiheya) are back with an update on the comings and goings of Dragongate.
If November 2020 was the biggest month in recent Dragon System history, then the first week of December was the busiest, as Case and Mike breakdown and review Dragongate’s 12/2 Korauken show, the tripleheader in Sapporo from 12/4 to 12/6, and the home base show from Kobe Sambo Hall on 12/8. Huge things are afoot as DG looks to finish the year strong as we get the forming of a new unit, a big heel turn and elevations, and the Generational War comes to a head with an enormous match made for Final Gate. As well, Case and Mike grapple with what exactly a Royal Sambo is, and what is exactly the family tree of Dragons within the Dragon System!

This week on Wrestling Omakase we look back at a great final night of tournament action in both the Best of the Super Juniors and World Tag League, recap both tournaments overall, and review Night 6 from the DDT D-Ou Grand Prix!

John is joined by first time guest and VOW contributor Jeri Evans (@TheJerriest_Jer) as they review the combined Night 9 of the NJPW Best of the Super Juniors and World Tag League. They review all ten matches in detail, discuss how we ended up with our two finals, and then also rank all ten wrestlers and ten teams by John's average star rating across each tournament, with Jeri throwing in her thoughts on all of them as well. They don't spare any harsh words for those who deserve it (Wato! Chase! Fale!) but of course there's tons of praise for those who deserve that too (Hiromu! SHO! Tekkers! Many others!).
Once that's out of the way John goes solo for the rest of the show, and before they get into their DDT review John brings the breaking news of the final card for the upcoming BOSJ/WTL finals at the Nippon Budokan on Friday. They speculate a little on some potential Wrestle Kingdom matches too. Then they turn their attention to the DDT D-Ou Night 6, a very solid night of action from a tournament that's been more miss than hit so far. John breaks down an excellent Takeshita-Sakaguchi match and a very good Endo-Takao match, plus all the other matches on the card as well. Finally, John looks ahead to next Saturday's Night 7, the last round robin night, and what the scenarios look like for all the remaining contenders to advance to the finals.

Plus, we'll unpack whether the wrestling economy is now at the point where one episode of a major weekly wrestling program is more valuable than a pay-per-view event.
