Voices Radio

@leo__saunders back in the studio this evening with an eclectic bag of 7”s!

Really special one this weekend as @Voices_radio turns 5 ❤️

A station built on community radio - people listening, supporting, showing up and building something that genuinely means something.

Joined by @JoshAitman - DJ, presenter and one of the main people behind @WeOutHerefest Radio — to talk community, the festival and this year’s theme: ‘It Takes A Village’.

Expect selections from artists playing the festival, tracks rooted in community, and a flavour of the sounds shaping We Out Here Radio.

Close to my heart too after representing Voices at We Out Here last year 🌞 Listen live 4-5pm

@smallgreenshoots taking over this months Crossword Lyric w/ @milli.rose this afternoon 🚨‼️ We’re playing the tunes that keep us feeling young and hip, strong and sunny and we hope you bop along with us.

A Spoonful of Sugar w/ @gilkinspoon_ (of @jelly_records ) & @euanmcginty (of @vdslondon ).

The duo met through working in two of East London’s finest record shops and realised an overlap in what styles of music they love to collect & select.

Half Japanese, half Irish, born & raised in London, Euan is a multi-instrumentalist and DJ who has an ever expansive repertoire of genres in his bag. From reggae to Latin and much more…He can also take you on a particularly deep dive of Japanese music culture.

He is the guitarist for @tokyo_riddim_band and is part of @the_kanpai_quartet . He is a member of the crew behind London’s renowned reissue label @timecapsulesounds and he can be found behind the counter at Colombia Road’s @vdslondon . Vinyl Delivery Service is a Tokyo based record merchant specialising in 2nd hand Japanese records/pressings.

Today they’ll be spinning some of their favourite finds from working and digging around in record shops. Expect some deeper cuts, stories and insights on what it’s like working in a record shop!

It's the Sunday Soul Cleanse Breakfast Show with Heléna Star! Spanning across jazz, soul, hip hop, brokenbeat! Keep it locked!

Somewhere between sleep and sunlight,

Mellow Mirage Session drifts in—

soft rhythms, shimmering textures,

like morning light dancing on water.

Soundscapes, gentle beats, distant melodies,

a quiet invitation to sway, hum, or simply be.

Let this be your gentle entry into the day—

a mirage that moves with you,

a soundtrack for slow awakenings and open windows.

Greetings,

Dusty Showbiz is all about the unique sonic fingerprint of music, and for this installment, I bring you Providence-based Sean Gryesten Fields, known as Audiofields. Sean emerged from Copenhagen’s 2010s sound system culture and has been a vital force in the Northeast US dance music scene since 2018, cutting his teeth through New York City’s Dub-Stuy, Konkrete Jungle, and Bassdrive Radio before establishing himself in Providence, Rhode Island.

His sound is defined by cavernous bass pressure and rhythms that groove through the gaps, straddling frenetic, sensual and meditative energies.

Audiofields treats music as a medium for catharsis and storytelling, crafting holistic experiences for local communities while pushing outward to share his distinctive style with the world.
