It’s probably the single event each year that gives me the “reset” that I need.  Coming at the end of the year, which is such a good time to reflect anyways – Big Cis is the chance for me to remember back to starting Cincy Brewcast.  The focus for the show, the focus for the blog – the focus for me as a craft beer fan in Cincinnati is easy to lose throughout the hectic happenings of each year.

Big Cis is about Mike, you know that… you hopefully read a little bit about it when I wrote about it.  I can’t help, though to remember that much like Mike himself… this event becomes about the people around us.  Before we dig into what we drank, and what we talked about on the show, I have to give a shoutout to all the people who made the event happen.  Of course… Andy Reynolds at Alexandria Brewing Company for brewing this year’s batch and hosting the event.  I could write a long sappy love letter to you for what you’ve done… but few people would understand it.

Braxton Brewing Company (especially Evan and Adam), Darkness Brewing (especially Eric Bosler), Municipal Brew Works (Sean Willingham), Mario Pastura, and Don Marsh for helping Andy brew this special beer this year.

My wife – Mrs. Gnome, and Andy’s fantastic and much better half Ann, for running the hectic and critical raffle table (while being terrorized by my almost 2-year-old daughter).
